My wife, daughter and I have recently come back from a five day stay at this site. What can I say but 'roll on' my next visit. The owners did not hide anything in their advert. Yes the toilet and shower facilities were a bit dated, but this is a campsite, not the Savoy. Sometimes the problems are the fault of the clients not the owners. No loo roll. Because people were pinching them. No hot water. Because people left the taps running. Dirty washing up area. No servant to clean up after the last person used it. I don't think I need to go on. My family along with my brother-in-law and his tribe could not fault the site ( he has already been back ) and will definitely return at the first chance. Our thanks to Lorna and her staff.

Stayed for 1 week camping.
Pleasant and friendly staff who are happy to talk and give advise on where to visit, Shop is Open until the evening and had good basic Food and camping accessories, There is also a games room and and snack Bar which opens weekends,
The Adult camping Area is around the lake and looked well kept and a pleasant spot to be in, This area seems to be mainly for caravans and motorhomes with electric hook up.
We were pitched in general camping between the children's play area/ football pitch and another family camping area, I feel it would be better if the family camping was next to the children area so the children did not have to keep going through general camping and parents could keep an eye on there children,
We looked at the reviews before we booked this site so were aware that the shower/toilets were dated and yes they are dated and rather cramped with some of the showers not working properly, The washing up sinks often had cold water in busy periods.
Campsite is located in a good position with easy road access to anywhere, There is a gate at the end of the campsite that takes you into the new forest for walking/cycling and exploring, also great for Blackberry picking.
There is lots to see and do in the new forest and every one we spoke to was very friendly and made is feel very welcome.
There are a couple of pubs within 20-30min walk to the main road. Also a pub and restaurant in Nomansland which is not to far to walk.
Overall we enjoyed are stay at GreenHill and think if the new owners were to give a little thought to the overall layout of the site and if planning is given for a new toilet/shower block the site will have the makings of a lovely campsite.
Would be nice to stay at the campsite again in the future to see how it has developed.

We had a few days here and we loved it. The toilets and showers are old but very clean and , they are updating at the moment so will be even better. The site was pretty we stayed in the top lake which was for adults only and it was very peaceful and lovely to sit outside with your drinks and relax. There's plenty of hot water for washing yourself and sinks for washing up your dishes.
The site is just a very short drive to the new forest and there is a lovely walk from the site itself. The shop has thought of everything food wise and any thing you've forgotten ie tent pegs, touches, washing lines fishing gear etc etc your will probably find it there. There is also a Morrisons about 10 minutes up the road, which also serve nice food in the cafe. We will 100% be going back there. The rates are very reasonable too. £12.00 per night with electric hook up. The young man in reception was very friendly and very helpful.

Spent a week here with my husband, 14 year old daughter and her friend, staying in the 1st week of the school Summer holidays (though local kids were still at school so it was quieter than we expected). My sister and her young family camped next to us in the family field and my brother, wife and their 3 dogs hooked up their caravan in the very pretty adult only area by the lakes. We paid £15 per night for the 4 of us which was much cheaper than many of the campsites in the area.
We liked the place very much as it was relaxed and we could camp anywhere within the family field. There are no pitches marked out. The new owners are very friendly. My sister's children enjoyed the new play area and our 2 teenagers appreciated the games room with the pool tables. It only opened on our 2nd night so I think they might have been the very first to use it. The toilets and showers are in need of updating which we knew when we booked. However, the showers were very hot whenever we showered - what was lacking was benches to sit down on and hooks to hang clothes up and the space in the shower cubicle was a bit too small to get comfortably changed in unless perhaps you are a size zero!
There are only two sinks for washing up though we actually didn't have to queue for more than 5 minutes at any time and most of the time (outside of the weekend) the sinks were free.
The campsite is on the edge of the New Forest and you only have a 50 metre walk from the family field to the gate at the bottom of the path and you are faced with meadow land and forest over the brow of the hill. It was beautiful.
Although we did get some sunshine, we also had a lot of rain and overcast weather and can recommend The Ship Inn Quiz night on a rainy Tuesday night! The camping field near the fenced in lake can get very soggy in wet weather and the family field where we were (on top of the ridge) can be quite windy. One tent in the field with us did not survive one stormy day!
We also liked Brockenhurst, Salisbury and Lymington. On our last night we had a very nice meal out at the pub which is on the road leading off the Canada roundabout (near the Spar shop). The landlady accommodated 10 of us without any fuss on a Friday evening (even though we hadn't booked)and the food was very good (especially the fish dishes) and reasonably priced though there wasn't a great choice for the 2 vegetarians in the party. The Spar shop had a good selection of food and drink for a small shop, including a good fresh meat counter.
Would love to go back again especially once the toilets and showers have been updated, and there is so much to see and do in the local area.

