Stayed at this site for a week beginning of july.
One of the best sites we have visited. Staff were helpful. We were on the non electric which was by the lake lovely views from the tent.
To freeze ice blocks it was 50p. The showers and toilets were spotless. 2 blocks are identical with covered washing up area and a laundry room. The site was quiet by 10. 30pm.
The site is great for visiting north Norfolk 1hour to sandringham. 20minutes to sheringham.
Nearest Supermarket was tesco in Aylsham 10 minutes drive.
Also had a day on the Broads and Norwich which was a lovely city.
Will recommend this site to others. Fantastic.

OK, so we are very late in leaving this review but better late than never!
Super site!
We visited with a 1 and 4 yr old who BOTH were occupied in the play area for hours. We had been given a pitch really close to the park so we could keep an eye and chill ourselves (surprising bonus).
The toilets/showers are the best of any site we have visited. Friendly people and lovely area-our favourite site of any we have stayed.
If it wasn't such a devil to travel too (up the glorious A11) we would be visiting much more often. Hope to be back again. If you can fit us in!

Just come back from a weeks stay at this lovely campsite. We really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are good and kept clean. There was a problem with the shower whilst we were there, but once it was reported to them, they quickly fixed it.
The site itself is a lovely setting, and we liked having the hedges that marked out your pitch when you are on ehu. Some pitches were bigger than others and we had one of the bigger ones, so loads of space for the kids to play.
Only downside is that it was noiser at the weekends, but it wasn't too bad, as most people did stop making noise at 11pm.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here and there's plenty too do in the surrounding area.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Deerglade. This was our first visit to the site and found it to be a very clean, modern well run site.
Our electric pitch was very spacious, and was bordered by a 3 foot high hedge on three sides.
The site was very busy throughout our stay but very peaceful, pre booking is required as this is a very popular site.
The reception building had a small selection on groceries and the staff were very friendly.
There is a small fishing lake on site and this site is ideally located for touring the coast and Broards.

Just returned from a lovely weekend stay at Deers Glade. No photos I have seen of this site do it justice. It is a beautiful site, well laid out with the nicest facilities I have ever come across on a campsite.
We stayed in a tent on the non electric part of the park, and were allowed to pitch where we liked as long as we left 4m from our neighbours.
The toilets and showers were lovely. No push button showers, these had taps, and the hot water never ran out!
The site appeared to be full, or near to it, and there were lots of people around, but the layout of the park means you never feel overcrowded, and although we were near the play area, and there were lots of children around, noise was never a problem.
The fishing lake is lovely to walk around, and the woodland walks really nice.
This is a very family friendly site, and although this time it was just me and my partner, we plan on returning with our chidren. The shop stocks lots of essentials, including suncream which I forgot. The staff are very friendly, and although we didn't need to speak to them during our stay, some others did, and they were very helpful.
This is definitely a site which I want to return to soon. Had a look at the camping pods too, and they are in a lovely wooded area, so we plan on trying one out next summer.

Where do I start? Well, we were greeted and shown to our pitch, and asked if it was ok. It was. We were shown the water taps, toilet blocks, chemical toilet disposal.
The site was spotless. We hired bikes for the day, no need to book and cycled to Holt. I got the impression that if we got into difficulty the wardens would come and get us. We had a lovely chat with them when we made it back!
The shower block has underfloor heating, bliss. The showers, well, there were only two in the block we were using with a polite note asking not to stay too long. You didn't need to stay long, the showers had deluge heads, and taps! No buttons! Hot water, and adjustable. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes as they were so efficient. The washing up area was always clean with a dry floor.
We used Tesco in Aylsham and Morrisons in Cromer for food. No fresh meat or fish at Tesco, all pre packed. Morrisons had excellent choice. Good local shops in Cromer, fish, butchers.
We were given maps with walks and cycle rides from the site, barely used the car.
We don't have children but the play area looked good, and the geese and goslings were a hit with young and old.
Definitely worth going back.

