Used this site for our first proper camping trip as a family, and couldn't be happier. Really friendly when we called for availability, great correspondence prior to visit and incredibly warm and helpful welcome on arrival. The site was easy to find and the slight noise from the M5 was not noticeable or distracting. Did hear the odd plane but not to the site's detriment.
We were shown to our pitch and given lots of information, including wind direction! The facilities were good and exceptionally clean. I visited the toilet/shower block at 10. 30pm to find it spotless after the evening rush. Plenty of hot water, hand wash and loo roll.
There are two fields - the one nearest to the road had caravans and the one further way from the road is bigger and had a mixture. There is a fence around the main field and a 'moat' on the other side which is fenced off. It was not a safety concern for us.
We have a large 8 berth tunnel tent and the size of the pitch was large. We had plenty of room around the tent and between it and our car.
The site was quiet and peaceful. Horses on the neighbouring fields and free range eggs for sale on site. There are some small shops in Banwell itself and a pub and Morrisons a few minutes drive away towards Weston. We visited Weston and Wookey Hole and found the location great.
On route to Weston is an ASDA, Waitrose and a Tesco in the town.
We visited the Court Farm Country Park down the road and found it charming - lamb feeding, cow milking, pony rides and indoor/outdoor play areas. We spent all day there with our 3 children.
To summarise we recommend this site and will add it to the list of places that we would visit again.

What a gem. The facilities are second to none and the welcome a friendly one.
This site is easily located just off Junction 21 of the M5. When we arrived we were given a warm welcome and shown to our pitch which was one of the new ones for this season.
The electric was on a card meter so you only paid for what you used, water and grey waste disposal were on each individual pitch and the toilet and shower block cleaned regularly with the water always hot - what more could you ask for.
The site is in an ideal location for visiting nearby attractions (Weston, Cheddar, Wells etc) but far enough away to be peaceful. No play area for kids but plenty of open spaces to play in and animals to look at.
The local pub serves excellent food with a friendly atmosphere and the village has a couple of local shops selling the basics. Weston is only a 10 minute drive away with all the larger supermarkets and high street stores you could wish for. One to definitely return to.

Stonebridge Farm is one of those well kept campsite secrets. Tucked away on a country lane between Banwell and West Wick it is the perfect place if your idea of camping is relaxing and getting away from it all.
The toilet and shower block is clean, well maintained and always has plenty of loo roll, hand soap and hot water!
We have stayed at Stonebridge Farm twice now and both times have thoroughly enjoyed it! The owners are so friendly and accommodating and they don't have so many of the rules in place that make other campsites so stuffy. It is welcoming, peaceful and relaxed and the perfect place for families to enjoy the best of the Great British Countryside.
Positioned 10 minutes walk from Banwell Village in one direction or a short drive in the opposite direction will take you to supermarkets, retail parks and the seaside resort of Weston-Super-Mare.
This is one place that will definitely see us back time and time again!

We love this campsite! We like it so much we decided to store our caravan here. The owners are friendly, accomodating and very nice. The site itself is lovely, the toilets are clean and the showers are hot.
There are two fields and we have stayed in both, although the site is close to the motorway we could not hear the traffic. There is no playground but children can play in the fields.
The site is nice and quiet and its lovely to watch the farmer feeding the animals on an evening. Its got nice views of banwell and animals in the fields.
The owner always advises us of special offers so we get value for money. Its the perfect place for visiting this area of Somerset. There is also a nice pub called the bucket and spade nearby with a children's soft play area. I would recommend this site.

This is a good site in a great location for Weston Super Mare or Cheddar.
A nice warm welcome and a good sized pitch, the showers are very hot and the block is kept clean at all times. We had a lot of rain whilst staying here and the site coped very well with it.
The children are able to play on the site although there are signs saying no ball games, a lot of families did ignore this which was surprising. My daughter took her bike and was able to ride it around the field.
The farm also sells fresh eggs should you want them.
Recommended.

