Very pretty site overlooking the sea next to airport but is is small only saw a couple of planes a day (but did see air sea rescue helicopter come in to refuel I was walking passed the airport on beach at time awesome).
The staff were friendly and helpful, the toilet block clean warm and plenty of basins and showers with plenty of hot water. You can walk to a pub on the beach and by the side of airport but it was a long way for us OAPs
There is a bus out side into Oban and we went in to town and took a ferry over to Mull nice trip, but when you land you really need a car or catch a bus to see the island.
On the harbour they were selling fresh sea food and hot langoustine in garlic butter heaven.
There is a shop on site that sells all you need including papers and the soft morning rolls ( I got addicted to them). I have got to say to all the staff that helped us out when our canopy took off and damaged the motor home and my husbands leg. A big thank you for every thing you did his leg is still on going healing a slow process but your help with dressings was very much appreciated. We will be back.

This large site is split into 3 areas - we were placed on site 3, a stunning location next to the beach and very handy for the dog walk. This is the quietest end of the site and nearest to Benderloch (10 minute walk).
The village has a good local shop, coffee shop, caravan spares shop, post office and fuel. Also access to woodland walks with lovely views.
Site facilities a little dated but clean. If you do not intend to move your van, it can be a long walk from parts of the site to toilet block and toilet emptying points.
Good shop on site, though some of the staff can appear uninterested. Pitches are allocated and there are hardstandings and electric.
Good bus service from site (bus stop outside site entrance) into Oban

This is large site, with over 200 pitches, we arrived and where taken to our pitch by the warden, the view was great, nothing in front of us, and quite close to the toilet block, if you are put at the either end its a long way to the toilet and shower blocks. There are 2 toilet block, one we didn't use so I cannot comment, the showers were clean, 8 showers so if the place was full I would expect a wait, the water was only luke warm on four of the mornings, which was not good. The site itself is kept very clean, and has good dog walks, either on the beach, or the disused railway which runs through the middle of the site. The site is right next to the Airport, which we thought would be a noise factor but its only used by light aircraft, well 1 that we saw, so that wasn't a problem.
Oban 8 mile away is a good shopping center with a number of supermarkets.
Would we go back not to this site too big, rows and rows of caravans, not for us, but it was a good base to go other places.

What a lovely site! Perfectly situated looking over the beach with fantastic views to Mull etc. Pitches are massive and very cleverly spaced to allow sea views from every pitch. It is big and we found we used our bikes to get around the site.
Bus stop just outside the site to get a bus into Oban. Reasonable pub a 5 minute bike ride away on the road back into Oban towards the bridge - would probably be a 20 min walk. We eat in another pub a bit further on at the foot of the bridge - very nice.
Went on a lovely walk around Kerrer Island (probably the wrong spelling!)which took about 3 hours. Apparently there is a great chippy in the next village in the opposite direction to the pubs.
We only stayed 2 nights but I can see how you could easily stay for longer and have a good old fashioned beach holiday.
All told, all you would expect from a Caravan Club site, clean, efficient, well organised and a pleasant welcome. A nice base to vist Oban and its surrounding area's - but finally, don't ignore the midges on a lovely evening sitting looking at the sunset with a beer - they bite!

We LOVE this place and go every summer for three weeks (wish it was three months). Our kids were between 2 and 7 when we first went and are now between 11 and 16, and they have all always really enjoyed their holidays. The first time we went, we set up in drizzly rain, fed the kids, closed the curtains for the evening and were astonished in the morning to see that the Isle of Mull had appeared overnight - it comes and goes with the weather!
If your idea of the perfect caravan site involves a bar and evening entertainment this isn't for you (there is a shop, toilets, showers and a laundry) but if you like beautiful views from the caravan (the sunsets are beyond description), coastal path walking (walk a couple of miles and you get to a pub), paddling in the sea (we've graduated to an inflatable kayak and wetsuits but started with paddling), and dog walking along the long (stony) beach, then you'll love this. When the tide is in, the sea gets deep quite quickly, but when the tide is out, it is shallow for a long way, so is great for kids to play in.
It's beautifully kept, with double hard standings on most pitches and plenty of room between outfits. You have to have a caravan, a motor home or a trailer tent, though, as tents aren't allowed except as pup tents alongside your outfit.
Half of the caravan site is Caravan Club but not all of it so you don't need to be a member. There are seasonal pitches available.
It can be on the breezy side if the wind gets up as there is no shelter, so awnings benefit from storm ties, unless you want to lie awake all night worrying!
If you're a pensioner with a free bus pass, you can get on the bus to Oban from a stop right outside the site. Likewise if you're in a big huge motorhome that you don't fancy negotiating the narrow streets and small car parks of Oban in.
Days out to Ben Nevis, Glencoe, the islands such as Mull, Iona and Staffa, are all brilliant things to do.
There are midges, like anywhere in Scotland, but they are much less of an issue than in many other places.
When it's sunny there can be no better place in the world. Unfortunately it is - shock horror - not always sunny!

