Just spent two nights at this site and really loved it. The field is small and pretty, with the shepherds hut and bell tent in the corner. These are really charming and I would love to stay in either. The views from the pitches are fabulous, with Malmesbury Abbey especially lovely when lit up at night. The facilities are just right and even though there were 4 other units on the first night we always seemed to have them to ourselves. The owners are friendly and we will definitely be adding this to our list of sites to return to.

We stayed for a friend's birthday and she'd hired the whole site.
It's a small site, but I think there were more pitches than the 5 stated in the info at the top - there were, I think, 6 hook up points, with one taken up by the glamping bell tent (there's also a 'shepherd's hut' available for hire. Aside from that, there was more space, though the field is a narrow triangular shape, so the space certainly is limited. It's flat and grassy and pegs go in easily. Pitches are not marked out.
The facilities are small, but I'd say appropriate to the size of the site. They appear quite new and well looked after. One review talked about an 'outside' toilet, but I would say it's just accessed from a separate external door in the toilet block - it's not the sort that 'outside toilet' makes me think of!
The views are very pleasant, with the Abbey clearly visible across the fields.
It's a roughly 10 minute walk into the centre of Malmesbury either across the fields, or down the road (a bit further, but probably easier in the dark!) although there's not a pavement all the way. Malmesbury is an attractive town with small shops and is reasonably well set up for tourists, so there are plenty of places to eat and drink and the Abbey and Abbey House Gardens both attract plenty of visitors. There's a small Co-op in town, or a larger one fairly close to the site on the edge of town.
A short walk down the road from the site is the Spice Merchant, an Indian restaurant which also does takeaways. I believe the owners are originally from Kerala, so as well as the usual dishes, there are some more unusual ones worth trying if you like to experiment a bit.

This is a lovely little site - a flat, lush field bordered on one side by a thick hedge and with a lovely view of Malmesbury on the other.
Easy to reach from the M4 (J17), it's run by a very welcoming family who keep the facilities in excellent order. There's an honesty box for the lovely shower - much better than messing around with tokens.
Yes, the cows can be noisy early in the morning but the excitable mooing at feeding time doesn't last very long once they've got the food in front of them. We heard very little other noise from the farm, apart from the occasional chug of a tractor.
I can't understand the previous comment about a noisy road nearby because the Malmesbury bypass (a single carriageway) - which you should take to get to the site rather than let your satnav take you through the town - is a good distance away behind trees and I had to try very hard to hear any traffic!
Malmesbury is a short walk away across the fields and is a pretty little town with enough to keep you interested for a day. We're not great gardeners but would recommend Abbey House Gardens, which has real imagination. Just be careful not to turn up on one of its naturist - yes, not naturalist - days unless that's your thing! I think they call them 'Clothes Optional Days'.
We would definitely return.

There are a few pluses and negatives to this site.
Access to the site is through a working farm 'second on right', the site is small will 6 EHU the ground is level in most areas and well drained.
Nice views of the Abbey across the fields.
The toilets 1 inside 1 outside and shower are kept clean and tidy, £1. 00 charge for use of shower.
Pot washing area is inside '1 sink', electric kettle gas hob and micro wave oven available.
For those who like to to rise late you may be awaken by the dawn chorus of the cattle around 06. 00hrs and by 7. 00hrs the farm goes on about their daily work.

We have just had our Easter break at Whychurch Farm and stayed for 3 nights, it is a working farm with lots of lovely cattle and calves no other animals. The facilities were adequate and kept clean by the owner and the site was on a corner of a large field that had been fenced off and had the protection of a nice thick hedge. We had a lovely view across the fields to Malmesbury Abbey and it only took 10 min to walk into the town from the site, plenty of places to eat and buy provisions. The only negative point is a noisy main rd nearby, but this did not spoil a lovely weekend.

We came here for a long weekend break.
On arrival we where welcomed by the owner and her lush chocolate lab Yogi bear!
The campsite is set behind the farm and is very spacious with great views over the famous malmesbury abbey and the town itself.
It takes approx 10mins to walk into town where it is friendly with some great places to eat and shop.
The facilities at the campsite where very well maintained and spotless!
Definitely coming back but am going to book the Shepherds Hut next time!

Off putting entrance through working farm yard leads to one of the prettiest and most picturesque sites we have stayed at. Looks across open meadows to Malmesbury Cricket Club and Abbey. Modest simple facilities and friendly owner. A gem.
