Great intro to Naturist Camping, Thank you. First time my wife and I have been to this type of site. They have a new toilet and shower block free hot water for both showers and washing up facilities plus a build in games room on the end. For a small charge you can use the hot tub and sauna room. This is a Mixed site so clothed and naturist mix. Be aware the drive into the site is very very narrow, Ford Transit van size no big motor home so Check with Charlie first.
We will be going back

Found this site in 2013 and have been back 3 times this year all ready. The site has new toilet block and showers to 2013, and a small leisure room with pool, and seating ideal if you have small tent.
We love the clothes optional side of things as there is no pressure on you to remove clothes if you don't wish to.
Friendly host will help with booking meals in the local area good flat site easy pitching and after rain dry's quickly. Small friendly quite.
Will be going back often

First time there. What a lovely couple that meet us. We will be going back. Its was hard to get my camper in but worth it in the end. We meet 3 nice couples. They have a new shower block just finishing of and a games room which we played in till 1am in the morning as there was only us in it, so did not keep any body up. We all had a good time. Then the next day we went in the hot tub which was lovely too. There is a nice pub just down the road, 5mins away and a shop and bus stop which was good for us. Thank you for a lovely weekend, we would like to meet the couples we meet there

We have just returned from another fantastic week at Bolding Way campsite. We stayed in the Red Yurt which was very good and comfortable. All facilities as good as last year and this year there are 2 more yurts a blue and yellow one, I looked in both and they are so lovely and pretty, We will definitely be returning next year.
Great Site, Good showers with plenty of hot water, nice and quiet at night.
Thanks again

Spent a few days midweek at this excellent little 'clothes-optional' campsite. Was met at the gate by the owner & his wife who showed us 2 or 3 different areas we could pitch our tent. Nice that you can park your car right next to your tent also. Facilities were superb, hot water in showers, clean, washing up area, couple of fridges etc. Only 2 showers but we never had to queue. Wife and I enjoyed wandering around the site nude & chatting with other naturists / non-naturists. Everyone very friendly. When we there, it was a mix of couples, group of women, couple of families, some nude /some not. Use of hot tub/sauna etc made it all the more special. Shall definitely be going back.

Stayed 3 nights with wife, first visit, camping.
Easily found from GPS/postcode, can understand why large motor homes and caravans are not allowed, narrow winding entrance to delightful campsite.
Made very welcome by owner, decent sized pitches, electric hook ups if needed, the shower block and toilets were immaculately kept. A very welcome bonus was the fridge and wine cooler.
Our fellow campers were sociable as one normally finds on naturist sites.
The Norfolk coastal footpath is a short stroll away, we walked to Cley had an excellent lunch in the sun at the George then cheated and caught the coast hopper bus back to weybourne. The bus service is very good and it would be easy to have a car free stay here.
There is a decent village shop a couple of minutes walk away, a nearby pub which we uncharacteristically failed to visit.
I love the north Norfolk coast and this site is a great alternative to the larger commercial sites.
If you like simple well run campsites and naturism you will enjoy this site, there are also rather nice looking yurts and I believe a cottage to rent.

This was our first ever camping holiday and we picked this site over the larger nearby ones as we thought it would be less commercial in feel and we were right. We're not naturists either, so that was a whole new experience, but more on that later.
The site itself is really pleasant on a level field which is well away from any road noise. It's within pretty easy walking distance of a well stocked village shop which also does pasties and coffees, a little cafe tucked away just down Beach Road and a pub. You can also take a nice stroll to the beach (15 mins or so, or take the car and park there - pay and display).
The beach is shingle so not a place to build sandcastles but there are some small cliffs for a pretty view and the shingle is quite steep so you can get really comfy reclining on this watching those sunsets. I should point out the sun sets over the sea here - a rarity in this part of the UK. A short drive east takes you to a petrol station on the edge of Sheringham, the town of Sheringham itself (take a walk up Beacon Hill for what is, in my opinion, the best coastal view in Norfolk or Suffolk, only rivalled really by Dunwich Cliff in Suffolk) and further along to Cromer.
Sheringham is bursting with all manner of great shops on a big high street including a metro style Sainsbury's, lots of cafes, WH Smiths, clothes shops, touristy shops and a Post Office. You can also take a ride to Holt on a steam train.
The National Trust's Sheringham Park is a short drive away too, a nice day out in a big park setting with a viewing tower that looks out over the coast. (Google the Gazebo tower for example views!).
West takes you along a lovely coastal road to one of my favourite beaches - Holkham - for sand and dune lovers and it is a nice beach to swim too.
The campsite had everything we needed: A good shower, clean toilets, fridge, kettle (handy for us novices who have yet to discover electrical hook ups and have a small stove which takes ages to boil), washing up sink for pots and pans, braziers for fires (wood available for a few pounds), washing line, hot tub (not tested). The owners were just so welcoming too. We had a quick look in a few of the empty Yurts and they are brilliant if you don't fancy pitching a tent. Basically a double bed with a sort of wigwam over the top, but with fridge, furniture and your own private garden area with decking.
I loved the two pigs in a free range enclosure at one end - take them some fruit to eat and they run squealing out of the undergrowth to the gate to see you - delightful.
Now, on the subject of nudity. We are not naturists but still picked this site because we felt the vibe would be nice and laid back on a clothes optional site and this is indeed the case. As it happens there was a nice mix. Some couples who did not strip, some who did, some couples where one of them did and the other didn't. Some of the ladies just went topless. The point is you do what is comfortable and no-one cares. When we arrived it seemed a bit funny seeing a nude couple putting up a tent and we had a surreal moment chatting with a completely naked guy in the middle of the campsite. But after about an hour we were brave and stripped off. Within an hour after that it all seemed so natural and feeling the sun and breeze on your body plus a wonderful tan actually made this holiday for us. It took a while to get enough courage to make our first nude walk across the site to make a coffee but by the end of our stay, putting ON clothes seemed silly and we laughed because we cut short a day at the beach - tanning with shorts and swimsuit in the way - to come back to the site to tan all over in the nude. As an added bonus, it certainly made our clothes stay cleaner for longer as we didn't wear them most of the time.
For someone taking a few days break from work but never away from work because it's internet based, the lack of net connection for my daily check up was problematic. I got a healthy signal with both O2 and Vodafone for GPRS but no 3G sadly, so net surfing was off except on mobile versions of sites (BBC News, Ebay as examples) but checking emails possible if you plan ahead and make provisions for a slow connection. So wi-fi would have been a nice bonus or even some ethernet connections in the kitchen - some net access can be so handy to help plan trips and check directions and opening times. That's more a reflection of my chronic inability to switch off than a criticism of the site though.
A freezer would have also been great in the portacabin to re-freeze ice blocks. Considering those are the only two things I'd improve you can see how much we liked this place.
We are already planning our second trip there.

