My husband and I went to this site to meet family, we were given a very friendly welcome. The pitch we were allocated was very nice, the toilets and showers were very clean with loads of hot water, we were very impressed with the shower block and washing area.
The site was very well kept, we didn't use the shop as this was being renovated when we went.

My partner and I fancied a weekend away and decided on here and how pleased we were!
The site was well kept, plenty of space, wonderful showers with underfloor heating.
We had hard standing with electric and pulled up, plugged everything and we were ready for a peaceful weekend.
Cromer and Sheringham are worth a visit, very good chips shops and plenty of small local shops and the fresh seafood is lovely.
Highly recommend this site and yes we will be visiting again

Just returned from our first weekend camping trip at Deers Glade. The Pitch we had was large and reasonably flat with a small little hedge around. Please note that these hedges have thorns, presumably to stop people going though them but this could be a problem with young children, be aware.Even for our Biarritz 9 tent (not the biggest but large enough) we still had plenty of space left. I had chosen this site partly for the fishing which for me was the downside as all I could catch was small tiddlers (not owning up to the fact I am a lousy fisherman) Joking aside this is a good site in very pleasant surroundings with very clean facilities and friendly owners. As we were only there for 2 days did not venture far because we didn't feel the need to do so. Worth walking out of the site and turning right and a few hundred yards down the road we came across a large group of deer in gunton park. This was worth going for alone.

This was the first time we have been to Deers Glade we will be going back often. The toilets were always being cleaned while we were there and spotless. Play area looked nice and well kept although we have no small children. Staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble, we had a pitch up by the fishing lake very large and well kept. The site shop is also reception and they do only keep basics, also you can get internet access card by the weekend and very well priced. We were left to get on with our break but staff were always available if needed. There was no excess noise after dark. The whole site is well kept and very clean. If you need pubs, chips shops etc., they are all not too far away.

We only live up the road from this site but thought we would try it for a night away from home. We pitched our tent near the lake, which was nice, although there was a boggy/sewage smell around this area from time to time, which was slightly off putting when eating our bbq food!
The shower/toilet block was nice (& warm at 5.30am!), although after reading the other reviews on here I was expecting it to be spotless - I didn't think it was & it didn't really seem to have a proper clean for the 24 hours we were on the site.
This site is great if you like walking - there are plenty of walks in the woods & surrounding areas. We would definitely go back again for that night away from home, although I would maybe go at a less busier time as there were a few too many kids running around & screaming for my liking but that's my own opinion.
In general, I would like campsites to put a restriction on how much noise can be made in the morning as well as the evening. We were woken at 5am onwards by people talking - I work & would like to have a little lie-in on a Sunday morning!

I recently stopped at Deers Glade as the concluding night of a week of camping around the country, and despite the weather (I brought the rain with me), it was a very pleasant end to a great week.
The site staff were very helpful, and personally showed me to my pitch (maybe I just looked shifty).
The ground was level, firm but easily pegged, and the site was well laid out, with probably a 50/50 mix of tents and touring caravans.
The site facilities are excellent. Clean and well maintained, with an on site shop for essentials. There's also a fishing lake on site.
My only doubt would be that given 2 showers and two toilets in the amenities block, it may be a bit of a contest at peak times. However, it was no problem during my stay. The prices are also very reasonable, being a mere fraction of the cost of many much less pleasant sites. One night for myself was £10.
The site is well placed for visits to Cromer, Norwich, and the coastal North East Anglia.
The pitches are pretty well sheltered, and even after a night of constant heavy rain, the ground didn't turn into the usual mudbath that you all too often find, so drainage seems pretty good.
The site is also very child friendly with a playpark in the centre.
Overall, a nicely located and well maintained and organised site, well worth a visit.

I have just spent 4 days at this site I loved it.
The owners work way too hard to keep everybody happy. It was the week before Aug bank holls and the site was very busy but this was still no problem the showers were never more than 2 in the queue. The wind picked up but at night but the pitches were sheltered ok the grass was now suffering a bit as it is late in the season but this was ok as the weather was fine so no mud.
The little kids on the site went mad all day in the play area but were in bed by 9 oclock so no noise. The fishing set were at it 18 hours a day & seemed to catch some fish and were not at all disturbed by anybody else. Overall a well run and good campsite we loved it the price was great even after a 4 & 1/2 drive in & a 7 hour drive home we would go again.

We had an overnight stay to enable us to pitch our new tent. Tent was fantastic and so was the site. The toilets and showers were excellent and the overall cleanliness second to none. The campsite owners and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely a site to revisit for a longer break. The site was situated a long way from the main road so there was no traffic noise. We pitched in the tent area which is away from the electric hook ups but we were still within easy reach of the toilet block. There are 2 blocks on either side of the site so there is concern in having to walk too far for your morning shower. There is a play area for the children and fishing is available on site too.

We spent 6 days and 5 nights at this camp and caravan site and I have to say it has been AMAZING!
The toilets were clean,
The showers were very refreshing after a day of activities,
The lake had plenty of fishies from different species.
We caught carp, roach and tench.
The pond was beautifully aranged of different ranges of ducks and birds.
The playground was very fun, and was always busy, although it could be bigger a play area with things such as swings and things for older kids.
Night time is lovely, just to sit under the stars is wonderful.
One night we went for a meal at Alby Horse Shoe Inn and the food and service was great.
The first day we rode to comer on our bikes, it was tiring but very fun for a nice family day out. And it was helpful that they hired baby seats and tandems for our younger kids.
And if your an adventure family, we suggest hilltops for archery, mountain biking, zip lines etc. It was fun and kept the kids quiet.
The staff at deers glade were kind and cheerfull and worked very hard.
The kids were upset to leave and so were we!
We advise this place for anyone,
Very quiet at night and eco friendly :)

We have just returned from our 2nd stay at Deers Glade. We went there last year for our first ever family camping trip and thought it was so lovely we would go back there again this summer.
Although it is a nice rural site this year we saw the negatives more than the positives:
The positives:
-Friendly staff /owner
-On site shop - basic items
-Clean toilet/shower blocks
-There are large tents pitches available
-Easy to get to off A140
-Rural setting
-Only 5 miles to drive to beach
The negatives:
-Dim lighting in shower block - makes shaving difficult
-Often had to queue for the shower and when I was in the shower felt had to be really quick as knew others were waiting as so few showers and site was full!
-Poor drainage under water tap
-Very noisy - mainly due to children playing on park till late but also another party allowed to pitch a gazebo right near our tent and stay chatting/drinking till midnight!
-Although large tent pitch not much distance across to other tents compared to another site we have stayed at
-Rubbish bins always seemed to be overflowing
-Washing up - I never had to queue but on 3 occasions saw people getting annoyed at having to wait
I would say this site is ideal if you have slightly older children that you wish to go over to the park without you and make friends and you are not bothered to settling down to a relaxing evening. I found myself getting worked up by the amount of noise. There are apparently live on site wardens but if so, surprised they do not make a point of saying no noise at the park after a certain time.
Would consider in years to come the Muntjac Meadow which looked much more tranquil and spacious and is located across the road.
