Arrived Friday evening and were soon set up! Lovely site with lots of great faciltiies. We were so lucky with the weather and managed 3 days sitting by the pool! Kids went fishing, played tennis and generally had a fab time. Well kept site at a reasonable price - we will be back!

An excellent site, both the big site and smaller caravan club field. Nigel and Angela the owners have worked hard over the past few years to make the sites as good as they are and nothing is too much trouble. We have been visiting the small site for a number of years and hope to continue to do so. There are several pubs selling good food and lots of attractions to suit every taste within a short drive. Certainly one to try.

Fantastic site, really easy to get to from either the A41 or the A534. Lovely quiet location in the middle of the countryside, Great facilities, even a lovely outdoor pool. Barrier control in and out. The owner really cares about the site, and asked us on the way out whether we'd had a good time, top class customer care! Level hard-standing or grass electric 16A pitches. Pub within walking distance (although open only for drinks currently and then closing until Nov for refurbishment).

Very clean, well cared for site. Kids are allowed to ride bikes and skate but not on the tennis court or car park (obviously!). However, the site isn't circular so you have to turn round - all up and down - bad news if you want a bit of peace I suppose!
Facilities first class - we have been on loads of sites and these were some of the best. The pub is at the moment doing a restricted menu which is still fine and they give smaller portions to the kids - which are almost as big as the adult ones! The outdoor pool looks good - it's not far from where we live so we will probably go back at a hot weekend! Have a look at their website.

We would highly recommend Manor Wood Country Caravan Park. This is a new site developed over the last year on a farm about 10 miles from Chester. It is in the middle of lovely countryside with views to the Welsh hills. It is just off the main road and so easily accessible.
The friendly owners Nigel and Angela Dutton who are very helpful and obliging have developed the site with 2 fishng lakes, outdoor swimming pool, children’s play area and tennis court. There are a number of country walks from the site.
Originally they just had a Caravan Club CL site behind their farmhouse and this is, also, a lovely place to stay. We store our caravan in their storage area and stay on the both sites on a regular basis.
There are local shops about 3 miles away in the twin towns of Holt and Farndon and supermarkets and a wide range of shops in Wrexham, about 10 miles away. Thre is a local pub, "The Cock", which serves food about 20 minutes walk from the site.
There are lots of places in nearby in Cheshire to visit including Beeston Castle, Chester, etc. North Wales is, also, easily accessible with Wrexham and Llangollen easy drives.
Please feel free to mention our names.