I stayed here over the early May bank holiday and there was a really good friendly atmosphere on the site. The site is without a doubt my favourite of the dozens I stayed on during my extended trip, and that has nothing to do with the fact that the site is clothing optional. That was just a bonus as I was able to sunbathe and didn't have to worry about getting dressed to go to the toilet and shower block.
The site does not take motorhomes or caravans, only tents and small camper vans. This is because of the tight access. I personally think this makes the site that much more friendly.
We were lucky to be rewarded with lovely sunny weather. The clothing optional aspect of the site was great. Some were in various states of dress or undress at various times, and it was just no big deal. Clothed and unclothed people chatted, some kept themselves to themselves, all with a fantastic atmosphere.
The local area is really lovely. The beach at Weybourne is steeply shelved pebbles backed by cliffs.
There is a local pub, which was unfortunately unable to take us for an evening meal without a booking, so do be sure to book! The village is lovely, with a very upmarket village shop which sells everything you might need and does great milkshakes too!
The facilities are fine - a portacabin containing two loos, two showers and washing up facilities. All were clean.
The other great thing about this site is that fires are permitted in the braziers provided, and they sell wood as well. This is a nice touch.
There is a hot tub and sauna. I used to hot tub (very nice) but not the sauna.
All in all, definitely recommended to anybody who is not offended by nudity or likes the flexibility to be able to go without clothes when it suits.
The only thing that would be a real improvement would be the provision of wifi, as the mobile phone signal is also patchy at the site.

What a wonderful site, small and compact but full of charm. Fantastic toilet/shower block. Clean with plenty of hot water, also washing up area under cover with kettle, dryer and fridge. Owners Charlie and Jenny both warm and welcoming and willing to help in any way possible. The use of the site hot tub is a must. Will be back for another visit. Weybourne an easy walk, Sheringham a cheap bus ride.

I have been camping for over 50 years and it was a delight to stay at Bolding Way.
The site owner couldn't have been more helpful and unlike on some of the huge sites, everyone was always willing to stop and chat. Too many campsites just feel like a bit of suburbia these days.
My wife and I are not naturists and had never stayed on such a site before. We quickly got used to some campers going without clothes and I soon joined them - especially as we had the one week of summer this year. So - if you find unclothed people an embarrassment, don't go to this site but if you don't, why not give it a try?
The site itself is small, on a level field with basic but clean unisex facilities in a converted static caravan - 2 loos, 2 showers, a wash up sink and bottle cooler. Charlie plans to extend the toilet block for next season. There are plenty of electric hookups.
Access to the site is very narrow with sharp bends, so it is only suitable for tents, trailer tents and small campervans such as VW. No mobile gin - palaces or caravans could get in.
Campers can use the summer house with sauna and hot tub during the day - it looked great but we didn't try it. There is also a fridge - freezer there.
Weybourne is a pretty village with posh village shop about 5 minutes walk away from the site. The beer in the pub is good and they do meals. We didn't try the food there. A shingle beach is about 15 minutes walk away.
The district? Very different and with a wild, remote beauty. The coast is saltmarsh, shingle, dunes and low cliffs. There are many small, pretty villages along the road towards Hunstanton. Try the deli and smokery in Cley-by-the-Sea. Sheringham is a faded but still pleasant Victorian resort. Cromer is horrible - very run down, except for the pier.
A must is to take a boat trip from Morston Quay to see the seal colony on Blakeney Point. Book ahead in the village.
If you are a foody, fresh lobster and crab is available all over the place and oysters and mussels in season.
Walkers will enjoy the Norfolk Coast Path - we did.
The North Norfolk Steam Railway has a station a mile away from the site.
We will go back soon. Great holiday in a gem of a location.
