Not for me, far too many trees for my liking, no views.

The site was quiet enough,

Difficult to get around without a car as the local bus failed to show.

Being surrounded by Static Caravans the pitch felt a bit claustrophobic.

It would appear that once the Static Caravans were laid out, any remaining space around the site was used the accommodate a Tourer.

The ground outside the door of the caravan was bare earth and therefore dirt was brought into the van on our feet. Seldom anyone in Reception to talk to.

The loch was beautiful but none of the touring pitches had a view. The toilets, although clean, are very dated.

Despite the above we enjoyed our stay, although a bit disappointed. Also the Lodge on the Loch did not take non residents for meals.

Not much to do in Aboyne but Banchory was nice.

Stayed here couple of nights on our travels through Scotland. All in all a ‘rustic’ site.

Facilities in centre of campsite, so some pitches closer than others. Very clean shower/toilet blocks. Lovely hot water. Facilities for laundry/ dishwashing.

Pitch we were given a bit tight but was fully serviced.

Wardens very friendly & accommodating.

Nice steady walk into village of Aboyne on country footpath. Co-op, post office + other stores & cafes in village.

Pleasant location around loch, although all permanent pitches surround it.

There was nothing not to like, except from the rain which unfortunately appeared in our final 2 days.

But other than this natural hazard the entire week was just what we were looking for.

Peace, tranquillity, lovely walking areas and gorgeous scenery.

The site managers Becca and Ray were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Highly recommended and we are returning next summer

Ourselves and our friends were all booked to attend The Royal Deeside Motor Show at Kincardine castle but due to the Coronavirus and the advice from the Scottish Government the event was rescheduled to August 2021 so hopefully it will still go ahead.

However I had booked for us all to stay at Aboyne Loch Caravan Park so we still decided to go and we were all so glad that we did.

It was absolutely awesome weather to be away and our 2 x nights at Aboyne was truly very enjoyable.

The New Wardens on the Site, (Ray & Becca) were absolutely brilliant and very friendly and certainly are keeping the Site in pristine condition, everywhere was very well maintained and the Toilets and Showers immaculate, so Five Stars to them as they are both doing an amazing job.

They allocated us a large pitch to accommodate both Motorhomes and made our stay even all the more enjoyable so big hugs to them both. XX

We are all going back to stay in August and are already looking forward to returning to Aboyne Loch Caravan Park.

Love this site it's the 2nd year we have been here now,

The staff are friendly and great people always willing to help you.

The site is great, lovely walks about the area and you can hire boats to go on the Loch

We love this place and will be back every year after this pandemic does one, missed the holiday in 2020 kids were gutted but going 2021

Would deffo recommend here everyone is so friendly.

There are toilets, showers and a laundry on site also a fire pit area where people gather, chill out, drink, talk and have a laugh.

Nice site and the wardens are very helpful.

You can walk around the lake which is nice on a sunny day.

Toilet block is old and could do with a bit of TLC, but they are clean.

Internet is only available in the vicinity of the pool room and we couldn't get a 3G signal for mobile phone.

Deeside has plenty to offer with several Scottish National Trust sites nearby and of course Balmoral Castle, but this is only open to the public in spring.

There are lots of places with good food on offer. The World Horse Welfare establishment at Belwade Farm is well worth a visit and they offer good food with a view over the Dee Valley. (Not open Monday or Tuesday)

Lovely right beside the lake very quiet and all the neighbours were nice. Definitely recommended for water activities fishing ect. Only an hours drive for Aberdeen as we had children was okkie drive for amusement.

We stayed at this caravan park for 3 nights, actually extending our stay by one night. We were put beside the BBQ area which was absolutely perfect! There is an undercover area with a log burner, picnic bench and dish washing facilities which we made great use of. I would say that the tent area has been upgraded since the tent review in 2014 as the ground was grassy and it was easy to get the pegs in.

The toilets and showers are immaculate and nice and hot and there is also a very handy laundry room.

Both the lady and gent who run the caravan park (not sure if they are the owners) were very friendly and welcoming.

Absolutely no complaints and I'm sure we will be back.
