I have to disagree with CMAJOR the site is fab, wide open flat space. Never had a cold shower or had to wash up in cold water. Kids were out from getting up on a morning till it went dark at night.
Owners Rob & Jill were great, really helpful checked site at least twice a day. Toilets and showers were cleaned everyday, a few spiders but hey it is the countryside, great scenery, all round great place - a must for low priced camping. Elec hook ups avaiable, ice pack freezing too, only 20p each, even the dog was made welcome.

Good large site with plenty of room between the pitches.
Good base for visiting the "borders".
The facilities were basic but clean. Most pitches are on sloping ground but nothing too drastic.

Lovely field site with a few hard standing pitches - plenty of space for kids to play without being on top of other units - nice clean warm showers - evertything you need in Wooler village and good recommendation for pub grub at the Percy Arms in nearby Chatton.

When we first arrived at the site we were very impressed (gas on site, children’s play area, hard standing). Only 300 metres to a CO-OP (Open till late) and local bars and cafes. However the ground was really hard. The toilet block (three showers and four toilets)was new, however if you like cold showers then this is the site for you. I never had a warm shower this also goes for the wash up area for dishes too.
