Just to echo other reviewers thoughts. This is a truly excellent campsite. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners Paul and Lyndsey who were very friendly. Even though it was fairly full (book quickly folks - this is a well kept secret!) with a large party of walkers, you wouldn't know it. The showers and toilets were spotless and the water was always hot. The site is perfect for adults seeking peace and quiet and stunning views of Derbyshire. We'll certainly be going back again very soon.

If you like Q U I E T then this is the site for you. Excellent facilities and outstandind views. Staff were very efficient and helpful although not over-friendly. Good base for exploring the peaks.

Thankfully we found this to be a superb site. Paul & Lindsey were very friendly, courteous and helpful, the toilets were spotlessly clean, the showers piping hot and most importantly the peace and tranquillity was sublime.This was our first taste of an “Adults Only” location, but rest assured it won’t be the last, and certainly not the last at Longnor.

myself , my huband and our two friends visited this site for the first time, in april 2003. we found the new owners were very helpfull and friendly, and also knew a great deal about camping from first hand experience.
we enjoyed it so much, we are going back for a second visit at the end of june 2003
looking forward to it, all four of us. by the way, loved the camp fire

Where do I begin. This is a beautiful site that myself and my girlfriend have fallen in love with. The facilties are clean and tidy and the site itself is set in some of the most beautiful countryside I have seen (outside the Yorkshire Dales). Whilst the on-site shop is fairly basic the people running it are extremely helpful and friendly. The site is adults only so is therefore very peacefull. If your looking for some peace & quiet in a relaxing setting (great after walking through the local area) give it a try - I doubt you will be disappointed.
