Our hosts couldn’t have been more amenable or pleasant.

Good base for days out, handy transport link close by if required.

Plenty of quality restaurants in area, two very close by.

Electrical costs very reasonable and shower block very well maintained and nice and warm.

Slight road noise and kennels located nearby can be heard at feeding times but not that much of an inconvenience.

Can’t wait to return.

Beautifully kept site with excellent facilities and central for Ribble Valley locations including Clitheroe.

Two lovely restaurants within a few hundred yards of site.

Owners both very helpful and informative we would definitely go again.

Had a lovely weekend sat in the sun on this lovely site x

Walter takes pride in the site and you can tell…

Toilets and showers lovely and clean.

Not lots to do nearby but we had a trip into Whalley a lovely little village and a drink in Mellor. The spread eagle which had lovely views…

Would recommend x

A pretty, convenient site with hardstanding flat pitches. Walter met us and explained where all the facilities were and also gave us a useful information sheet together with bus timetable.

As electric is an extra he showed us how we could monitor our usage but recommended cooking and heating with gas, which we did. There was no drive over grey water disposal and he said to attach our grey waste pipe and place it in the flower border.

Our pitch was a regular size and our 7. 5 m MH fully covered the hardstanding. We had to go on forward so our door opened onto a narrow stone path to avoid walking on the very wet grass.

Electric and water were between pitches. We paid £25 midweek and £30 weekend and used just over £9 in electric.

The toilet facilities were spotless. We didn’t use the showers as didn’t like the idea of stepping out of shower tray into a curtained area shared by the other shower in order to get dressed. Also shower 20p per minute and didn’t want to keep popping out to add more coins.

Would prefer a set price say for 10 min. We walked to the Bay Horse twice which took about 25 min. We caught the bus to Whaley which was nice for an hour.

We went on the bus to Skipton and also Clitheroe so there is plenty to do and see. We also went to Tiggies, the local Italian and had a lovely Sunday meal but would recommend booking as it was very busy.

This is a lovely site run by Walter and Lisa who are very helpful. If we are in the area again we would certainly visit again.

Lovely site, very good facilities and whole place beautifully presented.

Easy to find and very helpful owner.

Showers, toilets etc spotless,

Only downside is the busy road but that is not detrimental to the overall experience

Directions on how to find the site were excellent and easy to follow.

We were met by Walter who took us to our full service pitch and as others have said, he was so friendly and welcoming. He helped us to position the caravan to its best advantage and even offered to lend us an electric cable when we thought ours wouldn’t be long enough.

The site is superbly maintained and the loo/shower block were immaculate, it sparkled.

The only slight problem was that the Wi-Fi didn’t always work where we were but did near the loo block but it was provided for free which was a positive.

Thank you Walter for making our stay so pleasant. L&J Hunt

So hard to give this review as others have rated it high. I’m afraid we didn’t. There were too many rules for us. We were told how to pitch up (on a very small pitch), no ground sheets allowed.

Told how to use the water, no washing dishes after 8pm, frying pans / ridge monkeys etc are not permitted to be washed there. We felt watched constantly, when we used the facilities he (Walter) went straight in there check it.

Having said all this the facilities are spotlessly clean, if you can get through the doors under the spiders and spider nests. (Sorry, it’s my thing).

Showers are very small, there is no place to change or hang your clothes. These have to be kept outside the showers which is in the main toilet block.

There seems to be a building project going on next door which was noisy.

To walk dogs you have to take them out of the site across an extremely busy road to walk along an overgrown public right of way.

This site has a lot of seasonal pitches and we did feel a bit uncomfortable. Not for us.

We paid nearly £40 per night for a small standard pitch.

Not a great stay as there wasn’t any hot water on the site from the Saturday morning, no showers or hot water in the toilets or to wash the pots with.

Hopefully the boiler will be mended soon, suppose someone will be called out on Monday.

No price reduction offered which was a little disappointing
