Went with a group of 15 friends mainly couples, We arrived on Thurday lunchtime to find the campsite virtually deserted. We pitched up close together on the cliff top with a great view out to sea and over to Scarborough. As we were a large group we were concerned that we would be too noisy and made extra effort to keep the noise down. By Friday Night the campsite was filling up nicely lots of groups and family groups with children, with the amount of noise made into the early hours our group was tame compared to most. A few campers found it acceptable to pump music out of their cars at full blast until late on and after visiting the toilet at 1am I walked passed the playground to find it as busy as it was in the daytime - this is not a good campsite for a quiet get away, but ideal for large groups and family groups!
Toilets/showers were for most of the time clean and always had hot water, my only criticism is that the toilet block is a treck away from the camping field and in the middle of the static caravans.I have no idea why? The pot wash was clean but had no hot water until the last day, despite telling them twice.
The site has access to the beach down the cliff with the aid of a rope, this was fun but would be virtually impossible with children and good footwear is a must, what made the descent really worth it was the seals who were as interested in us as we we're in them. The site is ideal for trips into Scarborough and filey where the nearest easy access beach in.

This was our first attempt at camping so really didn't know what we were letting ourselves in for.
We pitched up and had nearly the whole field to choose from (the electric hookups were busy though so I suppose you have to book those in advance). You can pitch near the sea where there's a great view out or near the kid's playground. We managed to park the car and pitch the tent next to it, which was very handy. The kid's playground was just in front of us so the kids were happy playing and making friends while we pitched the tent without them bothering us!
The toilet/shower block is further down on site where the caravans are so I think it was too far away in the night. The showers were drippy and cold and poorly drained so there's nowhere dry to get dressed. Wasn't very impressed with them. The whole block looks a bit run down.
The clubhouse was alright- the beer wasn't cheap but not terribly expensive. They had live music on Saturday night and it was a punk band and they were fantastic! It made the weekend for all of us- my 7 year old was playing his air guitar for 2 hours solid, and my 10 year old son and 11 year old niece enjoyed it too. Honestly they were one of the best bands I've ever seen. It was great to be able to take kids out and have an enjoyable night out for all of us that doesn't involve cheesy dances and stupid furry characters.
There was a conservatory area adjacent to the main bar area where the band were playing and we came with some friends who sat in there because they could take their dogs in. When the baby was tired later on it was a nice place for her to be asleep in her pushchair.
The site fees were worth it was the band alone. We would definitely go again. If the showers/toilets were a bit closer to the tent area and refurbished that would be much better though!

We are members of the South Yorkshire Touring Caravan Club and took 13 caravans to the site at a subsidised rate. The only downside of the site are the pitches are too small for larger units and we had to do a bit of juggling with the allocated plots.
We only went into the bar one evening and found it very pleasant in the lounge area. There is also another bar where bands are on Fri & Sat
The swimming pool is great cost £2 per person all day.
The shower blocks were cleaned every day and the showers had constant hot water.
Hopefully we are going back next year with more vans.

Forth time to this site. This time for the full 2 days there was ice cold water in the washing up area. Showers are luke warm and are more of a dribble than a shower. Dog poo bins were overflowing as were the bin area.
Having said that we still had great weekend. Fish and chip shop is second to none and the lady is very helpful sharing her knowledge of the area.
We visited the pool for the first time and it is very clean and warm. The play area is big and well kept. Found out this time that dogs are allowed in the very large bars conservatory, and they open the patio doors, so you can enjoy the turn. And the turn was out of this world.
The bar is pricey however at £2.80 a pint of lager. The beach on camp is too hard to get down to with kids and dogs, loads of nettles and very over grown, so you loose the track easy. However if you go to cliff edge and bear left, there is a nice walk approx half hour to cayton bay.
Car booty on a sunday very close to camp. Spar garage just outside camp is 24/7 and sells alcohol tent field is sloped in areas, but not too bad. Would recommend this site.

