 Easy to find, surprising to find that even ‘locals’ weren’t aware of it. Easy to book, good contact
We had EHU, good value. Only 6 or 7 EHU. Basically large field, basic toilet block, no soap! Rubbish disposal, water and Elsan cleaning
Great location for travelling the area. Great bus service, bus stop 10 mins walk.
Despoiled being very near to a shopping centre, it was a very quiet site, trees all around. Great site for kids, plenty of room. Dogs allowed but must be on leads.

Great site very quiet
Great shopping

Don’t be put off by the road to the site
Cycle lanes are not easy to use in the area and roads very busy
Only one water point and small toilet cabin

This is a fantastic site to stay on and in a very quiet location as well. I couldn't believe how big the site was when we arrived and in such a lovely beauty spot in thorpe,
Its a 10min walk to Castle Point a massive shopping center and all local buses to town although if you wont to get a taxi they will pick you up from the gate,
The campsite Facilities were basic WC but immaculate and cleaned every day and the staff are so helpful and friendly and I would definitely recommend a stay here if you haven't been before I have already booked

This is a nice quiet field on the edge of Boscombe / Bournemouth.
Since the ' Google street van ' visited the approach road has been divided in two. You must approach from the Castle Point end ( intelligent sat navs might point you to the other end If the traffic is heavy on the main road ). The road is uncapped and a little bumpy but nothing terrible.
There are a small number of electric points, pre booking for those recommended. The site wardens reside at a red brick house two back from the site ( no 35 I think ). They visit the site morning and evening.
This seems to be a relaxed site, I doubt if anyone will moan if you turn up early or leave late ( might be handy inform the site first though ).
The huge shopping centre at Castle Point is a short walk away. Besides shopping there are a lot of restaurant chains there as well.
From Castle Point the M1 bus takes you to the heart of Bournemouth. The number 2 series take you into Boscombe.
There are three toilet areas ( all together). A single brick toilet and two prefab style toilets.
I have taken 2 stars off basically because there was no soap and no hand dryers in the prefab ones. However they were clean ( except for the spider webs, but everywhere has them ).
A nice camp site, helped by a friendly warden, will definitely return.

Lovely large level site. Walking distance to Castle Point shopping centre and buses into Bournemouth. We stayed the weekend of the Air Show and cycled to the cliff top at Boscombe which was around 5 miles fairly easy cycling.
We were welcomed onto the site and told that it was fairly busy due to the air show (there were probably around 15 units) but it didn't feel in the least bit crowded. There is also one communal WC on site which was very handy. Would def recommend and shall be returning.
NB: Paid £5 per night in 2011. Have just booked to revisit in 2013 and price has increased to £7 which I think is still excellent value.
