 We stayed one night here to go to the racing at Thirsk .Excellent site with superb facilities. Owner very helpful tried to get us a taxi to the races at Thirsk but unsuccessful so she ran us into Thirsk herself with instructions to phone if we couldn't get a taxi back and gave us a long list of telephone numbers. We managed to get a taxi back at a cost of £10.
Shower block spotlessly clean .Very quiet campsite , would definitely stay here again if in the area,can thoroughly recommend this site if you want peace and tranquility in outstanding countryside. All pitches were hardstanding with everything you needed on each pitch, water, electrics, TV point solar powered light etc.

Stayed here at Easter this year (2007) was a bit put off by lots of children, need not have worried as the play area is far enough away, the children cannot be heard but can easily be seen. Toilets were super although a short timer on the shower was a bit of a pain but lots of hot water. Peaceful and well managed., owners very helpful. Good pitches which had own water and waste. No idea about tv we never take one. I would recommend this site to anyone, will return in the future.

Had our first visit to this Site and enjoyed the experience. Well placed just off the A.19 & through the Village of Knayton. The Lane from the Village to the Site is single track with ample passing places and a reasonably quiet Road. The Site is in a lovely setting overlooking the Hambleton Hills & Moors - very peaceful. The friendly owners (former Farmers & Caravaners) have developed this Site to the highest level. Hard-standing Pitches, with EH, Waste Water Outlet, Drinking Water, TV & Sat Connections. Excellent Shower Block (not too keen on push button Shower timer though - was set a little too sensitively)! Not cheap at £20 per Night off Season but it is a quality Site. They already have quite a few Seasonal Pitches allocated & I can see why. (Electric entry gates for added security). Nice Pub in Village (reasonably priced Bar Meals). Would definitely visit again.
