We have been caravanners for over 35 years, and have stayed on many commercial and private sites, and many c. L. S too.
Without any doubt whatsoever, this is the most pleasant site, we have visited to date. It is immaculate, and well maintained, all pitches are hard standing, with own tap and hook up. The Shower room and Toilet are of a very high standard, always clean and fresh, and even had towels supplied and changed daily. The hosts are very pleasant and obliging, even to the extent of driving out to find us when we got lost. Wifi is available. The site is a little off the beaten track, though nearby towns and amenities are only 10-15 mins away. The big Plus however is the peace and quiet, and abundance of wild life. There is an adjacent field for dog walking (which is also kept in pristine condition)An adult only site. We were genuinely sorry to leave this 'little piece of heaven'. Price much less than I would have expected to pay for such high standards
Our Thanks to the owners, and we wish you continued success with this c. L.

This was our first visit to Poole Farm CL and it certainly won't be the last.
The site:
Entry to the site is via a narrow lane which some people may be put off by but we travelled up and down it several times and didn't once meet any other vehicles. It's only a 4 minute drive on this lane to the site. On entering the site it is obvious that the owners take great pride in it as it is immaculately maintained and very spacious with a gravel driveway leading to the pitches and dog walk area. There are bird feeders dotted around.
Pitches:
All 5 pitches are very large, (the largest we've seen on a CL) and level. There is low fencing separating each pitch. All pitches have their own electric & water hook-up. 3 pitches are all grass and the other 2 pitches have gravel hardstanding and grass so it's suitable for both motorhomes and caravans.
Facilities:
At the end of the site there is a useful information room which leads to the spotless toilet & shower room. This room is extremely spacious with a large walk in shower cubicle and toilet & sink. A liquid handwash is provided and fresh hand towels are put in every day. Outside there are the usual waste water facilities and rubbish/recycling bins. No facilities for children as this is an adult only site.
Dog Walk:
Across a small bridge is the large, completely secure dog walking field which the owners have mowed a pathway around. There is a small fenced off pond where the occasional duck visits. There are a couple of benches so you can have a sit down and gaze at the views while your dog has a sniff about off lead in complete safety.
Location:
Fabulous views over the open countryside, close to the river Tamar and you can't hear any traffic apart from the occasional farm vehicle going by. It is centrally located to explore both Devon & Cornwall so an ideal base.
Nearby:
Launceston is about a 10-15 minute drive where you'll find the castle and all the usual shops, supermarkets & takeaways.
All in all, we couldn't have chosen a better site than Poole Farm CL as it is the best adult only site that we have ever stayed at, and we have stayed at a lot. It was far better than we expected. The owners are always on hand if needed and were very helpful, friendly & knowledgeable.
We will be back!

All we can really say about this site is 'WHAT A GEM' The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful, the site is kept immaculate, nice and clean toilet and showers, lovely dog walk.
Would we visit again. YOU BET. The site is well situated for all the Devon/Cornwall attractions. Bit of a narrow lane to get to site but we were in and out each day with a large Motorhome and never once had any traffic problems.

We wanted a quiet, friendly site, set in beautiful countryside within an hour from home (Plymouth) and boy did we find a real gem at Poole Farm!
It is situated just a few yards from the River Tamar, which is the natural border between Cornwall and Devon, and being a Caravan Club (Adult Only) CL site, comprises of just 5 pitches for caravans or motorhomes.
Poole Farm was recently opened by owners Diana and David. And after major works to get it to this high standard, the whole area was further landscaped to provide HUGE individual (fenced/hedging) grass pitches, each one with it's own water tap and electric hook-up. A gravel track runs through the site to each pitch.
Important for us was the special dog walk, comprising of a wild meadow with a cut grass path meandering gently among the newly planted fruit trees. Ruby, our GSx loved it!
Grey water waste and recycle bins are sited close to the wooden hut which doubles as an information area and shower room / toilet (always very clean and well supplied). My only suggestion would be to have the toilet separate to the shower, but that's just a personal preference.
Poole Farm is easily reached from the A30, and just a few minutes drive from Launceston, which has a Tesco, Lidl etc for shopping together with many restaurants, take-aways & pubs.
Access to the site is down a half mile single track tarmac lane, but shouldn't be a problem as it's a very quiet. Remember not to use satnav for the last part of your journey, but follow the website instructions.
While staying at Poole Farm, David kindly showed us around the 3 double-bedroomed B&B they had just opened (the previous day) in their stunning Victorian farmhouse, now restored and decorated to a very high standard. As with the pitch fees at just £12 per night, room prices are also very competitively priced, so we may treat ourselves one weekend soon!

One of the best CLs I have visited, only been open just over a year and not yet in Caravan Club Handbook. When it is I think it will be very popular. Owners great, great pitches and is ideally situated between North and South coasts. The Visitors Book is full of praise for the CL. Try it whilst you can, this CL is a canditate for CL Of The Year. Do not follow Sat. Nav from A30 or you will come to a 6'06' wide bridge follow the owners route.

This site is really lovely and I would recommend a visit. The pitches are huge with electric hook up and water on each one. The shower and toilet are immaculate.
It is so peaceful. Lots of birds and the Tamar river is just behind the site. Nice dog walk just next to the site that the dogs can have a run around in. The site is adults only and the owners are friendly and helpful. The site is well situated for visits to Dartmoor and it is not far to Bude and Bodmin Moor.
Will come here again.
