This is a small site which is kept spotlessly clean, as are the toilets and shower room.
No children's playground on the site but as a middle aged couple that's fine by us.
The Rising Sun Inn offers a large selection of meals, all of which appear to be reasonably priced.
The owners of the site are so helpful and friendly, going out of their way to assist.
The site is on a bus route though there is no formal bus stop, you just flag one down when you see it coming.
An earlier comment mentioned noisy crows but I can honestly say they didn't bother us at all, in fact until I saw them, I hadn't been aware of them, and I thought that the free range chickens wandering around in the day were a delight to watch. All in all we had a very relaxing weekend and I'd definitely re-visit.

Good Location, just off the main road, easy to get on to, very friendly and helpful staff.
Shower and toilet very clean, washer and tumbler dry handy. Good number of electric hook ups.
Loved watching the free range chickens roaming the site - even enjoyed one of their eggs. Large picnic tables available for site use. Lovely meals in the Rising Sun good size portions and friendly staff.
Nice beaches 5 mins + 10 mins away by car. The perfect spot for touring around.

My family and I have just returned from a short stay at this site and we all agree it is a cracking place to stay.
Beautifully well maintained site, ideally located for all different activities in the area, very tasty pub food and excellent staff who could not do enough to make you feel welcome.
Will be coming back some time in the future and recommending to friends and family. Well worth the 5. 5hour drive to get to and the early morning wake up calls from the crows. But when your on holiday who wants to stay in bed all day.

Just had a brilliant weeks holiday at the Rising Sun with our two Grandchildren. They were made to feel extremely welcome and had a great time, the only problem was getting them in the car on the day we left.
The food in the 'Pub' was so good we ended up eating in there every day, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, even with fussy 5 and 7 year olds. The chef even came to speak to them about what they wanted to eat. What Service!
We all loved the local beaches, one was only 10 minutes away. It was unfortunate that the weather restricted the amount of time we could actually spend on the beaches, but we managed to go crabbing every day.
The Toilet block was always kept clean and well stocked. The large separate shower also had a great heater and a hairdryer.
We managed to go home with cases of clean clothes courtesy of the washer and dryer on site.
Overall the best site we have been on and will definitely be back soon

Just returned from a stay at this site and will not be returning again. Despite the couple who run the site day-to-day being extremely welcoming and helpful, the same cannot be said for the pub attached. We found the meals over-priced and the bar staff on more than one occasion curt and unfriendly. The pre-booked breakfasts were definitely not worth the money and were left out to go cold rather than on a heated/attended display.
A couple of friends staying with us actually left 1 or 2 days early despite being paid up simply because of the service received at breakfast and in the pub in general.
The heated shower room is excellent and was always clean and tidy, as were the toilets which were kept well-stocked. Although Haverfordwest is within walking distance (about 20mins/half hour), you really do need transport here because there is no shop etc. Local that we found.
Another major downside which cannot be ignored is the deafening noise of the crows in the trees surrounding the camping field. On the couple of sunny days we had you simply could not sleep through the noise which started around 4. 30am! Luckily (depending on how you look at it) the weather was terrible whilst we were there and this seems to shut them up.
The site does have electric hook-ups but I believe most of these are used by the caravans which seem to be there long-term. The ground did not flood despite torrential rain but a lot of the grassed area is uneven so you need to pitch tents carefully to avoid rolling out of bed!
Overall, if it weren't for the birds, the site itself would be great if you ignored the pub once you had paid your pitch fees. There are no facilities for children though so be warned.

Stopped here for the first time this weekend and we were really pleased. The owners are really friendly and helpful, and the site was really well cared for and clean.
The Rising Sun Inn owns or runs the site and it's a lovely pub/restaurant. We had a drink there but didn't stay long enough to need to eat out, however we looked at the menu and it looked really good, and the Rising Sun itself is a gorgeous looking place.
The place is 5 mins from Haverfordwest's huge Tesco store, 2 minutes the other way is Pelcombe service station with a shop and takeaway, and 10 minutes to the best beaches in the country.
We will definitely be staying there again.
