Beautiful site, well kept camping field with a lovely small stream running through it and fantastic views.
Toilets and washing area are immaculate and the owners Helen and Jon are very friendly and helpful.
We stayed on the site in a family tent for four nights this June.
It's a small site and very peaceful.
The camping area we had was at the side of a little stream which our kids loved playing in together with playing games in the big field.
Helen was really helpful and gave us ideas of where to go in the area.
There's lots to do and see in the area with lots of lovely walks.
The village has a playground and tennis courts.
Both Helen and Jon were very friendly making sure we had a lovely stay.
On an evening we walked into The village and ate at the Gamecock which was excellent.
We will definitely be coming again.
Wonderful!

We have just spent three nights at this site.
Having booked, I was a bit surprised that there had been no reviews since 2012.
I needn't have worried. The site is as lovely as described by other reviewers. We had a non EHU pitch backing on to the stream, with an amazing view from the front of our tents of the surrounding countryside.
The site is well-kept and the owner was very friendly and helpful.
There is a shower block with two showers and two toilets (all unisex), and two washing up areas, all clean and well cared for. There are only 13 pitches and because it was still term time there were no children on site during our visit.
Our only reservations about the site are that it is a long way to the toilet block and it is quite dark going through the owners' garden. I wouldn't have wanted to make the trip to the loo on my own in the dark.
The site is close to the village which has a pub and a shop. There is a small Co-op in Settle and also a lovely Booth's supermarket with plenty of parking. There is a fish and chip shop in Settle, which offers take-away and eat-in.
This was planned as our last camping trip so on our way home we went through all the sites we have stayed at. We all agreed that this is the loveliest.

We have spent a lovely two nights camping at Silloth House. Helen was very helpful when we arrived, showing us the simple, clean toilet/shower/wash-up facilities and suggesting routes for walking. She also made time to check with us each day that we were happy with everything. The site is surrounded by great views and the stream was a winner with Hetty our Labrador! The site is just the place to stay if you're wanting a quiet, relaxing break. The walk into Austwick is short enough to make good use of the local shop and pub. We ate in the Gamecock one evening and the food was delicious, as was the beer!

Just returned from a 4 day Jubilee Bank Holiday camping trip to Silloth House.
The site is very picturesque, nestled between the hills of the Yorkshire Dales and with two streams running through it.
The owners, Helen and Jon are very friendly and helpful and made our stay very welcoming.
Site has two showers and two toilets that were always spotlessly clean, and never full.
Plenty of room for the kids to run around and they enjoyed paddling and fishing in the stream with their nets.
The village of Austwick is a short walk along the road and has a local shop and a lovely village pub that does excellent meals - bookings recommended.
All in all, a great 4 days - we'll be back!

Just stayed here with my daughter and family, it was a beautiful spot, surrounded by gloryious countryside the site is perfect for families,
The facilities very clean and looking forward to the new shower,
The host Helen was brilliant and very helpful, she boiled a kettle for us so we could have a brew while the men went to nearby settle to find a part for our stove,
The use of the free barbacues is great, cant wait to go again and maybe the swimming pool will be ready next year what a bonus!
Cant wait to go again.

Campsite just re-opened under new owners Helen & Jon and family.
Very welcoming and helpful and will develop the shop facility which will be at 'reasonable' prices (always a bone of contention) for campers.
The shower/washing up/toilet area are new with unlimited hot water when needed.
The campsite intends to be kept to approx. 12 tents plus 6/7 EHUs which are located in a different field, and half a dozen bbq's are available on a first come first served basis.
But if you don't fancy cooking, the pub in Austwick is a few minutes down the road which also does a reasonably priced carryout pizza service advertised on site.
Any more serious shopping can be done in Settle 5 miles away which has various outdoor shops and a Booths supermarkets among others.
This quiet picture postcard site (trees, and stream running through) is literally across the road from a public footpath leading into Three Peaks area and spectacular limestone pavements.
Ideal if you want a quiet campsite.

Helen and John were amazing, they have a beautiful site setup that is quiet, under control as in not to much noise, and a large field with a stream running through it that has electric hook ups if required.
We stayed for a few nights, pitched up and couldn't ask for much more, either John or Helen would ask few times a day if we required anything, all ok, anything they could do, which was just lovely but also I mentioned to John about me and my son building a go kart but couldn't find wheels, he found us some by the end of the weekend, my son went to ask if they had some lettuce at the shop for some lunch, Helen didn't sell any but instead gave him a lettuce from her own fridge.
A real welcoming and clean site, a fantastic location with options over the years to upgrade the facilities to larger toilet block and showers at present there are 2 toilets and 1 shower that are shared but as this site gets busier there are lots of options to upgrade and make this the best site in the area.
Little gem of a secret, and its made by the owners who want to look after you, make sure you enjoy the area.
We are going again before the end of season definitely.

Just back from our first visit to Silloth House - wow what a fantastic site. Amenities are basic but clean, 2 toilets and 1 shower (toilet rolls, hand wash & paper towels well stocked).
The site is amazing - a large, flat field split in two by a beautiful stream, complete with rope swing! The surrounding views are fantastic as well. Helen & Jon the owners are really welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
All the children aged from 13 down to 3 loved the site and were kept completely entertained by the stream or by the open space to play football on.
Electric hook ups are available but we didn't use them. The site is a 15 minute walk from the village where there is a lovely pub (also extremely accommodating) with great food.
The area is full of lovely walks, caves and villages. We will definitely be back over the summer.
