We stayed here two years ago with a trailer tent and we were very keen to go back. Real family holiday site about it.
Some fantastic walks along the coast adjacent to the site with spectacular views over the Forth estuary.
There was a take away, shop, restaurant and bar with live entertainment, all of which allowed us to take in our Jack Russell dog.
Very helpful and friendly welcome.
Pitches were decent size and toilets etc were very clean. There are some lovely fishing villages to visit in the area and St Andrews is only a short drive up the coast.
Cost was comparable with most sites we have visited recently but this had them beat for facilities and location.
We will definitely be back and hope to make it an annual trip.

Back once again to shell bay, even though we had constant rain the pitches here do not suffer from water build up flooding issues, staff helpful and polite as usual.
Hookup is only 10amp so be aware of your electrical appliances.
Situated right next to the beach and a small nature reserve so great for walks.
Can be windy so ensure your awning is secured correctly.

Lovely site and good location for coastal walks to Elie and Lower Largo.
Toilet facilities were nice but felt it was left up to the people who used them to clean them and this didn’t always happen.
We were there Monday to Thursday and the shop closed at 3pm on Monday and wasn’t opening again until Friday.
Nowhere close by to get any groceries if you weren’t prepared.
Restaurant and cafe were reasonably priced and the food and staff were lovely.

Great site for walking, cycling and watersports. Bar, cafe & restaurant and arcade games on site are all reasonably priced.
Shower block & toilets are clean and in good condition.
Due to location ensure your awning/tent is well secured as it can sometimes be windy.
Negatives : shop opening times vary.
Hook up is only 10amp so be careful when the temperature drops heater & kettle can trip the electrics.
Overall a very well kept site with decent facilities.

Lovely position, very near the beach. Well organized site. Shame it was a contactless check-in.
Made it rather impersonal. The shower cubicles were very large.
Lovely at this time of year but I imagine in the summer with more people there would probably be queues.

Just spent two nights at this wee gem of a site and it was superb.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, dogs welcome throughout the site including the bar and restaurant areas.
Stunning views and walks along the Fife coast and a short drive to some beautiful small fishing villages.
Facilities were clean and well kept. Pitches had plenty room.
We will return next year for sure.

If you love the sea with a bit of adventure thrown in - this campsite is for you!
We had a wonderful stay, plenty of facilities, and places to eat and drink on site, with the added bonus of the Fife coastal walk and the chain walk on the doorstep !
Easy self check in and friendly staff.
We will return!

Clean and well maintained.
Ruined by so many dogs and noisy neighbours.
Despite asking asking the warden to speak to the neighbours the noise did not change.
