Just spent a lovely weekend at a lovely quiet site with beautiful surroundings. Friendly and helpful people and basic but very clean facilities. Excellent cafe, all you need for a peaceful break. The surrounding area is beautiful with loads to keep you occupied even if the weather is not good. Busy small towns such as Leek, Buxton, Ashbourne, Bakewell within easy driving distance. Walking is plentiful with the Peak District National Park on the doorstep. Also the steam railway which is now being extended runs adjacent to the site.

Just spent May B/H weekend and had a great time.
Tidy little site, water and 10A HU to each hardstanding pitch. Owners friendly and helpful on arrival, showing us to the pitch on the gated site. Set in beautiful countryside with lovely views.
Lovely meal at the Jervis Arms in Onecote (5mins drive) homecooked and great value. Lots to do in the surrounding area.
The only negative is the toilets. As stated in other reviews, the toilet and shower are dirty with mouldy blinds and cobwebs. Also only two WCs and one shower for 6 vans and 3 family tents. We had one look and used our own!
But for £13pn all in, you cant complain.

Spent a weekend at this site.
Owners very helpful and friendly.
Nice cafe on site.
Lots of great walks in the area, about a miles walk to the nearest pub. Was closed for refurb while we were there, so we went to the Jervis arms in Onecote, lovely fresh cooked food, large portions, and through the week they do 2 meals for £10 and on sat 2 steaks dinners and bottle wine£18. (bargain).
Site only has 5 electric hook ups.
Didn't like the look of shower it was grubby, so we used our own. But for £12 a night you cant complain.

Super site 5 pitches hard standing with electric and water right next to pitches. Toilets and shower on site also available. Cafe open at weekends(recommend daves breakfast).
Access very easy, just 3 miles from leek, 14miles from ashbourne, about 10miles from alton towers.
Churnett valley steam railway runs through the site just about 300mtrs from the pitches. If you want to tour the moorlands or the peak district you couldn't find a better site.
Dave and ann are very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Fabulous site, excellent location. Ideal for walking in the Peak District, some great pubs nearby with really good food. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the breakfast in the cafe is very good.
Good facilities with water and electric to each pitch.
Even better if you like horses as there is usually some horse competition on.
Easy to find on main road from Leek to Ashbourne and quite easy to get to from M1 motorway through some stunning countryside
Very good, new site
