July 2005 We used Burn's Farm when visting the annual Convention at Keswick, and found it very convenient for travelling to and from Keswick.
The site itself was great, whilst some pitches did seem to be quite squashed together, most of the pitches seemed adequate. Showers wash facilities etc were always immaculate (often cleaned twice a day), they were slightly small for the size of site, but showering last thing at night, or at obscure time during the day seemed to beat the queue.
Owners were very helpful, and always seemed to be on hand to help.
All in all a very enjoyable holiday and we'll definitely return in the future.

Although the owner is very nice and the site in a beautiful location, she does like to pack them in. This puts a terrible strain on the facilities which are inadequate for the number of people on site. The worst was the bins which were became full again one day after being emptied. This meant that there were mounds of rubbish all around the bins for several days. There was also long queues for showers, washing up etc and even problems parking as most of the site was covered in tents and caravans sited so close together there was no room to park your car.
The views from the site are lovely and there are walks from your tent. The location is also good for getting into Keswick for excellent shopping and eating. There are also 2 very good pubs doing food in Threlkeld about a mile from the site.

March 2005 There seemed to be a lot more than 32 pitches - well at least, we were all crammed in close!! The water in the nice new showers wasn't hot and, to be honest, I'd rather pay a small fee and have it hot! Lovely people running the site but it is unlikely we'll be camping there again. Having said that, the self catering cottages look very nice!!