Found Crows Nest very clean and tidy. Shop was well stocked, entertainment very good, fish and chip shop ok. Ideal location for Scarborough and Bridlington. The only downfall was the touring toilets pretty grotty, needs a facelift. It was may bank holiday and very busy but could still get a seat in the campsite pub, not a lot to do for kids 12 and 15. Overall we really enjoyed our time here. Would we go back again yes we would without the kids!

Found the site to be well kept and areas clean and tidy. Facilities good for size of site but could imagine could be crowded in high season. Showers clean and never had to wait.
Tent pitches with electric hook up which we used right next to play park which was good for our son age 8.
Plenty of places to visit in the area. Overall a good first time experience and would visit again.

Arrived for 2 night stay, First impressions were very good not many tourers on, so plenty of space to pitch up and have a go at the awning, pitch we had was serviced so great not to have to muck on with the water hogs. Toilet / shower block first class warm and clean.
Bar on site good, take-away open short hours at this time of year (be warned chips £1-20 which is good, but if you want a pastie / pasty with that it will be £4-20). Overall great site with lots to do on site and round about.
Will return in the summer as I rate this a good base to explore North Yorkshire from

Arrived here for the second time. This time we was one of 5 or 6 tents. Pitched on the top field right by the playground. The part that we were on was a bit slopped, and windy, but not too bad.
There are bin areas and drinking water blocks right near the tent field. The bins were never overflowing. The water in the pot wash was ice cold on the first night when I went to wash up, but my hubby went on the second day and he said it was luke warm.
The shower block was very clean and presentable with 5 or 6 showers, all varying in sprays and heat. You have to drop lucky to get warm and a good flow.
We arrived on a friday night and after we pitched up I went to the shop to find it closed, this was most disappointing as it was only half 6. However there is a spar shop just outside camp that is 24 hours.
The chip shop on camp is friendly and the fish was gorgeous. Didn't use the club or the pool as have dogs, but both looked ok. The play park I would say is the selling point.
A large play park for the kids to play on and its where they meet up with all the other kids. However no lighting if you are sat out late. Did call to the shop next day and it did sell a good variety of things and reasonable priced.
The beach right by site is not very good, but you can weak left out of camp and right along the top for about half hour and you come to a gorgeous beach. Is ok for a night or 2, but any more and we would be bored. I probably would visit this site again.

Our family stayed over the easter bank holiday,
First impressions were of a very busy site, with not much space between each pitch, we had booked 2 hardstanding pitches so we made best use of our space which were directly opp the toilet and shower block which was to our advantage as having 2 young children (3 and 6). They were cleaned reg and although showers were on the small side they were always hot and free.
The children's play park is quite away from the tourers, but is fine for the little bit older children but not much for our 3yr old.
The swimming pool was lovely and warm and both our kids loved it there's a small charge £2 each under 5's free which I didn't mind as there was always a life guard on the the pool side and made sure the children were using the slide safely, the shop was very well stocked with a wide range of things from everyday items to toys and gifts and well priced too,
All in all had a good family holiday even if weather wasn't on our side.
The site is located 15mins from bridlington, and only 5 mins from filey and Scarborough.

We have used crows nest for the last 5 years sometimes several times in a year. We have a six man tent which in summer we don't have electric so we try to get a pitch near the cliff edge, as the view is great and in winter we have electric near the playground, which my 3 boys love.
The toilet blocks are cleaned regular, thry are small but serve the purpose as you are on a camping holiday. The shop is well stocked and is well priced, the chip shop is very nice and as in shop the staff are polite and friendly.
The pool is small but lovely and warm and costs only 2 pounds a person. There is a small games room for children but the best part is the bar, the entertainment is great, they have bands on most of the time in the back and in the front they have pool tables and tvs. The prices are standard pub prices.
All in all the site is well maintained and the prices are cheap we have just come back after hireng a caravan which was very clean and cost us £200 for 4 days
