Small site, great easy walks, or hard walking up and down hills. Nice park land with lake and ducks.
Gentle way into Aberdare down by the river.
On site great personnel, very pleasant and helpful.
Laundry room with freshly installed white goods.
Camping site reception located with the Gravity section. Luci is manageress, , and very helpful.

Pleasantly surprised. We had a dry fine weekend which for this type of campsite is a must. Plenty to do within walking distance, equestrian centre, down hill bike riding with a bike lift. Bmx type track, 2 play parks 1 of which was wooden with an amazing variety of activities. A lovely cafe with a variety of meals which were reasonably priced but closed at 4pm daily.
Showers on site couldn't fault, free hot showers with a code to enter. Pitches were flat & spacious. Very well laid out, with a coded lock to the entrance gate. Think you have to report to the bike centre on arrival. I was with a rally so organisers met us.
Plenty of walks & historical plaques to read about the area & its coal mining heritage. The's an old railway track walk into Aberdare which was about 1½ miles away.
All in all a gem of a campsite. ONLY down side I would say is the drive through the Aberdare narrow streets to get to the entrance really awkward in places with oncoming traffic, especially if towing a caravan or a large motorhome. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely quiet site with good facilities x
On site cafe serves beautiful meals at a very reasonable price. Full cooked breakfast and coffee was outstanding.
Was nice to see locals in there too.
Dog friendly and even offered doggy snacks.

The location is fine, perhaps for a shorter stay than 6 nights because the park itself is not as big as we expected.
Driving through the the narrow streets of Aberdare with a caravan is not something for the faint hearted.

I loved it's location, seemed, "away from it all", yet the town of Aberdare is just about walkable and it's in a lovely park with lakes, fields and forests to wander around.
The site has wonderful views and the facilities are modern and adequate.
The reception building is located near the café and visitor centre just the other side of the public (&free) carpark.
There's a code for the entrance gate and another for the fiddly lock to enter the amenity block. I assume necessary but tiresome each time for a pee.
The pitches are flat and firm, all have EHU available but the water standpipes were sparsely available.
Definitely added to my favourite sites for future visits with my partner and dog.

Excellent, little oasis in the Aberdare countryside,
Toilet and shower block immaculate,
Wonderful food in nearby cafe,
We went mountain biking in located centre and the manager Will immensely helpful as my husband slightly disabled,
Would recommend to anyone wanting a getaway with plenty to do and 40 mins by train to cardiff

Stayed here to make use of the MTB cycle track,
Really good site excellent facilities, toilet and showers warm and clean and working properly,
A cafe and a coffee bar on site, the food in the cafe is excellent and there is a pub called the Ton Glwyd Fawrabout a mile and a half walk into the next village which serves excellent food and is really friendly.
We had a great time while at this site, we also cycled from the site into Aberdare which takes you along a lovely traffic free route.
We will be back!
