Arrived at site during torrential rain. Shown to pitch by extremely helpful staff. As one would expect from such a downpour the condition of the site was not great. Staff could not do enough to help they were fantastic!  They made every effort to make sure that we were happy and satisfied with their makeshift alterations to our pitch.  The toilets and showers were indeed to die for, very clean and very modern with continuous hot water day or night.  As a family with two small children we were naturally very concerned about the lake.  This was fenced off very well and we needn't have  worried.
The other campers adhered very well to the 10 pm deadline and indeed it was quiet on site after 10 pm. The weather picked up and we had a very enjoyable and pleasant time at Warcombe Farm.  Would recommend it to everyone and we would certainly go back.  Full marks to the staff on site for their helpfulness and dedication.

We chose this site, after reading such favourable reviews, and we were NOT disappointed, it was fantastic !
We were a group of three tents,(6 x adults & 2 x little people) we were able to book good pitches, all next to each other, all with electrical hook up.

In all honesty the shower block has to be the best we have ever used, they were regularly cleaned with loads of hot water, in the gents side alone there are 13 showers !

The washing machines/driers are up to date, and work well.
The younger members of the group enjoyed the play area (we were lucky not to be pitched in that area) and the ducks around the fishing lake, should be very plump after all the bread were force fed  !

It made a pleasant change to go to a campsite without a bar / entertainment, which keeps the whole site nice and peaceful, and limits the  number of people coming in late, "jollied up"

The staff are very attentive, and so helpful, polite and efficient they put some other campsites to shame, we were even guided to our pitches.

We were there for the 1st two weeks in August weather  a bit wet (ok, it poured down on & off, which caused the entrance to the field become boggy, but it never stopped us getting in or out)

Croyde beach is excellent for body boarding, it makes the "interesting" road down to the beach worth it.

IF you are looking for a nice quiet campsite, with cracking views
Excellent facilities & the nicest staff, this is the place for you.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We are a couple in our early 30's. The area had had non-stop rain for 48 hours before we arrived but seemed well drained. We were taken to our pitch by a guy on a quad bike which was very handy. We went at the height of the season and still we had plenty of room. The site is separated into areas so you only have a maximum of 8 tents around you. This site seems to be 95% tents which was nice for us!

There are two modern toilet blocks which are kept very clean and I didn't have to queue once! The lights are automatic and I have been told that if you spend too long on the loo they go off and the sensor is outside the cubicles!

The playground seemed well equipped and not too vast.

Woolacombe is a 5 min drive away. The campsite says you can walk but the walk is very steep and down a narrow lane with no footpath which cars use. It was OK to do once but you wouldn't be able to carry much kit. Woolacombe has a good choice of shops which are cheaper than the site shop but the site shop wasn't too dear. The beach is fantastic and the lifeguards there are excellent. Ilfracombe is about 10 minutes away, Mortehoe is about 5 minutes away, Croyde 10-15 minutes away.

The site offers meals to take away which you are given a menu for when you book in. Examples: 100% Beefburger 1/4lb = £2.10, Meal Boxes (e.G.Lasagne, Curry, Stroganoff, Roast Chicken) include chips, rice or jacket potato for £6.50. They also have a breakfast and kiddies menu and seem to have a wide variety of Veggie options. I cannot comment on the quality as we ate in Woolacombe and Ilfracombe while we stayed which both have a wide variety of eateries.

I would highly recommend this site. The staff are very welcoming and the facilities are excellent - and you can't beat the location!

Booked this this site due to positive reviews and it didn't disappoint!
Arrived for a long weekend just as the sun came out and it never stopped shining! As you enter the campsite you are greeted with a fabulous view of the Welsh coastline in the distance, this also provides the spectacular sunsets.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful and guided us to our pitch. The pitch was huge with electric hookup close by and backed onto newly planted woodland, bearing in mind that the rain had been continuous for some weeks prior to our arrival the site was draining well with only a few really 'boggy/muddy' areas which the owners had obviously made attempts to remedy. After a couple of days the entire site seemed to have dried out.
The reception shop was well stocked with essentials milk etc., and a few camping bits - we bought and extra groundsheet and didn't seemed to be over priced. The toilet and shower blocks were fantastic, huge showers big enough to fit the whole family in if need be, with lots of storage space to put your bits and pieces, lots of lovely hot water. Kept clean to a very high standard. Only had to queue once at peak time and that was only for a few minutes- anyway it gives you a chance to chat to your neighbours.
There was a childrens' play area which although not massive had enough to keep the 12 and under occupied. What we really liked about this site was that it appeared to be 95% camping and very few caravans, it was full of families which generated a lovely atmosphere.
There are some lovely walks to go on and as I said the views are spectacular. The location is only 5mins drive from Woolacombe bay or you can walk to Rockham bay or Morthoe
The only criticism (and it is a minor one at that )is that there is still access for campers to return very late at night to their pitch in their cars and we had a few 'wake up calls' from rowdy returnees and slamming car doors.
It is not the campsite for you if you want entertainment and lots to do for older kids on site etc., but if you want some where safe and spotlessly clean with a lovely atmosphere then this is the site for you
We loved it so much we are returning before the summer is out!

We Visited this campsite in May 2007 and can only say that we will definitely be going back and soon.

