We are quite new to motorhoming and we are currently enjoying getting away in our new (to us) motorhome whenever we can.
Poplar Farm is exactly the sort of place we like - peaceful but not too far from 'civilisation'. We were welcomed by the friendly and helpful owner who showed us where the facilities were then left us in peace to get our pitch, water and electricity sorted out.
As there are no hardstandings available I was slightly concerned that we could potentially have problems parking a heavy motorhome on grass but we need not have worried - the pitches are level, well drained and firm.
The site is well sheltered by a couple of houses and farm buildings from the quiet road that runs alongside - complete quiet at night.
The table tennis and pool tables are located in an open-fronted farm building and I imagine would be very popular in warmer weather. As has been mentioned in a previous review the shower and toilet are in the same building as the pool table etc. As we had our own facilities we were not bothered by this. Just a walk away is the Wroxham Barns complex plus lots more to do just a short drive away. Recommended.

Had a really enjoyable weekend here, owners couldn't do enough for us, really friendly and sociable. The owner is always wandering around ensuring everything is ok.
A lovely area, brilliant for bike rides around the broads, good access to the Bure Valley railway path. Wroxham Barns is just up the road with its miniature farm and craft shops.
A fairly basic campsite but it has a toilet and shower, pool table and table tennis table which is all we needed. Only 6 or 7 other units here, so small and secluded and lovely & peaceful.
A brilliant weekend - thank you

We have been going every Easter for years and always enjoyed it but now under new management we were treated like royalty!
They couldn't do enough to make sure we were 100% happy, even asked if we wanted a tree moved!
Another bonus was freshly baked cakes and pastries on offer every morning, we couldn't have asked for anything more.
The facilities are fairly basic but that didn't bother us, they were clean so no problem at all.
The best welcome we've ever had on arrival!.

The owners were very friendly and eager to please. The site had just changed ownership when we stayed and the new owners were asking the opinion of the visitors to find out how to improve the facilities.
The pitch is on a strip of grass along the edge of a field which was used to grow peas. It is very quiet and if you are into star gazing there were no obtrusive lights.
The shower and toilets were in an open barn and were very basic. It was embarrassing going to use the wc having to pass children playing table tennis which was sited in the barn right outside the toilet door.
I feel the site should be for adults only as it is not big enough for children to play without bothering other campers. There is only the table tennis in the barn for them to play and the small area of grass with a dutch barn was used for caravans who had arrived too early and had to park there until the pitch was available.
We are sure that in time the facilities will improve and we wish them every success in their new venture.
