Very well cleaned and superb facilities.
A beautiful part of Devon and great beaches.
The site was more than adequate and the staff very helpful.
Good for kids. And very cheap.

Allocated reasonable pitch for us as we need a flat one and not all are. Good facilities. I would have liked a seas view but these were only for no electric hook up. To be fair they are very wind blown and for the hardy campers well pegged down. Walking excellent with beautiful sea views. A well stocked shop on site. Good food to be had in Mortehoe a short walk away.

A great clean and well laid out camping field with individual plots separated by hedges, some plots required wheel chocks to get a level van but well looked after
No noise although we stayed off season
Facilities are clean and tidy even the food was good value
A nice camping site that will keep the kids entertained on a rainy day

Brilliant campsite here with a large variety of pitches with or without electric hookup. Toilet and shower block is of good standard and is well maintained; plenty of room. Entertainment block is well maintained with plenty to do. Shop is always well stocked.

When we arrived at site we headed to reception to check in. As we had an "Exclusive" holiday home we were able to check in from 1pm and the welcome team were very friendly and explained where everything was in the park and what facilities we had access to.
We made our way to the holiday home and were taken aback by how nice it was from the outside, we thought that if the inside was as nice as the outside we knew were going to enjoy this and we were not disappointed in any way.
We were hoping for great views and we got exactly that, panoramic views of the beach and dunes which were stunning and could be seen from both inside and outside the accommodation. Outside had a lovely decked area with seating provided and a BBQ. The BBQ was not there when we arrived, however a quick call to reception and we soon had this delivered, top service.
Inside the holiday home we were greeted with a lovely welcome pack including some fruit juice, muffins, chocolates, crisps and some cookies, this was a great touch. We found the accommodation to be very clean and well looked after and the kitchen area was fully equipped with all the utensils and bits you need. It was a modern design with modern features and a really comfy sofa.
On site they offer so many facilities that if you wanted to you do not even have to leave the park. This year they had just opened a new leisure complex which houses the bar, entertainment area, pool tables, bowling, etc. Upstairs is a large entertainment area with bar and kids bar and they hold the usual holiday park entertainment in the evenings which is great for all the family - the entertainment team were enthusiastic and very professional.
You can also sit in an outdoors area at the complex and soak up the views. They provide a great menu should you not wish to cook for yourself and the prices were very reasonable too. Drinks seemed reasonable too, we paid £8 for a white wine spritzer and lager and they offered a good choice of mainstream drinks and snacks.
There is a large children's play area on site, and there is also mini golf on site which was great fun for all of us! They have a couple of pools, one outside which was a good size with plenty of loungers. There is also an indoor pool plus a children's pool which was perfect should the weather not be as good as it could be. There is a gym on site but we didn't use it - worth noting there is an extra cost to use this facility.
There is a launderette with washing and ironing facilities which is useful for sandy towels and swimming costumes, etc.
There is a fair sized supermarket on site and the prices were very reasonable and this is a real bonus to top up your shopping without having to leave the park for the local Tesco etc.
On the subject of the area, the site is located perfectly for reaching Woolacombe Beach and all the local towns and villages and walks along the coastal path. You can walk to the beach or use the hourly bus service which runs you down there. You can also take the bus to use the facilities at the three other parks in the group.
If you wish to eat offsite, the Old Mill pub is under two miles from the park, just off Ossaborough Lane. We ate there and the food was delicious with a wide range on the menu and good selection of drinks.
We absolutely loved our stay here and this site gets a huge thumbs up from us and we will definitely be returning next year, and feel this site, with use of the other three sites facilities, will be on our holiday list of places to stay for years to come. Well done all the team Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks.

Really easy to find the site, and our pitch was well marked. When we booked we were given a gravel pitch, but upon arriving our tent pegs were not suitable as rather than it being gravel it was solid concrete hardstanding for caravans not tents! We were moved without a problem to a grass pitch. The site was clean and well maintained (with the exception of two taps not working in the bathroom and no hand soap in one dispenser all week). The £3m makeover was obvious with the main building and outdoor pool area looking neat and tidy. Shame the £3m didn't stretch to the indoor pool it was a bit tired with lots of broken lockers and a dated token entry system with tokens available at reception. The pitches were good with water and electric on same pitch but our 6m x 3m tent was squeezed on and very close to our noisy inconsiderate neighbours. We enjoyed our holiday in the main, but wouldn't stay here again as it was too far from the beaches certainly not walking distance so unless you want to stay on site all week this is an important factor. Supermarkets were a 20min drive away and the on site shop was very expensive roughly 1/3 more.

We returned to woolacombe this year after a four year absence and found a few changes - most for the good!
Reception has been refreshed and was - for the most part - staffed by cheery, happy people.
The Showers have been revamped into wet-rooms and all now have functioning locks, but have gone from being mostly luke-warm to so hot you have to dance in and out of the water to avoid being scalded! No footwear is allowed in the cublicles but there is no-where to sit to remove/put on your footwear outside of them - not all of us can wear flip-flops!
The downside for us was that we'd been sited high up the camping field, under trees and although it was nice to have the tent shaded from the sun, we had a lot of bird mess to contend with. It was incredibly windy, although sunny, but we weren't able to sit outside or barbeque due to this.
That said, The shop, spa, pools and entertainment block remain the same although they are apparently being levelled and rebuilt at the end of this seeason. We did have a good time and enjoy the flexibility of having 4 sites to use and the bus so we have booked already for next year but have requested a lower pitch nearer the showers and toilets.

Had to have a large gravel pitch due to the size of our caravan which was very spacious, but was on a slope meaning there was a big gap from the door to our double caravan step. Not ideal for the kids or when you've had one too many.
Other than that I really can't fault this site.
No lifeguard in the indoor pool but you needed tokens (from reception) to enter so was pretty safe.
Arcade amusements were fantastic. Actually won prizes!
Shower and toilet blocks very clean.
The local beach was pretty amazing.
Another down side was that they do not offer late check out for a small fee like most sites, also the road leading to the site was a bit narrow for a caravan. But this seems to be the case at most sites these days.
We drove over 3 hours to reach this site and was worth it. Would definitely consider returning.

Quick review as here currently. Food expensive and poor quality. Not fresh. Drinks expensive. Noticed a 4 star sign which made me chuckle.
One shower block on a different level for camping.
Muddy tracks.
Very hilly/steep walk to village and beach but buses are available.
Overall quite old fashioned and not very up to date. 1 toilet/Shower block is poor.
There are some on site facilities but we ended up using golden coast for the wave surf simulator and high ropes.

This is a great camping site for people that don't really like camping that much. There is every type of facility you can think of (indoor and outdoor pools, outdoor bar, indoor bar, restaurant, surf simulator, climbing wall, go karts and a beauty salon just to name a few), we were there for 2 days and didn't actually get to use round to using it all. The shower blocks even have saunas in them! A bit pricier then others but this is literally a full holiday resort. Its still walkable from the town via a footpath but probably wouldn't chance it in the dark.
