Please note this site no longer offers pitches for touring caravan or motorhomes or tents. It does have a limited number of seasonal pitches. If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

We had a very enjoyable stay. We liked the area.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The fishing was fantastic.
The grounds were really well kept.
It is going to be spectacular when the redevelopment is completed.

Not too sure what to say about this site. The positives: friendly helpful managers, hot showers included, hot water for washing up, level mown grass pitches, great rural location, close to many places of interest.
The not so positive: groundwork being done - noisy machinery digging and scraping all day long (arrived on site at 07:30 and carried on until about 6pm). I found it intrusive but others didn't. Depends on how peaceful you need it to be. It's all change there so make sure you ask what stage they're at.
For info: The shower block - one shower and one toilet for males and one for females, plus a disabled one. No hairdryer and no mirror in the ladies. One sink (indoors) for utilities. All basic. Might not be enough when the site is full?
The worst thing for me was that the lovely shaded walks around the fishing lakes are a no go area for dogs, even on the lead. The site is very open with very little shade so in the 29° heat it was a challenge with a dog. When the weather is closer to normal temperatures it would be easier to manage with a dog.
If you're into fishing, and not looking for an up market site, I imagine you'd be in heaven. Stunning lakes. Pity I didn't get to walk round them.
Oh and if you have a dog please keep it on a lead, don't let it wee up someone's awning (yes I witnessed that!) and watch out for the rat catchers 2 black and white working Jack Russells, if they visit. Not on lead (site rules for everyone?) out of control and definitely not friendly to other dogs.

We had a lovely stay at Spring Lea. My son enjoyed the fishinging. Great for carp fishing.
Owners very friendly and kept the site spotlessly clean.
At the moment building work is going on but it never bothered us.

Very nice site. Freindly/helpful staff.
Will return for another break.
Few problems with electric but nothing which would discourage a return visit.

Spring Lea Fishery is an excellent campsite and we always feel welcome.
We visited with our grand daughter previously and this time with our grandson. Each time we felt so welcome and enjoyed the facilities.

Great site for fishing but we found on the Friday we arrived the machinery being used to update the site was very noisy, but the workers did finish at a reasonable time. I think whilst work is being carried out on site the price should be looked at per night, a bit expensive considering I'm sure once work has finally finished on the site it will be lovely

Spring Lea Fishery is an excellent campsite.
The managers were very friendly and we will definitely be returning!
It rained most of the time we were there but this did not spoil our enjoyment of the site.

Love this site, nice flat grass pitches Good size, good ehu, lovely walk around the fishing pools Although if there’s a match on some walks are limited,
Little cafe on site doing a full English for £4. 50, and other very reasonable price snacks, it’s a very chilled out site and Brian the owner is very helpful,
We have just done 2 nights and booked 2 for next weekend as well, And another 4 in October,
There is a shower and toilet open but prefer to use our own facilities during this covid pandemic, but there is sanitising stuff in the loos and showers for you to use, Elsan point and water available, well behaved dogs welcome too, ,
Bus stop into Shrewsbury at the end of the road about 10 minute walk, and a shopping retail park about 15 minutes drive
