Came up to see the glorious Falls of Dochart with fabulous autumn leaves - one of the top 10 sites in Scotland for autumn colour and they did not disappoint. Nor did the site - we chose a pitch one row back from the River Lochay because there's a high-voltage cable over the riverside pitches.
Had a struggle with the EHU, not because it was 1 metre higher than usual (due to flooding, I guess, or else this area would have houses on it) but because you had to turn the socket & push a button or some such; got there eventually.
Awesome views NE to the hills that run west of Ben Lawers. Facilities block closed 11:00-11:45, and the sinks had all been cleaned in the evening without the block being closed. No Wi-Fi. And only one radio station. Good 4G signal.
Lots of interest in Killin; there's a historical walk that's interesting; plenty of places to eat & pop into the Post Office as it's now an excellent community shop selling papers etc; the Old Mill has a working undershot wheel, interesting exhibitions & an excellent craft shop. And the Falls. More rapids than waterfalls, but find a seat and just watch: mesmerising.
A good walk back - follow the signs to the Public Toilets beyond the Co-op, join the old railway line over the river, then walk along the river bank (grass path) to the head of Loch Tay, keep going until you reach a beautiful grove of ancient oak trees and a narrow tarmac road, this will take you back past ruined (and private) Finlarig castle, the well-tended cemetery, over the river again and back to the site. (Or in reverse. ) Dog on lead off the road, as there's stock in the fields.

3 nights here. Lovely, helpful wardens again, the facilities were as clean as you’d expect from CAMC, albeit a little dated compared to others.
It has clearly rained a lot there recently, there are a lot of weeds on the pitches. Some parts of the site had recently flooded apparently.
A beautiful area to explore, both on foot and by car.
Nice pub and tea room in the village.

Lovely location right next to the river surrounded by mountains, Forrest and Lochs. Standard Caravan and Motorhome club pitches etc.
Facilities long overdue for an upgrade although the showers were hot. The site would benefit from some fully serviced pitches.
Good WiFi and reasonable TV signal. Ten minute walk into Killin with plenty of places to eat and a few shops including a large Co-op.
Plenty to see in the area including the Falls of Docherty, Loch Tay, Loch Earnhead, Kenmore, Aberfeldy and not much further to Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Crieff, Pitlochry, Perth etc.

Everything was fine.
There's a great drying room for wet weather gear and wetsuits.
But I still feel £24.80 is expensive as a solo traveller and not using ehu.
A meter for ehu or a discount for not using it would be very welcome.

Stayed here for 4 nights, weather was beautiful. Welcome when we arrived was great and you get to pick your pitch.
The site has some lovely views and walks.
Main road to Aberfeldy ran behind our pitch but it was quite quiet, only bother we had was barking dogs. Don't mind dogs but not when they're left to bark all the time.
Toilets were clean but in need of upgrade. Would go back again.

Lovely site, ten mins walk into Killin village. Would recommend booking ahead for the local pubs /hotel as we tried a few places before finding space at a lodge type restaurant/ bar. The Capercaillie. Busy place with youngsters, locals and visitors. Food was average, nothing special.
The Falls of Dochart are literally in the village. Beautiful. Even though it was pouring rain. Very nice gift shop across the road to the Falls.
Shutters Tea room is worth a visit, lovely staff and very nice food.
Lovely walk to Loch Tay. About twenty minutes from the campsite. The loveliest loch we saw on our travels apart from our favourite, Loch Ness.
In walking back into the village from the Loch, you pass the Co-op, ideal for supplies.
There is only one amenities block at the site. Quite dated but clean.
We only stayed here two nights. Was nice to see the Falls and the Loch. Would stop here again but only as a short stopover.

This is our second visit to this site, the previous being over three years ago. This time, the site was fairly full, it's quite a large site so didn't feel too busy.
This time we did notice the toilet block good to do with a spruce up, although, it's very clean, the floor is discoloured. Not a major issue though. I like the site as it's close to the village centre.
There is some road noise from the main road during the day but very little at night. Lots of bird noises, we heard cuckoos, woodpeckers and a tawny owl!
Note for previous guests, the co-op has moved into a purpose built store nearby and the Coach House pub opposite the site is no longer open.

Large site, right on the banks of the river and a short walk from Killin town centre.
Good access to Loch Tay beaches via Pier Road, which runs by the site.
Access to Loch Lomond, Trossachs, Stirling and Callander all nice and easy from the site. A little further to Oban and Glencoe, but we’ll worth it.
Very wet while we were there and some pitches ended up under water. Facilities excellent and nice site staff.
