We have just come back from northam farm, have been going there for afew years, lovely site, lots of hardstandings all level for caravans,,there are large places for tents. We stay on the waterside pitches and premier pitches , next to the large fishing lakes, it si so peaceful there and lovely place for watching all the 'feather' birds ! lots breeding this time of year and wander around freely,
Nice dog walks on site, or walk to the beach, its outside the main entrance and straight across the road there in minutes, or if you want to take the car you can further down take the car on the beach.
A excellent place to visit and walk is drive to brean down right at the bottom of the hill and walk up lots of steps and out to the old fort, its all free and excellent walk see for miles on a clear day. All part of national trust and well worth a visit even with a pushchair its accessible.
During the summer close by there are mamouth markets.
We love this site very clean and dog friendly, and staff are all friendly, toilets were clean for females but hubby says you get a few people, who just leave the loos absolutely disgusting(hope there own loos at home not like that) but the staff clean the toilets twice a day and we have never had any problems,One negative is the windows are always open in the showers(well until I get there! then I shut them as its a bit draughty when drying yourself!
We love the site as its quiet and use it as a place where you dont need to spend much money if you dont want to, just walking or chilling out watching the ducks and rabbits and the world go by. Or off site a pool and seagull club, which does sell lovely food, a ice cream man does come on site every night and well worth trying his delicious specials
Recommend to anyone, and if you want to come back for a couple of week ends one after the other, they will store your van on the grass for 3.00 per night, its safe never seen any problems and you find that fellow campers and caravaners keep an eye on your van while they holiday and you go home.

We visited Northam Farm last year for my Birthday in our old TT. Spent 10 days there, and on the whole I have to agree with all of the reviews. Very friendly staff, huge well kept site, plenty of space between units for awning / windbreaks etc. We werent escorted to a pitch as some have said (We have visited twice and it has never happened) but we had no problem finding one and settling down.
Always found the showers to be warm, however, for 50p I would expect them to be cleaner (towards the end of the day they tended to be quite dirty) and the fact that the windows are contastly open means you have a breeze round your bits when getting dry!
We found the Seagull a bit OTT and tacky for us - but it would be excellent for kids. We found a lovely pub called 'The Place' above the parade of shops opposite Pontins. Excellent food, brilliant staff and really nice atmosphere.
We also found that 10 days in Brean a little repetetive - again, if you have kids they will love it, but for us it became a bit tedious.

Our first visit to this site and not our last. The site is much bigger than we had anticipated, but it is very well run, you are met and taken to your pitch, we went over a bank holiday and were still offered a choice of pitches. We stayed in the dog free field. This had a play area and a football field in very close proximity.
The shower block was the cleanest and most well presented that we have ever seen, and well worth the 50p a shower.
The chip shop was reasonable as was the shop.

Stayed here Easter 2008 with the wife, two kids (5 and 8) and two heaters. This is a massive site and kept lovely and clean, the pitch was soggy but hey it was March. The reception staff are very friendly, once booked in you are then shown to a field either EHU, dog free etc and you then pick from the pitches left on that field. I did feel this site is geared more to caravans but once again it was March and there were only 3 other tents on the site (hundreds of caravans).
The showers are very luxurious and kept really clean but on the negative side cost 50p and are very fiddly as you can not choose the temperature. While on the negative a few issues I had with this site when I visited the website I thought all the facilities where on site or near by but are not so you end up paying for them, swimming pool especially and the fun fair you need tokens, at 50p each, they advertise at the fair each ride is an average of 3 tokens but some you need seven, the go karts are more. There is no amusement arcade on site.
The shop is well stocked and quite well priced there is also a chip shop and laundry room, with irons, but we did not use these. The beach is over the road and down a bit and next to the club, the Seagull. If you are on the bottom field, as we was, it can be a trek and you can end up driving but hey the positives out way the negatives the club is fantastic for kids entertainment, starts about 7ish and then followed by the adults act which were all excellent (The kids love Ozzy). The drinks are on the expensive side, a pint of Carling costs £2.65.
Overall this is lovely site and will return in the future, Brean and it’s beaches are breath taking.

