Good location, well maintained site but unbelievably rules-fixated wardens!

There are signs everywhere about no cycling on the paths, make sure you're off by mid-day, please control your children/ dogs/ mother-in-laws.

We were made to feel like outcasts for arriving at 7.30, although arrivals are officially up till 8pm, told exactly where to pitch our tent and park the car within the pitch, and a warden even came to check up on us while we were pitching it!

What really takes the biscuit, though, is the toilet block. It's very nice, spotless in fact, the reason for this being it's closed for an hour and a half every day while they clean it (and there's only the one). It's locked for the full hour and a half from 11 am, only one disabled toilet for the entire site to use.

My 7-year-old was absolutely desperate for the toilet, and after waiting for 10 minutes for the disabled loo with no sign of anyone emerging we asked the warden if she would let us use the main loos, absolutely no way - they have a system for cleaning the toilets and that's it, they are completely closed for the full hour & a half and even a child in agony was seen as no reason to bend the rules. She managed to infer that it was a bit much that people in their "luxury caravans" expected to use the site facilities at all, although we were in a tent with no facilities!

A real shame but the wardens' attitudes really spoilt what is a very nice site in a good location.

We have just returned from a visit to this great site. It is a lovely site, very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.
One small moan though, we had a super pitch, for which we paid £2.50 per night extra for drainage, water and electric. But we had to buy a connector for £2:30 from the office to obtain water from the tap! If we had been told about this when we booked, we could have brought one from home, but as it is I feel we have paid twice for the privilege of running water. K&J Jones

This site is very clean, staff very pleasant. Facilities very clean. The site has a nice picturesque lake that is positively teeming with wildlife. I would give the site 100%. However the big drawback for me is the noise that can be heard from the Industrial park (particularly at night)

Disappointed in this site, recently stayed for 3 nights, despite  the cost we contemplated not staying after 1st night as we found the site very unfriendly - felt motorhomes not wanted.  I agree we the reviewer who said they felt  it was a case of 'children should be seen and not heard' as this is exactly how we felt, three kids, one with special needs.  Open pond lovely but totally unsafe for young children.  Paid for super serviced pitch - not super and not serviced- had to buy additional equipment to use water supply which note on noticeboard said was available - staff member hadn't heard of it - said I'll' never understand you motorhomers and your gadgets'!  Also no privacy closer to other vans than any of the four other sites we stayed on and this was the only onethat was meant to be super serviced!

We 've been here lots of times before and it does not disappoint. Yes it is pricey but its really well run & looked after. It was full at Easter with over 500 people on the site (according to the wardens), yet it never seemed busy. There is also lots do in the area. P.S. the Punjab Terrace restaurant in Bridgnorth is seriously good

Went here for 2nd time this year at the weekend as it's only 20 minutes away from us (though it seems like its forever away!). It's a lovely quiet site, with excellent facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. We booked a super pitch for the 1st time and even though we only used the drainage for the waste water and the sky t.v. we thought it was worth an extra £3 a night, even though 2 nights stay cost us £49 which definitely is expensive we had a lovely relaxing time.

The kids enjoyed the freedom of going to the play area alone, which they never get to do at home and they absolutely loved the ducks! Down the road is a country park which we use to walk our dogs which took us 5 mins by car to get to though if you haven't got 2 moaning kids in tow you can walk to in about 10 minutes. There is also a dog walk on site but they must be on a lead.

All in all a good time was had by all and we will most definitely go back again.

I stayed on a super pitch as no 'normal' pitches were available.
Site was excellent. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Grass short. No rubbish. Brilliant hot showers. Polite and friendly staff. I cannot say enough good things about this site, so feel a little guilty moaning a bit.

Satellite TV was 'compulsary' on super pitches @ £3 a night; expensive for 5 mediocre channels. Water on pitch was only available if you had a hozelock male to male adaptor. If you hadn't got one, you could always buy one from the site ! 3 nights was nealy £60; expensive for january; especially when I could stay on a comparable site in high season for less.

Sorry, seems the moans have outweighed the good points, and that really is not the case.

Overall this site has excellent, clean facilities, but I will NOT stay again as it is too expensive.

We revisited this site after a year, it’s the first site we’ve ever been back to. (We like exploring new places.) However this was such a great site last year for autumnal camping we decided to go back.

We had booked to go the first weekend in October but due to family commitments we had to postpone for a couple of weeks. We phoned the site to explain that we were unable to go, expecting to loose our £10.00 deposit, but it was just transferred to our new booking. The weekend cost £37.40 for the two of us on a grass pitch with EHU. There is a £5.00 discount for members of the Caravan Club, but not the Camping and Caravan Club members.

The pitch was well marked, flat and well drained, (we had some very heavy rain whilst there but didn't have any problems, however, we were told that some of the 'all weather pitches' didn't do so well.)and where we were the pitches were staggered, back and front pegs, so we all had plenty of space. We though this was an excellent idea as you were not overlooked by your neighbour.

On our initial visit we were unsure how long the site had been opened, as everything looked so new and nice, so it was fantastic to see that nothing had changed, the facilities were still spotless and well maintained. Although it wasn’t as cold as when we visited last year it was great to have a fully heated shower block AND washing up room. The showers themselves are hot and very powerful, even when it’s busy.
Even though it was a ‘half term’ weekend and the site was busy it was it didn’t appear crowded and once the sun went down the site was blissfully quiet.

This is a site that we will visit time and time again, especially throughout the autumn and winter season because the facilities are so great.

A very nice caravan club site with a lovely lake and spotless facilities and a well stocked shop. Bridgnorth, Ironbridge and surrounding area has loads of things to do so g8 for the kids. Couldn't help thinking site and shop were a bit on the pricey side. Nevertheless a nice site.

Immaculately kept site. Friendly helpful staff. Toilets are very clean.
We stayed for 2 nights to test our newly aquired caravan. We had a fully serviced pitch which had plenty of room. We had told them we were bringing the dog and they managed to pitch a short distance from the dog walk and close to the play area, which was very useful. The site is very quiet with no clubhouse/ pub but our 10year old daughter still found lots of friends and didn't want to leave. Shop on site sold the basics, I took the car into Bridgnorth to shop. The Severn Valley Steam railway is worth a trip, you feel like you're in an Agatha Christie movie!
