We stayed here for a few days in June and despite the wet and windy weather we enjoyed the Cotswolds for the first time. The site is close enough to most places of interest, 1hr to Bath or 45min to Boughton.

Lucy gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our pitch which was between the grass berms. The Electric cards worked a treat and we used about £2 for the trip.

The site has a modern toilet block at the bottom of the field and a small play area which our kids enjoyed and they loved seeing the animals around the farm. The shop has some good meat, locally sourced, and is reasonably priced.

Minchinhampton is a short walk away and for larger shops Nailsworth town is a 5 minute drive. The showers were incredibly hot (too hot for the kids – lovely for us!) and Lucy did turn them down but we didn’t use them again after so could not say if they were any better.

The only improvement I could suggest is that one sink unit is inside the other is outside and not at all sheltered and possibly needs to be. We couldn’t make use of the open fire pits on this occasion…which is a shame as we missed toasting our marshmallows!

We would consider using this as our base again the next time we visit the Cotswolds.

The campsite is lovely. Having booked two nights we cancelled the Friday at the last minute due to bad (very) weather. Lucy was very understanding and we were able to go just for one night.

The Facilities are excellent and with all the rain it was kept very clean.

We did request an area with poppies but when we arrived these were all taken - our fault as we cancelled a night.

The only disappointment was that the site does say no ball games near tents - this was not the case unfortunately.

Would recommend this site.

This is a lovely little site! The owners were lovely and bent over backwards to help you.

The little farm shop is brilliant especially for meat for the BBQ!

We especially liked the little coves laced with poppies that you can put your caravan/tent in.

The shower and toilets are brand new and probably some of the best I've seen.

Cute little play area for children and surrounded by farm animals, not that you heard them!

We only found one down side and that the electric had to be Purchased on cards. Have to admit it wasn't expensive just annoying and didn't like the worried feeling of running out when I have a 4 month baby to think about. There was no option to over ride this. But the owner did bring us cards in the rain bless her! Just a feature I don't like.

If I was asked how the site could be improved I only have 3 suggestions and that is only because I'm being picky!

1) scrap electric cards

2) provide a baby change table in family room, I had to take pushchair in with me as there is no surface to lay my son on.

3) continue the woodchip path from toilets as it got very muddy on entrance to toilets.

Well worth a visit to this site I will defo return if I come to this area again.

The local village is cute with just a 15 min walk in. A lovely area with wild horses and cows that roam. The only take away had questionable food though!

While we were there we went to BirdLand which was brilliant. Well worth a visit even without children!

The Waterpark (collection of lakes) was disappointing, not a place for when it's raining and you would really have know where your going to find a good one for a walk.

Have just spent a lovely week at Tobacconist Farm. A very well appointed site with spotless and warm toilet/shower blocks.

Facilities for campers include a fridge/freezer, washing machine and firepits. Electric hook up was excellent value as you only pay for what you use, for us that was £1.60 for the week!

Lucy was a brilliant 'hostess' and we felt nothing was too much trouble.

Minchinhampton is a very pretty village where we enjoyed a delicious meal at 'Sophies' and a drink in the local pub.

I always judge a camp site by it's bad points as these are factors that can spoil a holiday, and I can honestly say it is difficult to think of any on this site.

The warm welcome from Lucy gets you off to a great start.

The toilet and shower block is the best I have come across on a camp site.

The village of Minchinghampton is a 5 min walk and the village organic dairy shop has some amazing cheeses along with other farm products including great ciders.

A visit to the Waybridge Inn for the 'two in one' pie was not cheap but worth the treat.

The fire baskets add to the camping atmosphere.

The electricity is on a meter, we took a TV, XBox and a fan heater that we had on all the time as we were unlucky enough to be there for three days of rain, and in all we used only £5 of electric.

If I wanted to be super critical regarding the toilet block, a permanent outside light instead of one that comes on when you are close enough for the sensor to work would be better.

I will certainly be returning to this site again.

We have just spent the weekend at tobacconist farm, the weather was great, we would have liked a longer visit.

The right hand side of the field has mounds of stone covered in soil, grass and flowers, these shelter each camping area and give you a sense of privacy.

The field is nice and flat. We got a fire pit and logs off Lucy, at £4 a bag we thought a good price and burnt well.

Toilets, showers and wash up areas were spotless at every visit and there was plenty of hot water.

We walked to the crown pub each evening, it's only five minutes away and also visited the Ragged cot.

We hope to return to this very friendly site soon.

We visted this gem of a campsite over the weekend of 12th. We arrived around lunchtime and were warmly welcomed by Lucy who told us we could pretty much pitch up where we liked, although she pointed out there was some credit left on one of the pitches EHU. There are several 'bay' type areas which looked nice and private. You are literally in the middle of the countryside, we had a horse in a field to one side, cows and on occasions donkeys on the other side and chickens at the top! The facilities are excellent, with a variety of combinations, i. E. Toilet and shower together, just toilet etc. The washing up area is also excellent, and ALL the facilities are spotlessly clean. The village of Minch is delightful, and we ate at the local pub which again was lovely. The general store was well stocked and there was a organic dairy shop, which unfortunately was just shutting. All the other shops were shut, as it was Saturday afternoon, but I'm sure they were fine. From the farm shop on the campsite, I bought eggs, bacon, sausages and beefburgers, all home made or laid, and were delicious. Lucy was a great host and checked on our needs regularly, but without being intrusive. Good cycling, if you don't mind hills! We will certainly be back again!

Just returned from a great couple of days at Tobacconist Farm. It was the first weekend that the site was open to customers and owner Lucy was extremely helpful and friendly.

We selected our own pitch fairly near the entrance to the field for our large 12-man tent and despite the heavy rain and poor weather of the past few weeks the field was well drained and not muddy.

It seems all of the pitches have access to power, on a meter, should you want it and we definitely did as the tent needed some heat in such cold May conditions!

We were a group of 8 adults and 2 dogs and had no problems with queuing for showers etc. The shower and toilet block was lovely and warm and clean, and the showers were hot. In total I think I counted four showers (one a large family one) and a further two toilets and urinals. There's also a good sized washing up area with large fridge freezer and a washing machine.

The gents all took advantage of the free fire baskets one night to indulge in burning a few logs.

The farm itself features a children's play area, chickens, ducks, donkeys, cows and horses (as well as the lovely pet dogs). We found the whole place to be a great location and setting for our group get together.

Minchinhampton is a great village - a decent pub (allows dogs), lovely cafe for tea and cake, a convenience store, a butchers and a chemists all within a five minute walk. It's just minutes off the M5 and a nice drive to either Bath or the Cotswolds. Would also recommend the Weighbridge Inn for their 2 in 1 pie (google it!).

All in all, worth a visit for the other side of the Cotswolds that is a little less busy!

Lovely, quiet camp site with generous sized pitches. We were in a trailer tent and did not require electric hook-up which was available. The shower and toilet facilities were spotless and warm in spite of the cold weather. There is a large fridge/freezer and kettle in the kitchen plus a spacious washing up sink ( with 2 more outside). There was always plenty of hot water. The site is beautifully landscaped, especially the herb garden around the amenities block. There were plenty of animals to observe: hens, cockerels, donkeys, bullocks, horses and 'Bob' the Highland Bull (very docile).
