Immaculately clean, well thought out & run site, in a stunning location.
Rhuaridh, Hazel & Sam create a lovely atmosphere with their genuine care for each of their visitors. They are generous with their time and a lifetimes wealth of local knowledge of Sheildaig.
It’s clearly a well loved site with many returning visitors.
Excellent spot to walk cycle, swim and kayak from & explore Torridon and the Applecross Loop.

Excellent facilities extremely clean, and very well organised.
Even had a grocery van on site on a Monday.
Outstanding views, peace and tranquillity. Even a white tail eagle in residence on the island.
We will be back - stunning place

Quite simply we were blown away with this camp site. The views and location are outstanding. They are only surpassed by the level of service provided by Ruriadh and the team.
Pitches are gravelled and level the facilities are top notch and immaculate.
We were spoilt with things to do in the area, be that walking, cycling, kayaking or simply taking in the majesty of the mountains and lochs
I would unreservedly recommend the site

Great site, great location and we are booked again to go back. If I did have one small criticism is that when the site is full. As it did feel a bit cramped and felt fairly close to the row in front.
Like all sites there are good and bad pitches. Although here there were none really bad, the front row do have the best views, you could sit on your chairs outside and still see the wonderful sea views, but further back pitches don’t benefit from this, if you are the type to sit out all day and watch the world go by.
The site seems to slope slightly towards the rear but the pitches are level and well maintained. I felt the front pitches higher up than the rear, hence the restricted views if you are sitting outside your van.
The surrounding views are of mountains, quite stunning.
Site is very very clean and well catered for in terms of sanitisers and reducing the amount of folk in facilities block at any one time. Sadly from where we were. Very few people were compliant with face coverings o4 sanitising. No fault at all of site owners.
Good motorhome service point. Liked the fact fresh water could be accessed directly from pitch. Take a sizeable hose. Big plus point for us to access tap near by without driving to a fill up point.
It’s a quiet site at night, very dog friendly with good walks for all abilities near by.
It looks fairly formal on arrival but it’s not really. Very chillaxing. It’s a perfect size really, space I think for only about 20 vans? As already mentioned by others, tent area to the rear. Pitches were pre allocated before arrival so you knew exactly where you are going. None of this ‘ grab a pitch’ you get on some of the bigger club sites.
Looking forward to returning

We had the pleasure of staying on this campsite as part of our 7 night NC500 trip and whilst all of our sites were very good - this site was by far the best we stayed at.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner who was both extremely friendly and informative. Nothing was too much trouble for him and the site front views over Shieldaig island are exceptional.
The bathroom facilities were absolutely immaculate and could not be faulted in any way whatsover.
A quiet, family operated site which is an absolute gem and is one that every NC500 visitor should book in.
We will be back !

Plenty of fantastic views over Loch Torridon from the campsite, mostly set up with hard standings for campervans. The grass tent area is at the rear of the site striking a balance between views and shelter.
Useful picnic benches around and electric for those that need it. Plenty of planting of hedge rows in progress which will improve the appearance and shelter of the tent camping area over time.
On the dreaded NC500 route so a daily turnover of camper vans as they attempt to tick off Shieldaig in one afternoon. You can't. Sadly, this does mean the site lacks atmosphere and the chance to get to know fellow campers.
The owners, Rory and Hazel, are the best and cannot do enough for their guests.
The whole site is immaculate, very relaxing and peaceful overnight and the toilet/wash/shower/washing up/laundry facilities are spotless. A freezer for the use of those of us staying longer than a single night would have made the site perfect!
Pub, café, small shop, smokery and local produce in Shieldaig (a 5 minute walk). A butchers van called at the site too! Saw the white tailed sea eagles on the island and explored the nearby peninsula. Upper Loch Torridon and mountains nearby.
Tent, no electric two people £22 per night.
Great campsite, requires some extras for campers and was told that a freezer and sheltered cooking area are planned. For us, let down by being on the NC500 route but this is how the site, and Shieldaig, survives.
Really enjoyed it. Thanks

Great new small campsite in fabulous location.
Postcard views in busy but relaxed small site ( 20+ pitches)
The most welcoming owners one could expect, pleasant attentive and helpful.
All hardstanding plus a few tent pitches.
Ultra clean modern facilities block ( 2 showers per gender) with dishwashing and laundry area.
Delightful village with smokery, pub, cafe and general store.
Walk on nearby peninsula a nice medium length on good surface- more breathtaking views.
Cycling to Torridon part off road excellent.
Boarding and kayaking to Sheidaig Island popular ( rentals available at jetty)
Roads not as hellish as expected.
Pitches of average size but level with EHUs with water.
Motorhome drive over area with chemical waste, dog and bike wash.
Good recycling.
One lovely glamping pod but luxury ones due next year.
Will return- guaranteed

This campsite is excellent for its position and facilities and good views. The sunset viewed from the campsite is breathtaking.
The site owners were friendly and very accommodating for different requests such as chilling freezer blocks and charging mobiles etc.
The "extra" facilities for tent campers as mentioned above are coming for next season including a campers kitchen which will make the site perfect.
Local facilities include a good pub ans small shop and fantastic walking opportunities around the Torridon area.
