July 2004 This site is superb, the pitches are spacious, the facilities are spotless and Jean the owner a delight. She is friendly and helpful. The tip she gave us for catching the train into Edinburgh saved us the hassle of a short drive and finding car parking, along with the advice on where to sightsee and eat out nearby. This was meant to be a one night stop over on our way North but ended up being at the site for two nights both ways. Definately a well deserved recommendation to anyone.

July 2004 We normally only stay on a site one or two nights before getting itchy feet - we stayed here four nights! Spotless toilets / laundry block / dish washing facilities of a very high standard. Friendly and courteous greeting from helpful owner. Dogs very welcome and good walking facilities. The Chinese restaurant and carryout nearby is also well worth a visit as is the pizza / chipper in Mid Calder (think its called Antonios or something similar). Definitely to be recommended.

July 2004 Have just returned from a weeks holiday at this site and what a wonderful site. The site is only about 7 miles from Edinburgh and close to Mid-Calder where there are a few small shops, restaurants and take-aways. The site is exceptionally well run and clean with each pitch having plenty of space. The showers and toilet facilities are immaculate. Jean the owner is so helpful and advised on where to park free and what buses to get into Edinburgh. You can order bread, milk and papers from her and they are ready to pick-up from reception by 8am, the fresh free range eggs where delicious. I would definately recommend this site to anybody going to Edinburgh.