Spent Easter here. Lovely site, helpful and pleasant staff, very organised. We couldnt get a hard standing so ended up with grass. The pitch was bit soggy and we needed to be towed off. Shop and chippy fine and the entertainment (seagull) although a short walk up the road was ok. There is no swimming pool here and felt it would be a good investement. The toilet block we used (non dog field 5) was new and clean although we didn't see a cleaner for the 4 days over the weekend they were ok, only negative was the showers got cold in the evening, the room needed doors to keep it warm and if your 50p ran out it meant a trip in your towel to put some more in.
Overall this is a well kept site, close to Bridgewater / Weston and Bristol. Well worth a visit.

We have a small rascall motorhome and we are new to touring, so we used the weekend to go to Burnham-on-Sea unfortunately the weather was not good but never mind. We were stuck for some were to pull up for the night, we asked a gentelman in the post office and he said try Northam they have a caravan show on but just ask, The security man called john told us that they were not open yet but it would not be a problem they took us to the disabled parking as I am not to good on my legs we were just a short walk from the showers and toilets which I think are great, and were made very welcome we will be going again and would like to thank all the staff for there hostpitality its a great place.

This is a great site. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pitches are a good size and well marked out. The toilet and showers were very clean, hot water plentiful. 50p charge for a shower, but well worth it! Children's play area was great. The site shop was very good, stocked all you needed. They have a caravan/camping supplies shop too, which was also excellent. They have a chip shop on site, which was superb! Would go back!

Just come back from 4 days camping and thought we'd write our first review!
The site is split into different fields which seem to hold a huge amount of pitches, some dog free if you wish. We stayed right at the back of the site in the 8-acre field on a hardstanding pitch with electric. Arrival was simple and we were given free reign of where to pitch which was really good - least you only have yourself to blame if not level!
The showers and toilets are housed in a huge block in the field (each area seemed to have it's own block) and although the showers were 50p for 6 minutes we too found this to be plently long enough. They were also very spacious and the water at the perfect temperature so well worth it.
There is a shop onsite which seems to hold most things and be fairly priced, also present is a fish and chip shop although we didn't use this.
The only noise we had was from other campers, some very loud people shouting at kids at 6am on Sunday wasn't quite what we wanted!
Dogs are welcome (we have 3 and was great to be able to take them all) and there is a dog walk onsite. Not sure if you were meant to let them off (on the dog walk only) or not but as there were no signs we did but just kept them under control and lead at all other times. One thing which was strange was that on day2 the poo bins disappeared! We did also notice that other people did not pick up after their dogs and some people did not really keep them under control (not a fault of the site rather the people!).
Overall a nice 4 days, site was pretty busy and would probably be better for families rather than couples.

What a great site!
The site is massive but there are well kept toilet blocks all over the place. A great dog walking area so very pet friendly.
When we stayed the ground was very hard and where tents and awnings had been up for a while the grass had died leaving patches everywhere, not to good on the knees when putting up a large tent.
The only bad point of the weekend was the noise coming from Pontins at 2am Saturday morning! It's fairly close and there was no wind so the volume just travelled across the site, apart from that a top weekend. Loads for kids to do in the play parks dotted around the site and within walking distance from the site.
On the day we were due to leave the weather was lush so we asked at reception if we could have a late check out

We have been coming here for a while now, my brother in law used to come here as a young boy when it was literally a field in a farm and you were greeted by the cows in the morning. There is a reason he keeps coming back and why he drew us to the place. The site is very well maintained, the owners are very friendly and you will always see them around and about, lakefield is my favourite site as it is so peaceful and the ducks and rabbits first thing are just charming.A real throw back to the farming history of the site! Love this place, highly recommended, very well placed!
