Nice big pitches. Very clean generally. Child orientated with entertainment and pools etc.

Many dogs there. Didn't like them pooping near my pitch but owners generally cleaned it up.

The entertainment was good in the evenings but drinks expensive. I was unable to take in my own even though I am allergic to the cider they sold.

Dawlish Warren was a hilly 25 minute walk away and again Very Expensive. Nice beaches and good coastal walks.

Bus stop right outside and train station in Dawlish Warren.

Positives, great pools, spacious pitches, fab playground. Walkable to Dawlish and Dawlish Warren. Good bus links to rest of the area.

Negatives. Shower block only heated from 5-9am and again in the evening. It felt cold at 9am. Showers ok but lack of hooks for clothes, bag, towel etc. Narrow ledge not big enough for bag. Floors very wet. Toilet blocks did not appear to be heated at all.

Staff drive around on site faster than the 5mph limit (the sites flashing speed sign read 12 and 13mph on occassions) and were usually seen checking their phone or eating whilst driving around. Expensive at £39 a night for 4 in February.

We were looking for a site with all facilities open out of season, hoping for a peaceful week with kids at school.

This was not the case, it would seem that some families live on site, very noisy and commercial. Food was okay and it was clean.

Not recommended for couples but okay if you have children.

I was recommended this site by a friend who had visited it on many occasions. I read the reviews and decided to book for a week.

I found that they did reduced rates for over 65s in July so that was a bonus. On arrival we were able to choose our own pitch. Chose a lovely quiet pitch. Had lovely views.

The staff were fantastic. The amenities were second to none. Enjoyed our stay so much we booked an extra night.

We just had a lovely week here, we stayed on the beach meadow grass pitch field, very large pitches indeed, and quieter and roomier than the pitches by the pool and clubhouse the toilet block was always nice and clean, hot showers and free electricity (no cards needed).

The pool was great, with a hot tub and sauna/steam room, and the evening entertainment team were very good, the staff were friendly as well.

Sainsburys is 10 mins walk away, and you can walk to Dawlish warren and Dawlish. Teignmouth is a lovely seaside resort not too far away.

Very nice site and generous discounts for over 50's outside school holidays, cannot wait to return to this site again.

Been coming to this site for years and watched it grow from a really family friendly site to what it has become now, still family friendly but very commercialised and really busy during school holidays.

Our break was outside the school holidays but there were still kids on site, most of which were well behaved. Our super pitch on Halton view was changed to one on Meadow view, due to a drilling rig in action from 8 till 5 boring down for a water supply.

The same facilities, electric, fresh water and drainage, these are very big pitches, but unlike Halton view, are not flat. Ours had a slight slope front to back and across the axle, so chocks were needed to get the van level. Not all pitches were as bad, others that were occupied on the higher tier from us and closer to the statics were reasonably flat. As a seasoned caravanner, I know full well that what suits one person will not suit another.

My wife and I like a peaceful holiday, relaxing outside our home from home. Unfortunately, this was not possible due to the influx of some weekenders who’s sole purpose was to make as much mess as possible, and had no idea half the time where their kids were and what they were up to.

A previous review said that the area by the playpark resembled a refugee camp, I would agree with this wholeheartedly. Thankfully though those were in the minority.

The facilities on site, pools, bar etc are exceptional and you can see why this site is so popular. For people who like camping on grass, the pitches at the top of the site “ Ocean view” are very large and have electric hookups, with an access gate to get to Dawlish Warren which is a short downhill walk away.

The weather was exceptional during our stay and the Elsan disposal point blocked up 4 times during the 2 weeks, which made it a bit awkward, but was sorted immediately each time. Staff are great. Helpful and ready with advice on trips out if you are new to the area. Plenty of washing up sinks and never had to queue for a shower.

For those who like a lively time in a park that has it all, Ladys Mile is just the job. As is for folks like us who like a quieter time of things. Didn’t enjoy it as much this time due to pitch selection, but it won’t put us off.

