Just back after spending 10 days here with my family. The site was really good, the people were so friendly, showers was free and hot water all day. My kids loved the park and the large area where they played all day. The pool was brilliant. Only had a meal in the restaurant once but it was brilliant the plate was full and at a reasonable price too, also the take away was so handy especially in the evening when kids got a bit hungry. The shop was a bit disappointing as it closed early so if you run out of something you had to wait until next morning and not stocked very well with camping accessories. Would definitely recommend this site and will also love to go back.

This is the second year we have stayed on this site. Both times we have found the facilities good, the heated outdoor pool was really nice, the shower block although grass filled always worked and the water was hot. The pub and shop although quite basic were very handy as there is nothing close by. We used the electric hook up in our tents for lighting and cooking. We have an 8 man tent that has two bedrooms, and were asked to pay for two pitches to put this tent on even though it fit fine on one pitch last year. The site said this was because campers last year thought there was not enough room between tents. The site's rules are that there is minimal noise during the day, and complete silence after 11pm. What that doesn't specify is that if you play any music before 11pm the other campers may complain (this did happen to me) and the warden who checks the site at 11pm will then give you a warning not to play music or make a noise or you will be asked to leave. So if you have teenagers or like to play music this may not be the site for you. However if you love peace and quiet you will find this site ideal.

Ive just come back from Waren mill. Despite the weather me and my daughter loved it, the toilet and shower room were lovely and clean and I loved the Idea of the washers and dryers. The lady on reception was very nice. We are definitely going back. The shop is not that expensive. We were a bit water logged but still had fun. I'm going to buy a bigger tent for the next time we go. The only thing was a couple of kids playing with the ball and hit my car and tent yet it tells you no ball games around the tents. But would recommend it to everyone. I will say it again we loved it. Hope I get better weather next time.

We stayed here for 8 nights. A good site with large kid's play area in centre with tourers surrounding it.
The toilet block was adequate. The cleaners were there at regular intervals throughout the day but they didn't seem to to be able to keep up with the muddy feet in the showers. Our pitch was right next to the block so it wasn't the quietest pitch although it wasn't a problem as it was our choice to choose a serviced pitch.
The site has a small 'heated' swimming pool but I don't think it was very heated as my daughter's lips were turning blue after playing in it!
Plenty to do in the area with Berwick to the north and Alnwick to the south and the small town of Seahouse about 5 miles away with a few tourist attractions. We had a meal in the 19th Hole Crazy Golf cafe and were amazed with size of the helpings.
We would certainly go back to Waren Mill again.

We chose this site based on its predominately good reviews and its location.
The main touring area is circular. There are also around 5 separate areas for statics. We thought that the majority of units were pitched too close to each other. Our neighbour on one side of us also commented on this and the fact that if a fire occurred some cars would actually struggle to get out.
The washblock was not to the standard we are used to. Although it was not visibly dirty, apart from the grass that had been walked in, you certainly did not feel it was that clean either.
The wet rooms were better and I used these twice, preferring to use our own end washroom for the majority of our stay.
The site states it has a takeaway but unfortunately they only serve food until 9pm. This meant that after an 8hr drive we were unable to get a hot meal on our first night. We didn't bother trying the bar or the restaurant.
We thought the shop was over priced as we paid £1.74 for a loaf of bread. There is however, a Co-op in Belford which is approx a 4 mile drive.
We had heavy rain on the Thursday night through to the Friday morning. When I opened the door to the awning I was shocked to discover that there was about 6 inches of water in it, especially as we'd paid extra for a hardstanding and fully serviced superior pitch. Our awning resembled a paddling pool!
The whole pitch was actually flooded and our jockey wheel was under water. The member of staff my husband spoke to said it had been worse the previous year. The 'vans either side of us were no-where near as bad and ours seemed to be the worse. We were offered a credit note but this was no good to us as having driven over 365 miles there is no way we'd be going back again this year!
Thankfully the sun came out so we packed up the awning (and several electrical items that are probably ruined) and decided to stay until the Saturday.
I think the only good points of this site are it's location and proximity to Bamburgh and the beautiful surrounding area.

