Very friendly owners.
The toilets were kept immaculate. Lovely fresh eggs to buy for breakfast.
We usually like a village to walk to but the road outside was quite busy to walk as no footpath.
There was an excellent wood to walk the dog in.

Great little site for our 1st trip away
Being new to caravanning wanted something local just to try setting up the van.
Highly recommended
Nice and quiet site
Good for little ones to just run around, you can keep an eye on them and great place to go out walking in the woods.

Perfect site for us with our young children, could keep an eye on them at all times in the great play park.
We found the windmills interesting and the owners lovely.
There are more seasonal pitches here than touring pitches but seasonal residents very friendly too.
Facilities top notch. Only downside were those pesky dogs barking at the neighbouring farm but wasn't constant nor every night. Don't let it put you off.
We were sad to leave today and so will be back. A little gem of a site.

Absolutely loved this family run campsite. A lovely welcome, well situated, hedged pitches.
Lovely clean facilities. With well manicured lawns.
My only minor gripe is that it is a little over lit at night (a personal thing).
Would highly recommend this site.

This site is a little gem. The toilet/shower block is spotless, warm and has piped music.
The whole site is very well maintained with shrubs between the good size pitches.
Play area for children is in the centre field that can be easily seen from all pitches, so you can keep an eye on your little ones. There is easy access to the woodland walk which was great to walk our 2 little dogs.
My sister and I even stayed an extra 2 nights because we didn't want to leave, one of those days was to pack up as we have disabilities and it took a whole day.
Staff and campers are very friendly and helpful.
We loved our stay and will be back.

This campsite has only two hardstandings, we did ask for a hardstanding as we had a new awning that we wanted to try out. Unfortunately the hardstanding was to put the car and van on, the awning was to go onto the muddy grass which is quite unusual, and we haven't come across it before, consequently the awning was left in the bag.
The site itself is really nice not too large, the spaces are quite big and are separated by little hedges making them quite private. The toilet and shower room is very clean and well looked after.
We did come across a bit of a problem though, dogs barking continuously, not from this site but from the farm next door. If you are a light sleeper like myself it becomes very annoying, and also there are wind machines in the next field that hum all the time, which becomes worse as the wind becomes stronger. It is also straight off the road but actually although there was traffic throughout the day, no traffic noise through the night which was a bonus.
Unfortunately we won't be booking on this site again due to the noise, which is a shame because it is in a good location for visiting lots of interesting places.
So if you are a good sleeper unlike myself, I would say this is a great little site to book onto.

Easy to find, and a nice well kept clean and tidy site,
Showers and toilets spotless,
Some caravans are there for summer, but all the people are very friendly and helpful,
Site was very quiet { no noise } and ideal for Durham and Hartleypool,
Also access to some fishing, {take rod next time},
Fresh eggs from owners hens and a small shop,
There were a few children on site but very well behaved,
Owners very nice, friendly and helpful,

Lovely quiet site not to far from home. We took our 5 year old Grandson with us. Site gates so nice and secure, tidy and spacious pitches. We had ehu which was included in the price.
On site there are Male and female toilet/ shower facilities. These are immaculate and a nice touch was the piped music.
There is a pot washing area and a small on site shop that sells snacks and other essentials, also free range farm eggs at 20p a egg.
The pitches are set out in a circle and in the middle a grassy are which has a small children's play are, two slides, swings and climb frame. My grandson loved this.
The site is a family run affair and the owners are lovely, helpful and very friendly. We were so impressed we've added our names to the seasonal pitch waiting list.
We will definitely be back. Only thing that was lacking was wifi and that's why we didn't rate facilities a 10.
