Good site, but camping area on a slope/hill. Facilities good, but wish the little ones were not allowed in the bar after 10pm! Showers etc good and clean, just don't leave your shampoo etc for a minute or it will be nicked! Beach fab and tractor ride was fun. Shop was well stocked and not too dear either. Loads of stuff for kids to do (even for my 16 year old). Probably not return tho, too many little kids for our liking.

This is the 3rd haven campsite we have been to and it was great. Like a previous post said it gets windy, being on top of a cliff can be difficult to put your tent up! We went for a weekend, and to get a good pitch arrive as early as you can, as it got very busy by teatime. Has running water points all over the site. The toilets were clean and constantly being cleaned, cleaners were there at 6.30am! Showers are a bit yuck but no different to any other sites been to. Power points for hairdryers and irons/boards and vending machine all at the shower block. Shop is smashing and some things on offer were quite cheap. Got to mention the chip shop in the complex lovey chips. Kids will love the tractor/trailer ride down to the beach and its free!beach is nice to, our toddlers loved it. Please be aware that you have to pay £10 deposit for a toilet key, and we found the block was open all the time. All in all great site and clean place

Just visited this site and had a great weekend. In good weather the cliff top setting is fantastic and makes up for the slightly out of date and rather grubby facilities. Went for a shower at tea time on Saturday and almost walked out because it was so dirty, mud and rubbish all over the floor. One plus point is the cliff top walk from the park entrance to Humanby Gap where there is a little cafe, its only a mile and you can walk back along the beach. In my opinion the whole site needs a bit of TLC and some money investing in then it would be really special.

WOW what a fab site! having been to another haven park not far from this one only a few weeks ago I had my reservations. but I was proven very wrong. We were greeted by friendly staff & all throughout our stay everyone was very helpful. We had requested a more level pitch (after our stay at a previous site felt more like being drunk on a ship when walking from one end of the van to the other!) again they were very accommodating and we had a good pitch which had plenty of room for our awning and car. It was a pleasant suprise being on a touring pitch to only be 3 rows away from the complex instead of having to walk for miles through statics to get to anything. We took our two daughters age 7 and our 15 month old son. Our girls were kept very occupied by the huge outdoor play area where they made lots of friends and we could see them easily from where we were. The entertainment was great! there is a fish and chip bar, an all you can eat pizza pasta buffet, bar etc. Swimming was good, our daughters were not out of their depth at the deepest part, plenty of life guards & it was nice and clean.Be aware you get changed poolside there are about 5 changing rooms altogether and a family/ baby changing cubicle which we all crammed into! There is space for you to sit and watch the kids on a balcony if swimming isn't your thing. There is massive beach just 10 mins walk away, beautiful sand, nice and clean with rock pools etc for the kids to explore. there is a tractor that pulls a train type trailer up & down the steep hill to the beach from the site, it runs every 15 mins till 5.30pm. One downside were the touring site toilets were awful according to my husband, of the 5 toilets, 3 out of order, the 4th had no seat and 5th was well used (and not very often flushed) the soap dispenser wasn't filled over the 3 days we stayed. The bar toilets were average (for a pub loo, however these are not open at 6am). I used our own loo so can't comment on the ladies after what I had heard about the gents! All that said its the only flaw we found, and if this was addressed we would have no complaints at all! An excellent site and well worth a visit, great for kids, we are certainly going back again.

The tent area is on the edge of the cliff and therefore there is no shelter from the weather at all. Sadly I read the reviews on here after booking so we foolishly decided to risk it. We broke a pole trying to erect the tent in the wind, but managed to fix it with gaffer tape. We spent a good deal of the night lying awake watching the tent bend in on itself. My 8 year old son then woke up complaining that the tent was 'coming in' so we moved him and our clothes bags to the car for the rest of the night, fully expecting that the rest of us might have to evacuate at short notice. The tent did survive, but we didn't sleep much. The next day we moved to a static van which was much better!
We enjoyed the swimming pool and the children liked the craft activities and circus skills but we wouldn't consider camping here in a tent again.

