We stayed here for 5 nights, paid in advance at a total cost of £105. This is a very popular area with close proximity to Windsor and Henley, so it is not surprising that many campers and caravanners are interested and take the opportunity of staying at such a well run site. The whole complex, including the statics are well positioned into different fields and locations, which gives the overall feeling of being smaller. Puddles can present a nuisance and some entrances to the fields were plagued by mud, which is not welcome by most campers. The whole park is perched next to the River Thames, so walking whilst watching the boating and the natural surrounding can be a pleasant way to spend a day. It would benefit from a small shop for minor necessities, such as fresh bread, and a better play area for small children. However, as it is, in a busy tourist area, I would warmly recommend this commercial site.

1st family camping trip, very clean and well kept site, We stayed for 14 days and used this site as our base to visit local attractions
Toilets / shower blocks very clean, also a family shower block that was good for trying to wash the young ones. There is a small shop in the reception that stocks essentials, Staff were very friendly and always had a smile on their faces and were always willing to take time to talk to my 3yr old daughter.
The site is just yards from the Thames, with lovely walks along the river, Henley is only 10 minutes drive away with boat hire and trips on the Thames
The village of Hurley is only 15 minutes walk away and there is a village shop and two pubs that serve excellent food
Whilst we were here we visited Legoland (15 mins away), Beale Park (30 mins), Windsor Castle (20 mins), Whipsnade Zoo (45 mins) Tiggywinkles animal hospital (20 mins)
A very nice campsite that I would recommend to everybody and we will be going back again

This is a very large site with a number of static vans, but it is sectioned off to feel smaller and secluded.
There appears to be a tenting field and several other sections some with and some without hard standings. We chose a serviced pitch in a section called Maple. The pitches weren't especially large, but we were happy with ours.
No one in the touring section gets a river view, but it is only 2 minutes walk to the Thames footpath.
We only used the family toilet block. It seemed new and was always clean and spacious with plenty of hot water although the building was a little cold.
Reception was friendly and there was a small shop selling non perishable goods.
There was no tv reception in Maple for us, probably due to the trees but some of the other pitches may not have had this problem.
The Thames footpath is fantastic we walked to Marlow about 1 1/4 hours, path or grass all of the way. A lovely walk and Marlow was very nice. Henley was a little further, but again a nice path.
Hurley is very pretty, about 15 minute walk. Two pubs and a small shop.
We barely noticed large aircraft noise, though heard the odd small aircraft and helicopter. This did not adversely affect our stay.
I would highly recommend this site, location, location, location! We will return.

My family and I spent 4 nights here, we used it as a base to visit Chessington and Legoland. It was not at all busy and therefore was very quite. The shower/toilet blocks are modern and clean. The family block is very well laid out providing proper family facilities. There was no heating in the blocks which makes it uncomfortable in early season for little ones.
There is a charge for freezing ice blocks (20p) each.
My wife did experience a cold shower mid morning one day which may of been lack of water or just a fault.
The site is situated on the Thames, which has lovely walks, Hurley lock is approximately 15 mins walk and has a lovely very reasonable cafe.
The site is in the flight path of Heathrow but sufficient distance away that it caused no concern to us.
There is no play ground but there is a large play field which is great for outdoor games.
All in all we thought this is a wonderful site and would recommend

This was the 7th time we have stayed at this site and we return time after time due to it's quite surroundings and lovely riverside setting.
We only stay for a maximum of two nights as this is a site we use for weekends away.
The wardens are friendly and helpful.
This site is split into various smaller fields so you don't feel as if you are on a large site although there is plenty of space for a little wander around.
At the far end of the site there is a large field for playing in, this is great for ball games although as there are no children's play facilities it is really only of use to older children. The site could definitely benefit from some kind of play equipment to give the younger ones something else to do. We resort to walking to the river and feeding the ducks.
Toilet facilities are very good. For showers or with little children we always try to use the second shower block which has individual 'bathrooms' in it. Absolutely brilliant when getting the children showered as there is so much room and you can use the toilet, basin and shower without having to go to different cubicles for each purpose. It really is like being at home!
The walk to Hurley itself is pleasant and if you want to venture further you can get to Marlow in one direction or Henley in the other. The path to Henley is quite stony and narrow in some places and is not really suitable for buggys. The walk to Marlow is fine with a buggy.
There is a very small shop on site (well, more of a store cupboard really) with a few bits and pieces on sale. We have never used the shop.
In Hurley there are a couple of really nice pubs which do lovely food although can be a little pricey.
We will return to this site for years to come although it would be nice if there were a few more facilities.

