We were looking for a smaller site in the Algarve, and came across this little gem which suited us perfectly.
The site comprises four levels, with two units on each level. The toilets and washroom areas are spotlessly clean and there is plenty of hot water from the powerful shower. There were 11 people staying on the site when we visited, and we didn't experience any waiting for the facilities.
There is a swimming pool by the apartments, and this is sometimes available for the campers.
Plenty of walks in the area, and we often walked into Moncarapacho for coffee and cake and sometimes lunch. The walk took about twenty minutes to half an hour, either by road or across the fields. There are two supermarkets in Moncarapacho.
We walked to Fuseta a couple of times which took around an hour down a quiet country lane. A car is a bonus enabling you to visit the surrounding area. Faro is certainly worth a visit, as are the mountain villages.
Erik and Corrine and very good hosts and usually around to answer any queries. During our stay they provided a lovely New Year's Day lunch around the pool for all the campers.
Highly recommend this site and we hope to revisit later this year.

Just love this place, within a day, feel soooooooo relaxed, as per normal everything was spotless. A new Wi-Fi connection has made so much difference, ( no freezing on Netflix etc)
New washing machine which is a godsend.
Eric and Cory are working hard to ensure that everything is perfect for their guests, and any queries are dealt with promptly.
Toilets and shower are spotless and pool and surroundings immaculate.
This is paradise with nothing but birdsong and occasionally dog barking ( but where can you go in Portugal without the dog barking!)
Plenty of walking tracks and dog walks, down to the local village of moncarapacho where you will find supermarket, chemist, cafes restaurants etc,
A car is really needed as you are in the countryside and it’s about a 10min drive to the coast, but so worth it
This is a little gem and can’t wait to return in January.
See you soon Cory and Erik

We have been returning to Casa Rosa / Lemon Tree Villa for the past 4 years. We love the peace and tranquillity this place offers.
Jan and Kjersti were a lovely couple who were there to help if needed.
Erik and Corrie have now taken over and go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable, nothing seems to much trouble.
The swimming pool is amazing. Sun beds and umbrellas plus chairs dotted around to keep the mid day sun off your head.
Toilets and shower are spotless with plenty of free hot water.
The 8 pitches are two per tier, giving plenty of space in front and to the side of your caravan/Motorhome. Making your pitch very spacious.
We wish Erik and Corrie all the best of luck with their new venture.
We will keep returning to our little piece of paradise.
Terry and Lyn

What a fantastic place. A warm welcome from the owner Jan. Spacious pitches, of which there were just 8. Great views over the valley.
Wonderful swimming pool kept beautifully clean.
No immediate retail establishments or restaurants, which meant a reasonable distance to the nearest village.

Lovely peaceful site, set out on 4 levels(2 caravans per level) in the grounds of Casa Rosa B& B.
Made very welcome on arrival by owner Jan.
10 minutes drive into Olhao or Fuseta.
Would visit again when in area, if lucky enough to be able to get a vacancy.

The web site advises ringing ahead to check availability and we would recommend this as most of the eight pitches were taken by long term winter stayers. We didn't ring but were lucky.
We could see why it is a favourite spot, this quiet site is well set out on terraces, the facilities are good (although only two loos and one shower between all, and the outdoor washing up sink had cold water only - not sure why as water is solar-heated).
The gravel terraces were a bit tough on awning pegs. It is a 20 minute walk, mostly on a footpath to Moncarapacho for shops, market and cafés. It is a very good location for visiting the coast and we drove the 15 minutes down to Fuseta to walk the dog on the beach as local sheep, goats and poultry meant it wasn't possible to walk our lively dog off lead near the site.
The next door builders' yard didn't bother us but we were there over Christmas and all was quiet.

Our second visit to this site which remains a firm favourite for us. As previously the facilities were immaculate and the whole camp site very tidy and well kept.
This is one of very few smaller CL type sites on the Algarve. Its only a few miles in from the coast and you can cycle to Fuseta beach within 15-20 minutes, or drive in 5-10.
Wifi on site which is free, we had a fairly good connection to it at all times.
Otherwise our review from last year covers most aspects - its a really good site, well run, friendly and in a lovely area. Would recommend it highly.

This is the second year we have stayed & have booked for 2014! As regards the builders yard, there is very little noise from it & large trees & bushes virtually hide it. As all caravans & motorhomes have loos & showers I do not understand why it matters that there is only 1 shower & 1 loo each for men & women on site.
This is a perfect site in a perfect spot.
Moncarapacho is a delightful village with many eating places of excellent quality & cheap prices. Coffee at most bars & cafes is 60cents, try finding that price in Britain! Local people very friendly & welcoming.
Plenty of good walking & cycling.

I can agree with all the comments re the site. But can add - the toilet block is one room with ladies and gents toilet and shower room all side by side which gives limited privacy.
If you book in advance 30% deposit is required and is non refundable ( If you are a long term winter stayer that could be a considerable sum if you are unable to keep the booking )
If you give a leaving date and decide to leave early the full amount is charged to your original date given so no flexibility given.
All the above should be considered given winter rates on the Algarve can be as low as 8 euro per night.

The site is in a small hamlet called Lagoao near Moncarapacho. There are 8 pitches on 4 tiers, all hard standing all with ehu. The owners also have 6 apartments to rent in a large villa on site. A very friendly site with a good atmosphere and plenty of impromptu meets with a few glasses of wine arranged by the campers.
One shower and 2 toilets that are very clean and there is plenty of piping hot water and great water pressure. Washing machine which is charged at €3 per load, no hand washing facilities other than dish washing sink which is at toilets and cold water only. Chem disposal and water taps at entrance. There isn't a motor home point to dump grey water so you do need a bucket or barrel to empty your tanks.
There is a Petang court on site and a beautiful swimming pool. All pitches have sunshine as very little shade cover - great for winter sun.
Owners have satellite dish and you can hook in your Freeview box for €1 per night. Great area for bird watching - on site we saw numerous including Hoopoe and Sardinian Warblers. There is a bar in the hamlet of Lagoao 2 minutes from the site (Rodrigues) which is lovely inside - we went for drinks and were made very welcome by owners.
The site is about 20 minutes walk into Moncarapacho town. Its a small town with a couple of supermarkets, several bars and various other shops. The daily market in the hall has plenty of fresh meat, fish and fruit and veg at good prices. A lovely little town square where you can sit out at the pavement cafes and watch the world go by. We recommend eating in Antonio's - fabulous 3 course meal for two including a carafe of wine for €18 - brilliant service, great food and lovely venue.
The bigger town of Olhao is 4 miles away - all main shops and 3 big supermarkets, plus Rio Formosa boat trips and plenty and restaurants and cafes again all reasonably priced.
Agree with previous review re noise from dogs - barking from nearby villas most nights- which does spoil the tranquillity and went right through the night on several occasions.
The site very popular with long stay winter visitors. We would recommend and at €13 per night is very well priced and there is plenty to see and do in the area - great site well run by Jan and Kirsty, we will use again.