What a lovely site adults pitches were beside the lake. Ok the toilets are basic but they state that on there web site but they are very clean and were cleaned 4/5 times daily and the water was very hot in the showers. They have a lovely area for families with some lovely facilities. By the time they have finished its going to be lovely we booked to go again at the end of august and they were very accommodating allowing us to pick which pitch we wanted. Give them a try the deserve some support.

As stated before toilet blocks are basic but we had no problems with them the site is well managed with security going around at night everyone we spoke to always had time to talk with a smile makes a change. The area is fantastic for the forest and also the south coast. The only down side was people were allowed to enter the site in there cars at anytime of night was woken on our last night at 2am so stop the traffic and you have an excellent site.

Stayed in July, the site was clean, the toilets and shower are old but clean these are being replaced next year. When we were there the finishing touches were being done to a games room. The play area is good and fenced in for toddlers, the bacon sarnies they do in the morning are lovely but the chips the night before were not nice. Might just be a one off with old oil.
If camping be warned this is popular with groups of young people camping we were in the family area so this wasn't a problem. My husband likes to fish but gave up as not many fish in the lake and none at all in the family lake although there was a huge flock of geese, the owners say they are going to restock soon and hopefully fill it up as it was very shallow.
Both lakes are fenced of so it is safe for little ones to run around, and for wildlife lovers we had bats flying round and foxes at night.
We will defo be going back as it was a nice site and very friendly the new owners are trying to update as quick as poss but as with everything it takes time.

Just got back from 2 nights at Greenhill Farm. Stayed in the family field, which is obviously a new area for them as previously it was an adult only site. Having said this either side of the family field you have gated access to the adult site which is near the lake and this looked more established and very pretty. I feel sure that given time the family area will look just as good.
As mentioned before the toilets and shower block are extremely basic, being a portacabin style, and glad to hear that the new owners are looking to update these, as they had an unpleasant smell the whole time of our stay. There were two toilet blocks but one is only open on Friday Saturday and Sunday. Having said this I found the showers to be ok, and didn't experience any cold water issues as mentioned before so hopefully this has been resolved.
There was a small shop in reception which appeared to be open fairly long hours, and the owners had a 'Burger Van' on the family site which sold your typical fast food in the morning and in the evening.
The play park was obviously new and was adjacent to the family area so you could easily keep an eye on your child. It had various swings and climbing apparatus and catered for a wide range of age. There was also plenty of grass above the play area for children to play ball games etc. My daughter loved the site. The new owners were also in the process of building a games room to cater for 'older children' and this should be ready for the summer.
Locally we visited the Shoe Inn pub which was recommended by the wardens, it was very pleasant and the food was good.
All in all a good site and will definitely visit again to see the improvements the new owners have made.

We stayed at this campsite for 4 nights during the end of May. We had read previous reviews about this site and were aware that the facilities were a bit dated. That is true but to be honest it was bearable, although the hot water was a big issue - either there wasn't any or it was so hot you couldn't use it safely. There were 3 showers in one block and one in another, these were adequate, some worked better than others. I found that the water again was too hot and there was not enough pressure. The site itself was lovely, right on the edge of the New Forest. We were in the family enclosure with electric hookup. There are no markings around pitches which was a problem the busier the site got, not always possible to park car next to tent. The shop / reception was ok although only open a few hours a day. A new play park has been added which appeared popular with children of all ages.
We went to the Langford Poacher after reading a review about it on this site and were very disappointed with the whole experience. It took over 40 mins for us to get our food and it wasn't really worth the wait. Found to be a bit pricey for the portion size.
Visited Salisbury which is only about 20 mins away which has a wide variety of shops. There is a BP garage close by and a Spar and Tesco within a 5 mins drive.
The owners of this site have said that they are going to update the showers and toilet block next year. We would definitely revisit this site once these improvements have been completed.

Just come back from a lovely week here. Weather was amazing! We were in the electric field, very busy over the bank hol weekend but most people left monday. The adult only side was really pretty with 2 lakes, I was under the impression from the website that this is what the site would look like but it wasn't. We did not use the facilities as we use our loo and shower in our caravan, thankfully as the portacabins did not look very nice! Lovely walks, owls hooting and geese squawking, deer leaping. Kids loved making friends at the park. We actually stayed an extra night and were going to stay another night but 2 noisy families pitched next to us and I just could not bear to listen to their tinny radio any longer! Highlight also was a hippy guy opposite doing yoga man! Great! Romsey 10-15min drive away and Salisbury 10 miles away. Pretty area. Will go again. New owners apparently - definitely needs prettying up in areas. The hard standing pitches looked awful, looked like mud-coloured rock!