Lovely site, cannot really add to what has already been said.
Easy to find, good hosts, little shop, I said little shop! - excellent easy walking along the river, direct access from the site.
Toilet and showers perfectly fine.
Good pubs nearby, just walk able, but worthwhile.
Pitches a good size, with space to breathe.
At one end of the site is a big field for children to play and kick a ball around - didn't notice if this was a dog walking area too - but I'd be surprised if it was.
Used the site since to test pitch, and use!, new tent purchase.
Have been back since this review - so that says something!

Just returned from a weekend at Hurley Riverside park and it is a great site
Really well laid out with all the paddocks nicely separated so you get the feeling you are on a small site
The facilities are great with plenty of showers and the family showers were a great size and there is a small basically stocked shop
You are right on the river Thames and there is a lovely riverside walk
The only disappointment would be for such a family friendly site there is no playground for the children

I decided to take my daughter to both Legoland and Chessington Park during our holiday and wanted to stay somewhere close to both of them.
We chose Hurley mainly for this reason but when we got there we were pleasantly impressed.
Hurley Riverside Park is in a beautiful setting near to the river and in close proximity to many attractions (Chessington is only about 40 miles away & Legoland a few junctions away).
Our pitch was spacious but at the end of a pathway so we had people walking extremely close to our van, something other pitches didn't have a problem with.
The only downside is that this family friendly site didn't seem overly child friendly.
The toilets closest to us have a lock on it which, for my 6yr old at least, took some remembering and was difficult with little hands.
Also, the sinks/taps/chains were higher than anywhere else so my daughter wasn't able to enjoy as much independence as anywhere else.
I was also disappointed that I wasn't allowed to use the launderette due to being a camper. The shop was also behind a locked stable door that you had to hang over to see all the stock. Very frustrating.
Overall this site was lovely for cleanliness, showers were spacious and the scenery was beautiful & well maintained.

Nice clean and tidy site. Toilets and showers clean. Large pitches. Nice places to walk the dog (by the side of the Thames)
We used the village shop in Hurley for our morning paper and snacks. The ladies in here were friendly, humorous and helpful. The Rising Sun in Hurley was reasonably priced and run by a great couple who loved dogs and made our well behaved pooch very welcome.
They were kind enough to make us each an Irish coffee on a cold evening. They have recently taken on the pub and I hope they stay around.
Frankie of Frankie's Hairdressers in the old post office was really kind and fitted me in as an 'emergency' holiday cut as I didn't have time before I left home. A really friendly village.
Had a lovely evening meal at the Red Lion bistro pub up the road. Could be pricey but would recommend it for a treat.
We cycled with the dog along the Thames to Henley on Thames 7 1/2 miles. And back again and then to Marlow, nearer and in the opposite direction. Both had gates and styles but great views and there's a nice cafe area on Hurley Lock in the Marlow direction.
We watched twin calves being born on the farm next door to the campsite. A lovely 2 hours spent urging mum on!
Two things that spoilt it a little were that the warden cycled past us on site a couple of times and didn't acknowledge anyone. I appreciate it can be a tiring job but a smile and 'OK?' would have been nicer.
The other thing was that our daughter and two grandchildren weren't able to pop in for an hour or so to see our new tent as no visitors allowed in high season.
Would love to visit the area again but book elswhere.

Spent 8 nights here, really just a base for legoland and London. Very quiet, well spaced out basic campsite. Basic shop, no play park but lots of room for kids to play. First toilet block very basic, took us about 5 days to realise the second block was much nicer with family shower rooms, didn't walk to last block. Nice staff, friendly and helpful. The negatives were very uneven bumpy ground, our electric kept going off while we were our, had to give it a wiggle in the socket (did report this). We were near the bins which even though emptied every day we could smell them from the tent and we saw a lot of rats which appeared to live in the bushes near our tent. Although a very nice site it was missing something for us, atmosphere maybe? I know we all like a quiet site but this one was deadly quiet and even though we want to return to legoland will look at other sites first, sorry Hurley just wasn't for us.
