 We all really enjoyed our stay here at Denny Wood, great walks and bike rides. The campsite was quiet and peaceful and the surroundings very tranquil.
Lyndhurst isn't far away and the Beaulieu Road Inn is the nearest place for a meal, however if you want a train from there you are better off going to Brockenhurst!

First impressions of this site were mixed. I had been used to other forest sites which had large grass areas but this site seemed to be a network of gravel tracks.
We found a lovely spot at the back of the site under a big oak tree. I can only say this place grows on you. By the end of the holiday I loved the site and so did the kids.
The surrounding woods are big enough to get lost in for a while and the whole area is beautiful. There are several large fallen trees that the kids loved to climb on.
The entrance track to the site did have quite a few pot holes but nothing to really worry about.
Overall an excellent site and will be going back for sure.

Well what can I say a lovely charming place to spend my week with the family and friends. Horses walking past, beautiful trees surrounding you for privacy.
There are no toilets or showers here so for some that may prove difficult, you will need to bring your own toilet!!! dont forget. But yes I really do have to empersise on the natural beauty on this lovely little wood.
Everything you need right by in the town of Lyndhurst. Friendly natured quiet people normally camp here so you won't be disturbed during the night!! Donkeys also roam the site, they once came up to ours but we were told not to touch or feed them, same as with the horses and famous new forest ponies.
Tip - always remember to take a camera to capture that special time out in the wild with the horses.
