Just got back from a 3 night stay at Applefields and thought it was a really lovely campsite.
Very level field and generous pitches. The showers were great as you can actually control the temperature and they are large and include a loo and basin.
Such a treat to have such privacy when camping! I loved the "turn up and leave when you want" and the fact that they don't seem to need to list a thousand rules.
A really friendly, peaceful and relaxed site with great (and very clean) facilities.
Would definitely recommend.

Lovely site, flat and dry pitches - even when 'full' there was more than enough space.
Clean and plentiful facilities.
Well located for beach, and local amenities.

What a little gem of a site. Why haven't we found this before and only living 40 mins away.
The site is lovely, very spacious, very quiet & kept in pristine condition. Facilities are great, very clean and covid safe.
The owners are so relaxed about everything to arriving and departing. We shall definitely be returning.

Really enjoyed our stay here. So peaceful.
The owners are really nice and easy going. Lovely dog walk through the orchard.
Toilets and showers clean and kept maintained. Basic site but well worth stay here if you want open spaces, not crowded and a peaceful holiday.
Will be back next year. Walking distance to shops and pubs.

Great little site, no gimmicks just straight forward camping as it should be. Thanks to Sue and Steve, are very laid back and on hand if needed but not over bearing.
You arrive and leave when your ready, showers hot and toilets very clean with roll, hand wash. Even wash up liquid and sponges in lit wash up area.
Handy for minsmere rspb and short walk to town centre with supermarket, great pubs and restaurants.
Last visited 3yrs ago but will return sooner, Covid permitting Leave money in an envelope. No clubhouse etc just relaxing with plenty of pitch space.
Owners always welcoming and keep site well cut and immaculately clean.
Small number of Pitches so Never had to queue for toilets etc

Another excellent stay at Applefields.
The site was not overly busy and it was quiet and relaxing.
As expected, the site was clean and well maintained as were the toilets and showers.
Looking forward to visiting again in the future.

What an absolutely brilliant site!
At a time like this we just want to feel safe and have a bit of space and that’s just what we got at Applefields…and more!
We last came here on our last caravan holiday which was in 2019…the lockdown restrictions to travel had put an stop to us holidaying before this year. We came back simply because of the lovely holiday we’d had at Applefields.
We have bikes so the area was perfect for travelling easily to the coast to Aldeburgh and Southwold. There are good facilities in the nearby town of Leiston and bigger stores in Saxmundham.
The main reason for coming here was the free and easy style of holiday that we wanted. The facilities are good and convenient. The trusting and generous nature of the owner is to be commended.
There is an allotment next door belonging to the owner and there was fresh produce for sale and a free bunch of sweet peas made the caravan complete!
Thankyou Susie and everyone who helps you to run this pretty site. It’s a credit to you!
