Fantastic location, with views over Loch Lomond, beach access to wild swim, good size pitches, very clean toilets and showers with a very easy walk into Luss.

Although reception was open and it was a lovely weather the door was shut! Just would have been a lot more friendly if it had been wedged open!

Definitely would stay again!

Beautiful location on the banks of the Loch and so close to the delights of the village, Luss.

A perfect and very enjoyable stay - one not too be missed.

A few more water points would be a bonus.

Anti slip mats in the showers for us oldies would be a bonus!)

Wonderful location but unlikely we will be back.

We arrived with our caravan and 2 grandchildren in glorious sunshine. Getting booked in was easy if repetitive as I heard the DONTS being relayed to 3 visitors before me. Given our pitch I noted we hadn’t brought our awning. That was just as well as it would have been a struggle to fit it on the tiny pitch. There wasn’t room for the car without it being parked on the grass which is not allowed.

Without a motor mover it would have been impossible to not drive on the grass. This site is not caravan friendly.

The grass had been reseeded around us and tape blocked access to pitches behind us. Whilst parts had clearly been reseeded next to our pitch they weren’t blocked off and we took care to not walk over. The grass was covered in clumps of clippings. These trailed into our caravan despite our best efforts.

Despite having 2 children with us we found we were the furthest possible from the play area. It was basic anyway and held an unlocked 440 volt distribution board! Unreal!

There are 2 toilet blocks. Each has 2 showers. We shared our closest with the tent site. Filthy, disgusting with an overflowing feminine hygiene bin in the toilet cubicle. The whole floor strewn with the grass clumps.

The Gents toilets are the most disgusting my husband has ever seen. No loo roll and you can guess the rest. I dread to imagine how many had to share them.

Chemical disposal was at the furthest away toilet block from our pitch. The thing with caravans is we have to carry or roll our toilets for emptying. I recall pointing out to the warden on checking in that service points didn’t apply to us as she was merrily circling them on the map.

Perhaps the site could consider investing in existing pitches. The ones that are knee high with docken and other weeds before constructing new ones. Or perhaps it’s time to stop taking money from caravanners. I understand we are in the minority now. I would rather go somewhere I am valued than be so badly disrespected.

Despite the website stating this site is part of the Caravan & Camping Club they are not listed there.

Have visited once or twice before over the years. Great location but near the road. Toilets are regularly blocked and there are only four showers in total for each gender. Bring extra toilet and hand soap for the loos as it is often empty. Be prepared to hit the shower percussion tap every two seconds if you want to rinse off!

The site is very boggy in places especially after rainfall. This could be remedied by a few wheelbarrows of Type 1 gravel here and there in high traffic fence gaps and beside the trackways. Parking is very limited and tight. The site is a bit shabby and needs some TLC to repair road markers etc.

The bins are at the entrance to the site which includes all recycling. It's not very handy and more bins strategically placed could make things easier for those less able.

The staff customer service is pretty dire. It's like they're doing you a favour letting you stay over. A few of them are quite socially awkward and downright aggressive around the public and don't appear trained in how to offer adequate customer service to a reasonable level. At almost £50 a night for an electric pitch, I'd like to feel like a valued guest, not an intruder.

All in all, expensive site, not that great, with very militant site wardens who aren't very customer focussed. If you can't cope with a low stress job running a campsite, you need to rethink your career options.

The Loch side location was beautiful

But the hardstanding was muddy and needed topping up with stone (we had to collect some to place in front of the door).

The toilets were often blocked and all rubbish had to be taken to the site entrance which was a long way from most pitches.

At £44 per night it did not represent good value for money.

This is a very good site in a wonderful location alongside Loch Lomond.

We were pitched about 30m from the shoreline on hard standing with EHU. There are two facilities blocks with modern clean toilets and showers. The staff were really helpful and gave us a lovely welcome. There is drive over grey waste point, which is always a bonus for us and chemical waste point outside the main facilities block.

There is a separate field for tents at the far end of the site with parking alongside, but most of the site is for caravans and motorhomes.

The beautiful Luss village is only a few minutes walk away, where there is a pub and a few cafes/restaurants, well worth a visit. There is also a fuel station in the village.

We were not bothered by the road noise, as others have commented, and found it to be a great stopover on our way to the western Isles. We will be back for sure, maybe for more than a single night next time.

This site has many plus points, notably the beautiful location. We were in the third row back from the loch but still had lovely views.

The front pitches overlooking the loch are the ones to go for as the views are superb.

The whole site is well cared for and a nice environment and is also minutes walk from pretty Luss village with some nice shops & cafes and a pub plus boat trips on the loch.

There’s a good food shop too that stays open till 6pm each day plus a petrol station.

We were just overnighting on our way home from the Highlands and the site is perfectly situated for this.

We will definitely use it again for that purpose but the road noise from the A82 was quite loud so we wouldn’t extend our stay.

Additionally, you can’t park anywhere near to the chemical toilet disposal point and our toilet isn’t fitted into our van so the cassette has no wheels. It was far too heavy when full for me to carry to the emptying point. We ended up leaving it till the next campsite. Additionally the only bins/recycling are at the entrance to the site so it’s a considerable hike with your rubbish.

Other than that the staff were very friendly and efficient and we had a very pleasant stay.

We left after one night, road noise was awful, heavy traffic even at night and early morning.

Inadequate amount of showers, which I didn't bother with as they were dirty!

Spoke to staff about noise and the showers, they seemed surprised by my complaints but agreed to my request for a refund.

I wouldn't recommend this site unless you are comfortable with considerable road noise, the Loch is gorgeous but this site wasn't for us, looked like nice pub within walking distance.

Arrived on site which has to be said has scenery to die for.

The girl on reception stood and rhymed off all of the things that were not allowed without drawing breath.

We paid £48 per night and got a very narrow pitch which, we struggled to put our awning up as you can't use any of the grass for pegging etc.

Anyway, we managed after some choice words 😁.

It is quite a long site with a fair distance to the gates from some pitches.

Bins had to be taken to the front gates which was a struggle for those with reduced mobility, disabled toilets were also away at reception.

The toilet blocks(2) were clean enough but really inadequate for the numbers on site. 2 shower cubicles in each block.

My pet hate here was the staff closing the toilets at 930 am for cleaning, busiest time of the morning? Really?

It is in a lovely part of the world but this site is expensive, poorly laid out and not worth the money in my opinion.

If you are disabled do ask for a pitch near the entrance as you will struggle otherwise.

This is a fantastic location on the edge of Loch Lomond with direct access to the foreshore but it also borders the busy A82 and there is considerable road noise.

It’s a large well maintained site and when we were there the toilet blocks we’re immaculate.

However, the number of showers did not seem to equate to the size of the site and I would imagine in summer there would be pressure on these facilities.

This is an expensive site at £45 per night in October each night for two adults. At this price I would expect functional Wi-fi (not fit for purpose in my view as we could never connect) and a drive over waste water facility for campers and motor homes. Fortunately I had prepared for this eventuality.

Finally the bins are positioned at the main gate which is a considerable distance from some of the pitches and in my view could and should be remedied.
