We stayed for two days with our dog for a walking weekend. The camp site is superbly located in a beautiful part of the country with beautiful views.
I was in contact with the owner prior to our stay and they were amazing. They were able to accommodate everything we asked for especially concerning my dog who had never spent a night in the tent.
The facilities are exactly as they are described in the website so everything was great. If I'm going to be ultra critical it would be not enough toilet facilities. I fully understand their problems with drainage etc, as I said, it's me being hyper critical as I have nothing else to be critical about!
Of all the camp sites we visit around the country I would definitely put Oakfield right at the top. Excellent spot, Excellent surroundings and fantastic hosts.

We stopped on this adult only site for a weekend, it was a nice site, very quiet and tidy, owner very friendly as well.
Good points
Pitches are spacious
There is hard standing
1 toilet 1 washroom
Nice and quiet
Adult only
There is a chemical disposal point in bottom field
There is no were to empty the waste water the owner told us to empty it in the hedge row.
Bad points
There is only 2 hard standing pitches
There is no electric on the hard standing pitches you have to use 2 extensions and feed your cable through the hedge to connect to the electric box in the next field.
In total there is only 5 hook-ups. 4 points on one pole on a grass area, the other hook up is under a bucket in the ground towards the bottom of the site
All in all a very nice site will visit again

As mentioned in other reports this is a great little site.
The owner was very helpful and friendly.
The camping field we were in had really short grass which was great in the wet, as we did have quite a bit of rain over the weekend. There was loads of room in the gently sloping field.
Yes, the facilities are not numerous but clean and tidy. Whilst there was only one Festival toilet, we didn’t have to queue. There were about 5 caravans and a couple of tents there during our visit.
The area is really attractive with lanes not dissimilar to those found in Devon with some really attractive villages. We tried the beer in both pubs in Hawkesbury Upton, The Beaufort Arms and the Fox. Both are very different.
Yate & Chipping Sodbury are a few minutes drive away.
This site is definitely on the “will return list. ”

This CL was the best we have come across. The owners are really friendly and helpful. We had the site to ourselves for much of our stay and the weather was glorious. The site is peaceful and relaxing and the surrounding countryside with its hundreds of footpaths to explore is wonderful and we walked for many miles with our 4 dogs who were also made welcome. The site is clean and tidy and very attractive. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.

Gorgeous little hideaway site with perfect views of the surrounding countryside. Was greeted by the lady owner who was very friendly and thorough explained about site and surrounding areas. There are no showers on site and it states this clearly on the website but there is however a small porta cabin type thing with a wash hand basin in also an events toilet which was always very clean and tidy and even had small plants to make it homely :).
There is plenty of field for dog walking and believe me our little jack Russell loved every minute of it. Site is very clean and tidy and completely peaceful. Local town was about 3 mins away in car but you would never guess that as the site was just so tranquil. Owners sell honey on site which they make themselves and there were a few herbs to help ourselves to. Fantastic location and very nice friendly owners was a pleasure to stay here and will definitely visit again.

Such a lovely site. The views are simply stunning and it's so peaceful. This is the second time we've stayed here.
The facilities are basic but spotlessly clean. The site owners are lovely and genuinely concerned to ensure you enjoy your stay, without being in any way intrusive.
The pitches are separated by newly planted dividing hedges which is nice.
If you're looking for tranquillity and not bothered about having basic facilities then this site is just perfect.

Lovely, quiet, peaceful site! Owner was friendly and showed us the facilities and where to set up. The shower facility wasn't completed yet, but will be a great benefit to the site! Also received a welcome letter explaining where the local pub and other facilities around the area, about the code on the gate, and times they close/open the gate, which was extremely helpful! Allows bbq 's there which was perfect. Great camp site! Would definitely use again! THANK YOU! X

A lovely peaceful farm camp just six miles off the M4. Perfect place to unwind and just breath fresh air. Basic facilities in terms of a washroom and a porta loo but all very clean. There was a shelter shed with bricks and wood available for levelling and barbeques and information was also provided there about the local area. There is a footpath leading to a walk in the country. Family were helpful at every turn without being intrusive.

We spent a couple of nights on this tranquil site. Basic certificated Caravan & Camping club site. Facilities included a very clean portaloo and a 'porta' washcabin with hot water. There are a few electric hook ups available if required. Beautiful views from the larger main camping field. The grass is regularly cut which is a plus. The downside for us was the poor drainage on the field in the inclement weather. A feature of the soil. Owners very friendly and helpful. A great quiet adult only site for those wanting a peaceful location, best in the dry weather.

Many thanks to them for helping us to use this site during a very cool and wet spring. We were travelling by bicycle, so the distance to and from sites and communication about them often presented a challenge in our travels.
This is a basic campsite, but very clean and quiet. It is some distance from the availability of food, so we were glad to arrive prepared.
Beautiful views over the countryside.