We just arrived back from our second stay here. Yet again, we had a fantastic time. There were two families, with children aged 1,3,4,7&9. They all loved it!
Everywhere was clean as usual. However, dog mess was a problem but was quickly sorted by the owners. Its a shame the dog owners do not keep an eye on what their dogs are doing!
The animals were not there for some reason which the kids missed but we went for a lovely walk to see the deers across the road.
There really is very little to fault about this site! We've already booked to go in July! Be aware that the site is getting booked up very quickly so aim to book as soon as you can. We could not get in for August

Stayed 4 nights first week in June. Site is very well laid out and spotlessly clean. Staff extremely helpful.
Location is perfect for visiting North Norfolk coast, Norwich, Norfolk Broads etc. Access to site is good, very well sign posted.
Noise was kept low at night time, security barrier at night so site felt safe and secure. Toilets/showers spotless never saw them dirty and they were well used ( site at full capacity)
The owners have put a lot of thought in to planning this site it is very nature friendly take a walk over the road follow duck and dog signs there is a lovely walk around a bird fowl sanctuary and a woodland walk.
This is probably one of the best sites we have stayed at, we will be back.

Just returned from a seven night stay. We booked in January and could not get an electric pitch so we knew the site was popular.
We pitched right next to the lake in the non electric area. Having read all the excellent reviews on this site we did have high expectations and these were more than exceeded.
We have stayed at several sites over the years we have been camping and this has to be the best. There is no need to repeat what has already been said about this great site only that we have booked to go back next year (electric pitch) and we were not the only ones.
The fact that you rebook a year in advance says everything that needs to be said.If you had a wish list of the perfect campsite deers glade would tick all the boxes.

WOW! The reviews are true. This campsite really is as good as it sounds!
We have just spent whit half term week here: 4 adults, a 13 year old, a 2 year old and a dog, and would go as far as to say it is the best campsite we have stayed at in the UK.
We camped in the non-electric section, which is right at the back of the site. Plenty of space for everyone, and you are even allowed to put up gazebos, tent stores and set up courts, wickets, nets etc right next to your tent.
The electric pitches were more regimented with hedges to mark each one out, and were nearer to the wash blocks, shop and play area.
There are 2 washblocks, one to each side of the camp. The showers are truly luxurious. Always warm and clean, plenty of hot water and not too much queuing even though it was busy. It seems like they are cleaned about every 1-2 hours.
The shop is well stocked with camping bits you might have forgotten (and new airbeds when yours pops)and sells proper Mr Whippy ice creams at £1.
The play area is very popular and it was lovely to see kids from age 2-16 all playing together nicely! When we were there is was very hot and sunny so the kids were all filling up lots of water balloons all day long!
Right next to the play area there are about 8 goats, 2 sheep a donkey and some birds. Our kids loved feeding them grass and they seemed very tame. We didn't fish in the lake but lots of people were and they seemed pretty chiled out.
The staff were very very friendly and helpful. Thye recommended a pub to try for a bar meal (The Foundry Arms in North Repps) and gave directions to an Indian take away (North Walsham) both of which were great.
We also used their dog sitting service on 2 days, which is very good value at £7. They even return your dog to your tent - fed, watered and walked!
There are some nice walks around by the site in the woods, and lots to do nearby if you feel like getting out. We went to Cromer (typical old fashioned beach resort - good for crabbing), Wroxham Barns (farm, crazy golf and fun fair - great for kids and teenagers) and Houghton Hall (stately home and beautiful gardens near Kings Lynn - highly recommended).
The only point we feel people might need to be aware of is that the camp is quite noisy all evening, right up until 11pm. The 'no noise after 11pm rule' is obeyed by everyone but not until 11pm on the dot! People were still enjoying a boisterous game of rounders in the play area one night right up until then. It didn't bother us as we had a little campfire and sat talking but I guess it might be if you wanted to go to sleep earlier.
We will absolutely definitely be going back!
