Palmers Farm was a lovely place to stay.
Nothing was any bother and the facilities were nice and clean.
Having coffee in the morning and watching the dear walking through the woods was just the icing on the cake for me.

Amazing views, quiet location, beautifully basic,
Would definitely go back again,
Local to us which makes it even better,
Logs provided by the farmer for an evening fire.

We came on a small group. Loads of space and beautiful views.
Great walk on public footpaths to the pub!
Russell the owner is really helpful and very welcoming.
We had a campfire and had free wood supplied.
Definitely coming back again and would recommend.

A beautiful quiet spot with a lovely view and very helpful and welcoming owner.
It is basic, as stated in the description, but had all I needed for the night

If you like getting back to basics then this place is fabulous.
Sure, water is via a tap in the field and there are only basic toilets, but the location, space, views and sunsets are to die for especially when you’re sat around a campfire that has wood delivered to your pitch!
We loved it and will be returning very soon.

Amazing view over the valley.
Being able to have an open campfire was the main reason for booking. Russell dropped off some firewood and helped to get it going.
Was able to pitch on a quiet corner at the back of the field but still had views.
Easily able to access Harrison's Rock down the road for climbing.

Palmers is a magical place because it is simple unspoilt and a beautiful location.
There are walks and peace and quiet with just the nature all around. Spot the deer red kites and buzzards.
Plus wood is delivered to your pitch every evening for a campfire.
There is a very simple set up which suits us perfectly a water tap and a composting toilet or as we call it a loo with a view that also has had a wren nesting inside for the last two years!

A lovely campsite for those looking for “back to basics” camping.
Facilities are limited but that’s what we like about this place. There’s a portaloo and access to water.
Only £8/person/night. Friendly owner.
Logs available.

An absolute gem of a campsite!
A lovely relaxed atmosphere with beautiful views, all the wood you could possibly need delivered to your site and close to great walks, wild swimming and climbing.
Russel is very friendly and accommodating and will even deliver eggs and milk.
Can’t wait to come back next year!

This was a bit of a night mere got stuck in field on way in a damage caravan.
Entry is very uneven and muddy.
You pay for each person so it was coasting £24 per night and all you got was water !
When we booked was told it was £8 per night ????
Farmer was driving up and down field till 10. 30 at night
Then had a group of 50 hippies playing loud music until 3 am in morning for 4 nights
Never came to empty toilet waste.
Well over priced for all in all just a muddy field.
