Location is excellent for Eastbourne and Sovereign Harbour with an ASDA in between, a good cycle run but also bus stops right outside. Lovely half hour walk across the fields to Pevensey castle from the site.
We thought the site was a bit 'rough and ready', toilet facilities we good and kept nice and clean. Couldn't see why the gate was closed all the time as was quite heavy to lift in place.
In comparison to other C&CC Listed Sites we have been to, thought the £25 charge was a bit steep, £20 more realistic.

We love this lovely little site! Good roomy pitches and a warm welcome. Great location just across from the beach.
Toilets are pretty dated but somehow add to the charm of this unspoilt site, they are always clean too!
Very basic site, no shop, no entertainment etc, just how we like it!

This is the perfect campsite. We have used it for over 20 years and this site has given us many wonderful holidays and memories.
It is what camping should be blissfully quiet and beautiful - the family who run it go out of their way to be as welcoming and helpful as they can - don't ever change Cannon.
Perfect just the way you are.
Don't take any notice of those who want laid on facilities who actually don't want to or understand camping at all.

Stayed for 2 nights. Very disappointed with the site, there were approximately 10 other campers and numerous empty caravan around the edge of the field.
The toilets and showers are dated and to be honest weren't very clean.
The welcome we received was lukewarm and we never saw the owner again. £50 for 2 nights for the facilities available is too much.
We initially set up and after 10 mins the electric went so we moved pitch and the elctric went again. We found out later that they were working on the electrics - no-one advised us!
On a positive though the site is very well placed for Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne, Beachy Head and Bexhill so once we were off site we had a very good couple of days away.
We had an excellent Thai meal in Waterside in Sovereign Harbour-would highly recommend this

Good site, quiet, friendly, spacious area with nice grass. You can select your pitch, bins are situated near by.
The toilets & shower block is old fashioned, but very clean and quite adequate.
Beach is very near you can walk to the harbour.
Would definitely book this site again.

Me and my wife and daughter stayed there for a month from july to august
Cannon campsite is by far one of the best campsites in pevensey
Easy access to shops on a slow walk. The village only 15-20 mins on a slow walk
The actual campsite itself was amazing
The staff were brilliant, the lady was brilliant, tom was also very good, polite and approachable everytime we wanted something from the shop
I would highly recommend cannon campsite
The toilets and showers were 10+ every day
I will be going back in 2020
Thankyou for everything you all done for us

At £20 pn this was a bit more than we have paid for slightly better facilities elsewhere.
Having said that the facilities while very basic are usable and the site very quiet, easy to locate & approach & well placed for local sight seeing.
£18 would have been more realistic. The multiple bunnies & fox were entertaining.