Book in advance though, as the pitches sell out quickly. Also great deals for over 50’s as mentioned before out of school holidays.

We arrived in time for book in at 11am on the first Sat of Whitsun half term. Parking at reception with a caravan isn't great as is a normal car park and you have to rely on there being enough space for the car and caravan. Book in was friendly and efficient and we had plenty of choice of hard standing.

Pitches were large in the Meadows and much better looking than the pitches surrounding the play park, where it did look much more like a refugee camp. We were lucky with our free upgrade to a fully serviced pitch as we ended up in a quiet location. The campsite is huge an sprawling and we did hear music being played and rowdy campers but fortunately we weren't disturbed where we were. There are a lots of seasonal pitches and some did look quite 'interesting'.

We didn't have to pay for electricity but it appeared this was just temporary over Whitsun to save them time selling prepaid cards at reception.

The shop on site was excellent with loads of camping bits and bobs, food and pocket money sweets and toys. We didn't use the takeaways as found them quite pricey, but the kids enjoyed the arcade.

Both indoor and outdoor pools were well heated and the kids loved the slides. They both bought rubber rings, which you can use on the slides and made it faster and more fun. Obviously both pools were busy with it being half term, so maybe the park should restrict external access (it appears to be open to the public) at busy holidays.

Shower and toilet blocks were kept very clean, although the toilet block stunk of cigarette smoke - I'm not sure if it was coming in from the open windows or campers were smoking indoors.

Showers were free flowing and hot, but there was a total lack of hooks.

Washing up facilities were outside but under cover. Bring gloves as the water is boiling - great for washing up the BBQ.

We went to the Bingo one evening and the bar was pretty rammed. Not really our cup of tea.

Walked to Dawlish Warren and from there you can walk along a prom to Dawlish. A really nice walk but quite high up without railings if you've got a toddler beware.

Sainsburys is only a 5 min walk and Morrisons is a short drive away in Teignmouth.

We enjoyed a couple of nice meals out at Wetherspoons in Teignmouth (parking at Waitrose) as is right next door.

We also visited The Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth, which is free. Trago Mills for household shopping. Creally, quite expensive but the reception have vouchers for 25% off and Torquay, which has nice shopping at Fleets Walk near the front (we parked for free near the park and walked down). You can also catch a bus from Dawlish Warren, which in hindsight would have been a lovely ride along the coast, but you'd need to go in the morning as coming back buses don't leave past about 3 or 4.

Our kids loved the site and we may return but we do prefer the peace of a CC or a smaller site.

This was our first visit to this site; we went for 3 nights at the start of August. At £43 per night for a family of 4 it’s not cheap but the facilities on site were very good.

We camped between the kids play area and the outdoor swimming pool – both of which were excellent for the kids.

The pitch sizes were a good size, you do feel a little packed in, that may be down to how narrow the roads are in between the rows of pitches. Being in a tent this wasn’t much of a problem, manoeuvring a caravan for a newbie might be a bit of a challenge though. When booking in you have to pay for your electric up front with top up cards, we were advised to buy a couple of cards to last the 3 days which cost £3. 20 in total, when we got to the pitch there was already enough credit on to last probably another week so we got the cards refunded.

The showers were very good; they had variable temperature control which was handy for the kids as usually the showers are too hot for the younger ones on other sites we have visited. I did notice they also had a bath in the shower block which I think had a £3 charge.

We only went in the clubhouse on one evening, this wasn’t great but we didn’t spend too much time in there to give it a fair comment.

On site shop seemed to stock all the essentials for both camping gear and also food and drink.

The only downside to this site is you aren’t booked onto specific pitches, so you have to just drive around and look for one – we couldn’t find two next to each other and just managed to find two almost opposite, I believe it would be better to be able to reserve for this exact reason.

We drove to Exmouth beach one of the days which was great; it’s about 40 min away as the locals said the problem with the local beaches was the tide was always in.
