This is simply put a wonderful 5 'van site which takes tents in addition. We've been a few times now and is becoming our site of regular choice.
The camping area is bordered by large conifer type hedges and is quite compact in size. We've wondered what it would be like with a full 5 vans on site? I only say that as I have a twin axle van which takes a bit of manoeuvring.
Once there you will enjoy the wonder of peace and quiet which seems to be a premium these days.
Hook up available and well spread over area - there is an separate field which is a bit more open and seems to be used for tents. I assume to keep the well kept grass in order.
The caravan site is a sideline to the owners main business which is a garden nursery. There is an on site tea-room which is open during the season - we havent yet used that facility.(due to the quietness allowing a rare 'lie-in'!)
I feel that the first review here has been slightly unfair as to the provision of facilities. This IS a 5 van site remember, the toilet/shower/washing machine is in a combined room next to the tearoom and is a handy 'back up' to the facilities that we generally have in our 'vans anyway. The facilities are therefore perfectly adequate in my view and surpass what I have seen on other sites. (Okay, I can understand a family of 6 tenters having issues with one-loo)
There is an opportunity to tap into the WiFi offering which is suitable for checking email etc. Signal can vary dependant on which side of the van you sit on. ;-) Good addition though.
Out and About - not really ventured to far about as we just like to 'chill' but we did have a fun family night with our teens at Doncaster Greyhound Stadium just down the road in Stainforth - most Fri&Sats. Lots of £1 bets for fun.
There are a few pubs in Fishlake offering food. Cant comment as havent been yet and a tad too far to walk perhaps from site?
Liz and Steve are the perfect hosts and to date have welcomed any feedback we have offered. Even remembering our names since our visit which impressed us. (A lot!)
Overall - a nice little quite 5 van site for that quiet 'couples' getaway. Limited interest for younger kids perhaps? A must for anyone with green fingers! Dont like to publicise hidden gems too much for selfish reasons but credit where credit is due. We are back this weekend!

We have just returned from a great weekend stopping at this site, it must have been the windiest weekend in 2011, our caravan did not even rock with the wind. The area where we parked our caravan was a secluded well sheltered area. Overall a great site with a bonus of having a Shower/WC and washing machine which is not normal for a site of 5 units plus Tents, it also had Tea Rooms and Shop which was open at the weekend. The only thing we found was that the wifi was only available if your unit was right next to their house, so not a full wifi site.

Just visited this site for the weekend, for a new site we were impressed, everything you need for your stay. Fantastic walks as well on pretty flat ground. Owners very friendly and helpful. On site tea room which served first class home made cakes (had to sample a few)
This site is quiet and secluded with lots of privacy, perfect for those getaway weekends. We will be returning sooner rather than later. As the name suggests (nursery) great for picking your bedding plants up, we treat ourselves to a few. All in all a good site, enjoyed our stay.

This site is well sheltered with conifer trees. The winds were really high but you wouldn't have known because of the sheltered area. We had the electric hook up there was room for five tents, caravans etc. Each pitch had plenty of room.
The only problem is there is only one toilet for the whole of the campsite! with the shower in the same room. We found that we had to queue most of the time in the morning, because there is a field at the back of our field where tents pitch without electric. So you can imagine the amount of people that were camping, it was bank holiday weekend!
There is no play area for the kids but that didn't matter to us as we make out own entertainment anyway.
The campsite was nice and quiet. Because you had so much room around your pitch you could have chairs and tables with the family sitting outside enjoying the sunny weather.
Overall a lovely site but the toilet facilities let it down. If they built another toilet block and separate shower cubicles the site would be ideal and I would go back again.