The site is well kept, has a superb fishing lake and all the pitches are spacious, for all the Tenters out there the pitches for the tents are as good, being set amongst various hedges and giving a good degree of privacy and peace and quiet.

The shower and toilet block are fab with very spacious shower facilities. The block is new and very well kept.we cant comment on the washing up area as we did not use it due to being in a motorhome.

There is a good walk for the Dogs and this links to the public coastal foot path for Morthoe (which has a very Good pub to stop in on the way home!) This path also takes routes to Bull point Light House And Lee.

The Beach At Woolacombe is Splendid but can get busy at peak times but its great for the Kids, You can also take dogs on to the beach but you need to head for the far Left hand side of the beach. There are life guards on duty but Just remember to observe the flags as there is a rip tide that can cause havoc to the unwary swimmers and amateur Boarders among you.

The beach is about a ten minute drive or bike ride. The bike ride back is a tough one because its all uphill! (10 minutes down, 1 Hour Back)

Going back to the camp site we tested the takeaway and had a brilliant Tea.the menu is quite varied, its not the cheapest but the wait was well worth it as the food is good, especially when its raining and the Bar B Que is redundant!

There is a good Children's Play Area which would test the most active of little people with lots of swings. A Tyre Slide and General Climbing Frame.

There is no bar or clubhouse if you are looking for a site with the Hi D Hi Factor and entertainment, then go down the road as this wont be the place for you.

Had a great time, facilities best I have seen, will be back soon!

Spacious pitches, well mown, nice hedges between some pitches, toilet block is the best I have experienced. Clean, warm, plenty of space. The whole experience is a pleasure cannot fault this site. So much so that I have been back many times, over a few years.

The facilities on this site are second to none, imaculate, spacious, practical and plentiful. The pitching areas are ultra large and generously spaced, our pitch did slope slightly which meant we had to pitch side on, but this was not a signifcant problem.

There is an on site take away which was a little pricey and the menu was a bit over complicated which resulted in at least an hour+ wait at peak times.

If you enjoy walking the far end of the site links up with public footpaths to Mortehoe, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe.

If you should walk into Ilfracombe on a Bank Holiday  be sure to reserve your strength for the return journey because a taxi (Ilfracombe Taxis) will set you back 19 pounds for a 3 mile trip.

The site is currently being updated and will soon have another ablutions block.

Well worth a stay if you dont mind a short drive to the beach.

Lovely site in a nice location.
Pitches vary in size. I asked for a 'large' pitch and had plenty of room for my 9 birth tent. With electric hook up.
Good children's playground ( I have a 9 and 5 year old ). Lake looked good if you are into fishing.
Toilet and shower facilitie's very good. Spotlessly clean. Lots of showers. Family bathroom also available.
Dish washing room again very clean and adequate.
Staff very pleasant.
Small shop selling essentials like milk, bread etc.
I didn't actually use the food 'take away', but saw the menu and although it wasn't cheap, it looked reasonable. Plenty of variety.
Overall a very pleasant camping trip.
I would definitely return and recommend this site to others.

What a lovely site! Very large pitches with plenty of electric hook-ups We visited with our 2 Grandchildren aged 18 months and 2.  There was so much space for them to run around without bothering other campers and also a lovely adventure playground on site.  Our Grandchildren were particularly fond of the ducks and ducklings.

The toilet and shower block were the best we have come across since we have been camping and were kept extremely clean.  There was also a family wash room with a full size bath, over-bath shower, toilet and baby changing facilities which proved to be very useful with 2 toddlers.  Also disabled facilities.

The washing up facilities were excellent, with numerous sinks, a sink  for hand washing clothes, many washing machines and tumble driers and an ironing room.

The site was well maintained and the staff very friendly.  Plenty of places to visit around and the beach just five minutes away.  A brilliant beach for children as there was a little shallow river which ran down the sand to the sea.  Also part of the beach was for surfing and was very popular.

Our only criticism was that the nappy bin in the family wash room was not emptied for the week we were there and as the weather was warm it got a bit smelly.

Other than that, it was the best site we have stayed on. We will definitely be back.

This is a great site! This was our first camping trip as a family although we camped as children. We both think that this site may have spoilt us as we will probably now compare all other sites to this one.

The Toilets and Showers were out of this world and better than some Hotels I’ve stayed in. The site is well maintained and the planting on the site gave a lot of privacy.

The Children’s Play Area was brilliant for my 5 Year old. A lot of campers had Dogs and this looked like a great place for Dogs as they had the big field at the back for walks etc.

The Washing up facilities and Food Preparation area were great and I noticed they had loads of washing machines and tumble dryers there if you needed them. My husband took my son into the family room for a shower and said that it had a lovely bath, shower and toilet in one room which was great for smaller children. I previously used one of the disabled showers in the Ladies as it was 6.30am and no one was around with my Son and that was very spacious. There was also another separate room for disabled by the family room.

The ‘on-line’ internet booking was really good. The only critism is that they were still letting people pitch at nearly 11pm on the Friday night (it was May Day Bank Holiday weekend!) They say in their brochure that they wont let people pitch after 10pm. This kept us awake for a while, but didn’t spoil our holiday and I’m already planning another trip there next month.

There was a very nice pub with good food which you pass to get to the camp. The Beach was only a few minutes drive away which was great for my 5 year old. Woolacombe beach is a great for children and surfing although very busy.