Just returned from 5 days camping with family.
Great little swimming pool on site for kids and generally good facilities. Well stocked shop on site and staff very friendly.
Plenty of toilets and showers but generally not too clean!
Lovely views and just a short drive from Bamburgh beach (highly recommended). Farne Islands trip from Seahouses also highly recommended.
Quite noisy in the evening due to large groups with lots of (unsupervised) kids, but generally pretty quiet after 11pm.
Plenty of space for kids to play, with good playgrounds. Unfortunately the policy of no ball games on tent grounds totally unenforced by staff.
Small niggles really, a lot of people we spoke to had returned time and time again, overall I would recommend.

We stayed in a 2 bed static caravan for 2 weeks & I must say the caravan couldn't have been more perfect. It was brand new (2008 model) & just gorgeous inside - beautiful fitted kitchen, huge shower enclosure (no awful shower curtain!), top quality appliances & a huge living room area (which is great for a crawling 1 yr old!). It was truly a home from home & was more than we could have hoped for.
Great facilities in caravan - microwave, hairdryer, electric hoover, dvd player, tons of storage space, travel cot, highchair.
Caravan was immaculately clean as well.
We were in a perfect spot beside a small playpark - great for our 4 yr old as there were plenty of children for her to play with.
Site itself is lovely, nicely landscaped but at the same time quite natural looking. Splash pool was a bit cold but still great fun for kids.
Staff very friendly & helpful. Linen was changed once a week which was great. Site was nice & quiet at night which is what you want when you've got young children. Didn't have any trouble with noise/troublemakers.
Surrounding area just beautiful with lots to see & do. (Holy Island, Bamburgh, Alnmouth, Alnwick Castle etc).
Would definitely recommend this site - felt quite sad to leave (4 yr old in tears!)

This is the second time I have visited this site and I must say that the site is well looked after, the toilet block and washing facilities are very clean and tidy, I will recommend to all my friends to go here . The surrounding area has a lot of good historical places to visit like the holy island and the farn islands. The nearest shops are in sea houses, there are some in bamburgh. Getting back to the site the play area is well looked after

Excellent site. We stayed hear from the Friday to the Sunday. Had tried to book for the bank holiday weekend but couldn't get in. Only phoned this time to book the day before. Very pleased with the pitch. The site was still quite busy. Toilets were clean. Like some one else mentioned the dishwashing area could have more sinks as we had to wait sometimes for a free one. Big area in the middle of the touring park for children to play ball games and a small play area aswell.
The Pool was a big hit with the kids. It says it was heated but I think it was a bit cold. Very clean with a shallow end separate to the deep end joined together by slide down between them.
There is a small asmusment arcade next to the pool and a pub which serves food and takeaways.
Great walks on site for dogs with lovely views of Holy island and Budle bay.The beach close by is fantastic aswell.
Bamburgh castle is well worth a visit. The sight of this is amasing as you aproach by road.
We would definitely go back again soon.

Unfortunately, due to a rubbish tent, we didn't get our stay here but I had to write a review for the 2 hours we were on site! The staff at reception were so helpful, very friendly and very kind. We hadn't booked in advance (incorrect info from a friend!) but they did their best to accommodate us although they were fully booked and they did find us a very suitable plot to pitch the tent. We spent 2 hours in the rain trying to put up said tent but all the poles snapped! That's another story! We gave up and very wet, we went to reception to inform them we had to give up and go home and to thank them for being so helpful. They then offered us a full refund, which we were not expecting. The toilets were spotless and we were very impressed by what we did see and plenty of facilities, ie washing up basins etc. We are gutted we didn't get to stay but we will definitely be back when we buy a decent tent! 10 out of 10 guys!
