Have just returned from Shortlands Farm and we stopped on the camping field as we did not need a hook up. Fantastic sea view and the cows in the next field were not too noisy and quite nice to watch. Kate & her husband made us very welcome and the facilities, although basic and free, were always spotlessly clean and the fact that you had your own key made it feel as if it was your own bathroom. Found it to be excellent value for money and would certainly return. All the beaches in the area, either walking distance or a short drive away were beautiful and very quiet. For families with small children (unless beach weather) is not a lot to do in the immediate area. Pub which serves meals 5 mins walk away and the nearest shops for provisions are in Broadhaven, approx 3 miles away. Had a great time, really relaxing, dog friendly and would highly recommend it.

We pre-booked this campsite for a 6 day holiday, because it was advertised as a peaceful site with sea views. The directions we were given by the owners were perfect.
It was down a very bumpy, muddy track. The camping field was flat with freshly cut grass, and the sea views were beautiful.
The toilet and wash room was basic but clean and tidy.
We set up camp and soon after settling in, a farmer moved 100 weaner calves into the field next to us, they were mooing non stop. We walked down to the sea, when we came back the calves were even noisier. When we went to sleep, the calves stopped their noise and we thought we were going to have a quiet night. Until about 1 am and they started again.

Sat nav will deliver you pretty much to you destination, although the road gets thinner and thinner and turns to virtual gravel at the end.
The site itself is pretty flat and has more than enough electric points.
The views are amazing and a short trip down the footpath will deliver you out on the coast road and above a fantastic beach which is fairly steep to climb but secluded.
For the less able bodied a mile and a half trip to Nolton Haven gives you flat access to a beach only 50 yards from the carpark. We personally biked it at 70/30 peddle to walk ratio.
The coast path to Broad Haven is beautiful and if your lucky you can return by bus (Only a few a day, so don't miss it)opposite the Galleon Inn. In our case the driver stopped at the end of the footpath.
The owners are pretty nice and although we didn't use the toilets and showers (small charge) we heard they were pretty good.
