Absolutely excellent, first class site.
Owners and staff work real hard and keep the site in excellent tip top condition. Grass and grounds kept neat and tidy. Toilets are spotless, cleanest toilets I have ever been in and I am fussy. Owners and staff most helpful.
Hope the guests really appreciate their hard work and help keep it clean and tidy. There is no shop on site or in Knayton, although there is choice of supermarkets in Thirsk. Advise to take really good strong pegs as the ground can be hard. Owners let us borrow some which was much appreciated. Site is real quiet and peaceful.
The local pub The Dog & Hound in Knayton is great, really good food and kept clean. Staff are very friendly, advise booking as it can be popular. Good choice of Pubs and good food availble in Thirsk and surrounding areas. Will certainly return to this site again, highly recommended.

What a lovely peaceful site. It was great to hear birdsong and kids playing instead of music blaring and shattering the peace. The site will get even better once the newly planted trees, shrubs and pond mature. Swipe card exit / entry for security. Childrens play area, away from the pitches but in view, small but kept our 8 year old more than busy, along with a large field for ball games, a great little walk along the stream and pond. There is a great, and new, adventure playground in Knayton village. Toilet/showers & pot wash area spotless, the site owners worked 'til around 9pm cleaning the toilet block and maintaining grassed areas. The small nigly negatives for me are; I feel a small shop on site for essentials would come in very handy as the nearest town is Thirsk,a bit far to nip out to get a newspaper and some milk as the village has no shop either. The showers although hot are push button so you need to keep it pressed for a sufficent amount of water and there is more of a spray than a shower. Don't forget the key for the toilet block a regular occurrence for the first 24 hrs. All in all a good site and we'll probably visit again.

Well what can we add. Just after we booked our pitch way back in May, Pat was on the phone just making sure we knew exactly where to go and that if there was anything else do not hesitate to phone. First impressions means a lot and over the phone she sounded so cheery. So it came as no surprise that when we arrived, we got a fantastic welcome from her and Chris. Felt like she already knew us. On arrival the scenery was just great, well secured entrace the site which is at the back of the farm house. Amazing pitches and well set out, each all serviced. Fortunately, our pitch was right in front of the play area, which you would very near fit Wembley stadium in to. Our kids being 5 and 2 meant that they had heaps of space to run wild and still able to see them all the time. The shower blocks are in immaculate condition. Nice having them heated, as you could basically drip dry. Although, my wife found the pressures in the shower to be rather low for her to wash out the so called bubbles in her hair! No worries for us blokes eh! Even although Knayton village has no shops, Thirsk is only and only 5 minutes up the dual carrage way 1 mile from the site. So no real issues there. Every one on the site was friendly, and after speaking to a few they are previous visitors, and I can see why. There is so much to do with in an hours drive, so much so that the 2 weeks we were there we ran out of days

Our congratulations to chris and pat for all there hard work on keeping such a beautiful site we totally agree with all the other comments made. There are no fish in the lake yet. Lots of quiet back roads for cycling, hilly to the east, flat to the west
One very minor criticism for us the toilet block was too hot. Going back in august for 2 weeks can't wait

A Lovely site in beautiful surroundings ! Facilities are excellent, Fishing lake, children's play area which is set away from the caravans but in view so you can watch your kids, ideal for a relaxing break. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. I will certainly be returning again cant fault it on anything.

We just can not get enough of this wonderful site. Just had another fantastic weekend here and booked again in a fortnights time. I can not stress enough just how nice it is here and how helpful and friendly the owners are. The pub down the road is a healthy 2 mile walk but worth it for a nice pint of Black Sheep and the real home made chips. If you like a noisy rowdy site do not bother this place is so relaxing and peaceful. Looking forward to staying again.

This was our first trip out in our brand new caravan & it was an absolute pleasure! The site is fantastic. We had a super pitch with our own water, electric, waste drainage & tv point. The toilet block is pristine & with the underfloor heating very toastie when showering! The children's play area is great with plenty of space. The owner was so friendly & welcoming on arrival & always available when needed. We will definitely return!

Fantastic! what can I say - it has the cleanest toilet block we have ever seen no matter what time of day you went. The owners are so friendly. Great play area and separate dog walking areas. Huge field space for ball games. Laundry room has everything you could want. Possibly the best site we have been to yet! So much so we have placed our name down for a seasonal pitch! well done Hillside you deserve it !

Well what can we say ??? This place is fantastic. Never met such friendly people. The site is absolutely immaculate with fantastic views, spacious and well laid out pitches with tv and sky hook up points as well as toilet emptying drain. The toilet and shower blocks are immaculate at all times and even have under floor heating and free hair dryers, laundry room has everything you need. There is a even a dog walking route on site. There has been a lot of thought gone into this site and it is a credit to its owners. Stayed for a week and will be staying another when we get the chance. A+
