Recently visited this site. Ended up here through default as we didn't book and the other sites in the area were full. Although it turned out fine as we were very happy with this site.
There was one main area where you could pitch the tent which was quite large, or some more secluded pitches among the pine trees where we pitched as we have very young children and wanted peace. The site was busy with lots of tents but quite.
The toilet/shower facilities were very good and spotlessly clean. There was also some portaloos beside the main camping area, and these were also very clean.
The playpark was all very new looking which kept our daughter amused. A very good site!

We had an enjoyable 1 night stay. The campsite is very spacious, with many pitches having a large secluded area to themselves. We arrived early and got 1 of these as the site was busy, but even then the tents in the more communal area were still spaced out and there was room for the children to play football. The playpark is now usable and my son had fun there.
The showers were pleasantly hot when I used them and it was the quietest night I've had at a campsite for a long time.
A water point near the campsite would be handy though rather than having to carry water up the slope from near the showers.

Just back from a week long stay at Dalraddy with mixed feelings about the site. On arrival, the woman at reception took our payment then told us there was no TV reception and the playpark had been demolished which was a bit of a con as several websites state there is a park onsite. My kids were extremely let down by this.
We were located next to the demolished park where there was a digger working on drainage - not exactly p and q !
The shower block is new but the showers are totally erratic ! My kids refused to shower as the water was so cold on occasions. However, in the gents, a scalding was the norm as the water was far too hot to even stand under. Perhaps the work being done around a new boiler room will rectify this problem.
There is a new playpark being installed onsite which should be ready for the summer and if they get the shower problem fixed, then Dalraddy would be a park I would visit again.
The walks around the park are the best I've seen in a while and my dog enjoyed his leg stretch over Alvie Moor each morning and evening. The estate is very walker friendly and there are many way-marked trails to the south of the park.
All in all Dalraddy is a potentially superb park in the making but is still falling short of what is required to make that status.

This site, although quiet at the time of our visit, was clean and tidy. We were impressed with the toilet / shower block. Nice hot water and soap dispensers were plentiful. Dish washing facilities were under cover which saved getting soaked in the rain.
Only downfall to this site is the proximity to neighbouring units, this was a mix of static, touring and seasonal pitches. Directional signage would also be an advantage, as we had to let others know where refuse and chemical waste disposal were to be found - it took us a while to find them all.
Plenty of walks around the area, also countryside activities eg. Fishing, birdwatching, canoeing. A shop is on site, although I did not use this but preferred to go into Aviemore to the Tesco Supermarket.
All in all, we are not sure if we would visit this site again due to the proximity to neighbouring units.

Good wee site.
We leave the caravan here over the winter months allowing us to go and ski during the winter.
The Site has mixed tourers and statics - which I don't find a problem as it is generally quite during the winter.
The toilet block is good and clean, but a little dated. The Blocks are going through a major refit - which should be ready for summer 2008.
The Pitches are a good size. There are plenty of Water points around. There is a good playground for the kids.
The site is about 4 miles south of Aviemore - close enough for a shopping run.
Staff are friendly and helpful.

Although the site is in beautiful surroundings I was put alongside the statics which were mostly unoccupied which I found a bit dispiriting. Where the tents were pitched they had a magnificent panorama over the Cairngorms but were quite a walk from the toilet block. Overall the site looked a bit run down and could do with a spruce up.

We stayed overnight on our way up to Ullapool. The site was quiet and beautifully landscaped; with picnic benches available. The welcome was friendly; upon enquiring whether there were any newspapers for sale (it was after 5pm when we arrived), the women in the shop offered me her own magazine! Plenty of toilets and showers. I would definitely visit again.