I love this place. It's an hour and a half drive from Bradford where I live and resides on the crumbly cliffs of the East coast. The weather can be a mixed bag most times but when its summer there can be glorious days. My 4 year old can play all day in the arcades or in the pool. The club and bars are excellent and we have been about 30 times to this site in the last ten years and alway look forward to it.
The facilities for camping are a bit dated but are in good shape and are always clean and tidy ( depending on the clientelle ). Plenty of space for everyone most times but in good weather bands or bank holidays the tent field gets very busy. Scarborough is 15 mins away so plenty to see and do there. The on site shop is well stocked but can be pricy as you tend to find on some sites, especially the booze ( take your own ladys and gents!) but all in all a lovley place to visit. The road to the site is like a rollercoaster ride if you get some speed up its great fun he he he.( big kid me ) please visit and enjoy hopefully it wont rain.

First time we have tried a Sun £9.50 holiday offer. (Add on deposits and charges for linen, electricity, entertainment passes etc, it is not a cheap break) The caravan was filthy to say the least. Stained seating, smelly, very worn and tatty. Not very impressed with the site, tables etc in bar area were sticky, and dirty, unhelpful staff, ran out of beer, very overpriced too. Swimming pool out of order. The touring pitches were terrible too, on the edge of the site, very untidy field, with a few paving slabs dotted around. Terrible view of the back of the facilities block.

We went to this site for August Bank Holiday. The site was extremely busy and was quite noisy at night. The first night everyone did settle down just after midnight. The third night the warden was out and about quite alot! The pitch we was on had quite a slope, but we managed ok in our FC. The toilets and showers I found quite dirty. The club was ok but you need to be there early to get a table.

July 2005 Didn't receive any confirmation thru the post. Arrived there and got thru reception very quick. We were directed to the tenting field which we found easily and chose our place to camp. We got our tent up and settled in our spot. We found the facilities were very good for the tent site. We went to have a meal in the pub which cost £7.95 for an adult meal which we chose a steak and ale pie, mash and peas. We got a meat pie full of gristle and powdered mash with no gravy or peas: it was disgusting! My son had kids macaroni cheese which he said wasn't cooked because it was cold. We tried the take away place a couple of days later and we chose pie, peas and chips. They had no chips so we got cold potato wedges, cold pie and cold mushy peas 5 mins later. We saw a poster for an Italian special of pizza, garlic bread etc on Tuesday and Thursday nights. We went for it on the Tuesday night at 6 which we were told it would be on from to find that they didn't do it on Tuesdays anymore.
We went to the swimming pool on the Wednesday to find it was shut and went in the toddler soft play area to have to walk out when it got filled with big kids. Tried to use Air hockey which was filthy and didn't work properly and tried a few other machines that didn't work. The tent field wasn't bad but we constantly had to be wary of ball games been played near our tent including a cricket ball. Would definitely not recommend this place to ANYONE !!!

August 2005 We're fairly new to camping and this was only our second outing. We chose this site because we could only manage one night, and this was one of the only site's that would take us for one night at this time of the year.
Not having much to compare it with, I'll just give you the bare facts; The camping field is little more than a field stuck off the end of the static caravan pitches. The field is a combination of level areas and what I would class as quite a steep hill. There are no designated pitches in the field and we were told to 'pitch where we wanted' (there are some electric hook-ups available further into the site where they are designated). One moan is the safety aspect. The camping field is basically on a cliff side and there was no fencing. I have some rather adventurous children and they were down the banking in less than half an hour (un-hurt but could easily have been). The showers, whilst not modern, were clean, in abundance with hot water and free. Each one had a seperate wet tray also so you could get out dry - I was a little suprised that the sinks were in a seperate part of the building though so you couldn't do the full wash routine in one place!
Other facilities were OK, with a bar, food court and shop - although on the pricey side, as they always seem to be on Haven sites.
Cost wise I thought this was quite pricey for one night, but for longer stays it wasn't that much more and so worked out at far better value.
Probably wouldn't visit again, but we did have an enjoyable stay.
