we visited this site by accident in may,after driving out of two sites we was at a loss where to go.4 boys getting stressed in the back of the car,coming across this site was like landing at heavens gate! as our youngest son said at the end of the holiday "this place rocks!" he is only 6.my 14 year old son and his mate also found plenty to do(girls didn't come into it really!). other than the drinks being expensive in the club(£2 a pint of coke! needless to say vodka ended up in it!). there was only 4 showers in the toilet block,but they were as well maintained as could be despite little children.in fact l must complement the couple, especially the lady who did an excellent job of maintaining the camping ,caravaning site. the facilities were great and yes i'd go back like a shot, despite their lousy excuse for campers not to use the electric hook-ups, but l coped, l was brave!!!!it is easy to get to, grange-over-sands is beautiful, and the great lakes a short drive away. the may/june offer of 2 nights for the price for one really helped spread the pennies allowing the children more spending money in the camp site arcade (it was me really l love those 2 penny machines!)look out summer , were coming back, friends and family included.(this time we supply our own booze?!) one last point, so long as dogs were kept under control you could have them with you on the campsite.remember to clear it after you though!? horse riding was adjacent to the tenting area for an extra cost so if that is your thing make sure you have plenty of money, the same goes for sky diving which is situated next door to the site. give the place a try, its the best we've been to in 6 years of camping. i'm dreaming of the beautiful static caravans, how can i convince my husband to part with his cash?????

This was our second visit to this site.
The reason we chose this one again was because the facilities on offer really meet the needs of our teenage children.
Firstly, we were offered 2 nights for the price of one (30 quid for 2 nights), I can't refuse a bargain! Included in the price is full use of all the facilities which include: indoor and outdoor swimming pools, daily and nightly entertainment programme, satellite T.V., football pitch etc., etc.,
The location of the site is within easy reach of the Lake District's main attractions - Windermere, Grizedale and so on.
The site is easy to get to - Off M6 at J36, straight through Grange and you're there!
Lakeland Leisure Park itself is well looked after - it has the potential for being neglected and run down - but this is definitely not the case. Garden areas and buildings are well maintained.
My only gripe would be (and this was the case on our first visit also) that the toilet blocks were not quite as clean as they might have been, but with so many young children using them unsupervised I suppose this was to be expected.
The touring pitches were grassy, flat and well-defined. Plenty of room for awnings (we used a tent instead) and car. Toilets were within easy reach.
It was quiet at night after 11pm, which we like.
We would definitely go to Lakeland again for all of the reasons above.