I booked in as a stop-over on my way down to Cornwall. I spoke with the daughter and informed her I would be leaving home at 5pm and hoping to get there for 8:30pm. I turned up in the dark and managed to arouse the farmer who had been given the message I was turning up at 8:30am - this made me feel a little uncomfortable but no harm was done. I was shown to my pitch by the friendly farmer's wife, I was pointed to the electric hook-up and the water and left to settle in.
I would say the pitch, facilities, toilets etc were all of a very high standard. The only downside was a constant rush of traffic from the Motorway, but this, I found quite soothing.
In the morning, I bought 6 freshly laid hens eggs for £1. 20 and left a happy man.

I would agree with most of the previous reviews - the site was very easy to find, just a few minutes from Junction 21 on the M5. Owners were very friendly and helpful.
We were given a pitch in the second field which had large hedges to separate the pitches which was great. The water tap was right by us, it looked like 1 supply between every two pitches likewise with the electric points and all for just £15. 00 per night for the van and two adults.
The shower block is cleaned regularly and was not at all busy, plenty of showers and hot water.
The village of Banwell is walkable but the first 100 meters or so has no path and the road is busy but once you are past this, its a short walk to the village which has a couple of Spar type shops, post office and a very good Chineese.
Weston is just a couple of miles away and you can find everything there, Tesco, Adsa, Waitrose, Morrissons and Lidl as well as shopping centres with the usual Next outlets, McDonalds etc.
All in all an excellent place to stay although I would warn perents of small children that there is a rather deep beck/moat type of thing running around the fields and you probably would not be able to let them run freely around the site due to this.
In fairness, the owners to warn about this with a notice on the board. They also have a good map showing the location of shops and other points of interest.

Only intended to stay for 2 nights and ended up staying for 5 - only came back because I had an appointment! Looking forward to returning!
Previous reviews are spot on - lovely kind hosts, great clean basic site which has all we needed (clean hot showers and toilet block, 2 washing up sinks, bins for recycling.
Flat mowed site, smallish field, a few ehu on camping field otherwise most are on adjacent field - really handy location midway between cheddar and weston, with Morrisons 3 mins away, & Asda and Waitrose about 6 mins away. No playground facilities but my kids had a great time and made new friends as all the kids played together.
If you are looking for Haven & all the mod cons then this will not suit you but if you like a quiet back to nature campsite you will love this.

Stayed here for 2 nights, Friday & Saturday at the start of August whilst visiting friends nearby and having a weekend at local attractions.
Had emailed the owners a week beforehand and reserved a pitch for our tent with EHU and asked if we could pitch early, so we could go out for the day and return late evening and not have to worry about pitching tent late on, which she replied was fine providing there was a free pitch from the previous night.
When we arrived, we were shown to our pitch, which had a reserved sign placed on it in the front field. The owner asked us if our journey had been good and when I mentioned we planned to go to Wookey Hole for the day, she quickly returned with a leaflet about it, which we felt was a nice touch ! Noticed there was also a small shed at the entrance to the farm selling free range eggs, which is handy
The toilet block was situated in the second field, just behind the dividing line of trees / hedge and had an outside (but covered) area for washing up in the sink. There were also several bins for recycling materials.
Inside the toilet block (mens) there were four toilet cubicles and four shower cubicles. The showers were free and although they did not have any temperature control, they were hot ! Whilst not sounding like a lot of facilities, we never had to wait to use anything. At the time, there were about 10 tourers / tents in the first field and about 5 tents in the back field, if this gives an indication of how busy it was.
The farm is situated right on the edge of Banwell, which you can walk into (although no footpaths along road). With the pitches all around the edge of the first field, there was plenty of room in the centre for children to play on the grass and although we did later notice a sign saying no ball games, there were children playing with a plastic football and my own children played with a small softball and no one complained.
Other children played on their bikes and there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy activities. I did notice a small beck that ran alongside the edge of the field / far, which a child fell into while we were there, so just a caution for those with small children not to let them wander off unaccompanied.
All in all, we found it excellent value for money, very friendly and accommodating owner, ideal location for our needs and would definitely return next year when we are back visiting our friends again !

I visited this site for 2 nights at the end of august/beginning of September. It was just me and my 8 yr old son.
The welcome was very warm, nothing was too much trouble, the staff were very friendly.
The pitch was flat and the field well maintained. The toilet block and washing up facilities were clean and tidy with plenty of bins for rubbish and recycling.
Location of the site was excellent, close enough to Weston super mare, cheddar and wookey hole.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this site or returning there myself personally.
