Deer Glade is definitely the nicest site we have stayed on. Facilities excellent and always emaculately clean. Owners Heather and David always on the go and very friendly, as with all staff. Pitches were superb, huge space. Also very reasonable prices.
Site surrounded by woods and very quiet.
Beautiful walks around area, in woods.
Small fishing pond on site (didn't use it, but others did).
Will definitely be back next year.

Have returned home after a 4 night stay. We had a relaxing stay and found the site staff helpful and friendly, shower/toilet blocks always well stocked with toilet rolls. The washing up area was clean and under cover. The site was always clean and spotless. Children enjoyed the freedom and the play park. We tried to stay an extra night but our pitch was booked up. Definitely will be returning next year.

We had 2 nights at this campsite and agree totally with all the lovely comments about it - its the biggest site we've stayed on and our kids (2, 7, 8) were safe and amused with the play area. The toilet blocks are extremely clean with handwash - there is even a hairdryer for all to use. We were no electric hook up and didn't want to be near the lake so had a nice pitch tucked far enough away for us to let the little one roam a bit without worrying - it is very friendly - they had a hog roast on the saturday night for everyone. A lovely part of the country to visit and we'd recommend it!

Just visited Muntjac Meadow, field provided by Deers Glade for month of August only. Had wonderful 7 days on site. Campers left to own devices and can pitch wherever you please. Shower blocks small however modern and kept clean all through the day.
Plenty of room for children to play. Short walk through woods to Deer Glade site. Hog roast a must on the Saturday night.
Camfire on Muntjac Meadow every night was a lovely experience. Marshmallows a must with mug of hot chocolate. My only concern we had was other families allowing their children to play around the fire unsupervised.
A fabulous site a shame only available in august. Will be booking for next year.

A nice site with good facilities as has been mentioned by most reviewers. My only complaint though would be the noise at night. The 11pm minimum noise rule is not enforced at all.
Every night we were kept awake till 2am by people in a large green tent sitting round a firepit. (I strongly suspect we were pitched near to the previous reviewer). We then got woken at 6am by the early risers heading to the showers.
I don't think it helps when the camp fire goes on till 12.30pm as this means those returning are then in and out the toilets and washing up area.
This unfortunately has really put us off a second visit, even though we had no complaints with the rest of the site.

Shhhh, don't tell anyone about this place! We have just returned from a wonderful six days and are already looking forward to returning. Our six year old wanted to stay after having a fantastic 'freedom' holiday. Great facilities, staff are brilliant, wildlife abundant (goodness knows how many froglets, water voles, early morning herons, butterflies etc we encountered!) We were next to the lake which allowed us a large pitch. We were very spoilt with space and were almost disgruntled when someone pitched up near us! Our children didn't want to leave the site and were happy playing for hours. We also visited the Muntjac Meadow for the evening fire which was an experience for the children. Toasting marshmallows made the week complete! If I had one small complaint it would be nothing to do with the site, staff or facilities but with other people not being considerate with their noise. Yes people in the big green tent, camping is fab, but sitting around a firepit until two in the morning with your kids running around is not!

Wow. Excellent site. The toilet and showers are the best we have had in 10 yrs of caravanning. No wonder there is a sign requesting that customers do not take too long in the showers - they are great !
Friendly staff, all of them. Great little shop that stocks most things - with fresh bread every day.
Good dog walks, boarding kennels on the site, so handy if you want a day ( or night) out.
Well laid out, with fruit bushes, shrubs etc dividing lots of the pitches.
Would definitely return.

We stayed for 2 night on this site.
We arrived very early but as a pitch was empty we was allowed to pitch our tent.
We were on pitch number 2 which was ideal for us as it was near to toilet block and play area, which our children (8 and 5) loved as they could go on there own.
The toilet and shower blocked were always clean as was the washing up area.
The staff were helpful and very friendly.
This site had a lovely feel about and we will definitely be going back.

We had one night at this site in July 2009, with 2 children aged 2 and 4 and a dog. We were novices to camping and glad we picked such a brilliant park for our first trip. The pitch (with electric hook up) was huge - about 13 metres squared - so we had plenty of room to pitch the tent as well as sit outside and let the children run around.
The toilet and shower block (there are 2 on site) was very impressive, equipped with 2 showers, 2 cubicles with sinks and about 5 toilets. They were immaculately clean and well stocked the whole time we were there. There was also a hairdryer. The washing up facilities were very good, with lovely clean sinks and draining boards. There was a laundry, which we didn't use, but looked good. The play park was quite small, but adequate for our children to play in. The fishing lake provided a nice walk for us and the dog, but there were also lots of other walks from the site to go on.
The shop only stocked the bare essentials, but we went to a Tesco in Aylesham which was only about 5/10 min drive from the site for our bottle of wine!
The camp was quiet and relaxing and I heard no noise from about 10.30pm onwards - even from dogs barking and there were many people with dogs there!
We would definitely go back again and again!

Just returned from a two night stay at Deers Glade, introducing our neighbours and their 2 1/2 year old son to the fabulous life of camping. We have visited Deers Glade before and felt this to be the perfect site for their first experience. They enjoyed it so much they are now planning on buying a tent for themselves.
Although we had a few torrential downpours this did not stop our enjoyment. The Hog Roast on Saturday evening was lovely but I would recommend you queue early as it soon runs out.
Shower block - have to say cleanest, warmest I have ever come across. My friend couldn't get over the under floor heating.
Love this site and will definitely return again and again. I find no negatives to this site.