This is one of the biggest sites we have visited, but the pitches were well spaced out so you didn't feel hemmed in. Toilets & showers were excellent, clean & tidy with lots of hot water.
Great dog walk in the centre of the site-the disused railway line.
We loved the fact that each pitch had a sea view-absolutely magnificent!:)
It's just a fw minutes drive into Oban where you'll find all the shops you need. Try the 3 Isles Tour -Mull /Iona /Staffa, expensive, but well worth it especially as our 2 dogs were allowed to come too!

Stayed here 4 nights and loved it even though the weather wasn't great. View from the pitch across to the islands is amazing, unfortunately we didn't see any of the sunsets due to the poor weather but did see lots of rainbows.
Friendly staff on arrival and Tony who showed us to our pitch was really helpful pointing out the facilities and little tips to avoid the full force of the wind on the caravan!
We had been given a pitch near to the toilet block as my husband has walking difficulties and I had read on previous reviews that it can be quite a walk! We found the facilities to be really good and used the laundry which was very efficient.
The wardens regularly drove around the site which was well looked after. TV reception was good and mobile worked fine on the site but lost the signal close by.
The shop in reception was good although they didn't have much fresh veg or meats, we bought fish from Loch Fyne on one journey and meat from the butcher in Oban.
We visited Fort William and went up the cable car at the Nevis range. Also visited Inverary and Oban. T
his is a lovely site and will try and return with hopefully better weather!

Third stay at this site, have to say we were disappointed with the falling standards.
Checking in was a very abrupt, not so friendly experience, so please if you are Caravan Club members do not forget your card
For a site of this size, the showers and toilets could do to be cleaned more often, no hand sanitizers refilled, no toilet paper at times, lights&door catches were broken, general tidiness was lacking. We got the feeling that standards have slipped and it did feel a bit soul-less.
We will stick to smaller sites in future and enjoy more personal attention.

Excellent site! One of the greatest Caravan Club Sites I've been on so far!
Staff we're ever so friendly and extremely helpful! Specially for dog owners. They put us in the right direction for a descent non Midgey walk (Port Appins)
The shop was lovely, shelves always full. Lovely fresh rolls!
Facilities, were ok. Showers weren't brilliant but they were free and clean, which is the main thing!
Toilets & sinks were clean and topped up with toilet roll & soap daily.
The site was really well presented, the gardeners have done a lovely job with presentation.
Pitches were nice and spacious, which is good for the health & safety point of view. Most pitches I believe were gravel.
The scenery is fantastic, islands on one side, Oban harbour on the other, Open sea in front & mountain behind. Talk about many different terrains! Beach is mainly stones & shells, with lots of seedweed & a few dead birds but that's nature (The dogs loved it!)
If we come back to Scotland, we will visit here again!

Ive just arrived back from this site. Its lovely and the situation - right on the beach is great. The toilets clean and showers hot. We didn't get to enjoy this site as I would have liked due to the awful weather but I intend to go back when we seem to get our summer - in April or May. The staff were very friendly and the guy who showed us to our pitch helped because this was the first time Id towed on my own and was unable to reverse. He was also very good telling us where everything was, where to go for supplies, what time the toilets would be shut for cleaning and where to go at those times and other essential bits of information.
Would also like to thank the kind gentleman who assisted getting my tow bar sorted when the jockey wheel came off its thread and I was stuck trying to hook the camper to the car.
